A Meeting to Discuss A Question In Loyalty
(combined posts from the previous site)
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus arrived on the Forbidden Island only moments after he had answered McBurr's message. He had enough men to take the Auror should the man prove to be the traitor, Marcus thought he was. Watching his men get into position; he thought back to the last time he had been here. "Fai had shown not only his skill but he had proved his loyalty as well. I still need to check in with him about just who had he found behind this tree. It can wait though as him telling McBurr to see me here shows this location is still usable." Getting a sly smile to his face, Marcus thought of the test he had for the now Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. If it succeeded then Dawson would learn quickly his place. If it failed then Dawson and McBurr would have a chat with Fai. Marcus laughed, "Either way, I will know where McBurr's true loyalty lies."
One of his men came up to him holding a small picture, "The video from the hidden cameras came in sir. It seems the one that was under Lord Marsden's protection somehow found her way here? Should we ensure she stays silent?"
Marcus laughed as he shook his head watching the enchanted image, "No Fai seems to want to play with her. We will let him have his toy for now. Keep an eye on her though as her skills are intriguing me. I am starting to see the girl's importance. Though if you want to play I doubt Shadow would get very upset? Just remember Fai on the other hand, might view your interference differently. I have seen him kill men for less." Marcus chuckled as the man rubbed his neck and turned white. This man had no backbone. Marcus signaled one of the others. " This tech man fears not only Fai but Shadow as well. That means I can't use him."
He wondered how long McBurr would take to show.
Dempsey McBurr
Dempsey arrived and immediately realized the trap he had entered. Either way, it was as he expected. "Lord Marcus," Dempsey lowered his head respectfully. He knew that the gesture was western and more liken to a tip of the cowboy hat but it was a culture Dempsey hoped Marcus would acknowledge. "You're servant awaits your request." Dempsey knew that he had to choose every word carefully or else he could easily choose his last. But Marcus was a man that could smell fear, and in that Dempsey was not about to give off that fragrance. He was a man and if this was his last days on Earth he would die like one.
Mougi
Mougi entered the scene while utilizing a stealth invisibility that could not be taken from him. He understood the meaningful nature of this meeting between two great warriors and respected both capabilities between the men. However, to Mougi's sight, Dempsey was far too bent toward the light in comparison to the rest of the men there. However, Dempsey had his uses, and he couldn't allow Marcus to kill the man just yet. In fact Marcus himself needed to be harnessed and shown whom exactly it was that he served. The man had gotten to comfortable with his power and it seemed forgotten that he served one more powerful than he. He was close to making the same mistakes as Denial and Dempsey was the way to keep that man in line. Mougi considered the other lackeys that had arrived with Marcus and figured that he would level the playing field.
Mougi lifted his hand palm up while counting every extra man there. He then turned his hand over palm down and shoved it down forcing each man besides the two he was interested in, to their knees face down hands over their ears. He had taken them out of the conversation. Now he floated toward the two and set his feet down on the sand seemingly between them waiting to see what happened next. He would allow them to fight if that is what it took. He would not allow one to kill the other. If they did not fight then whatever they spoke would be knowledge for Mougi.
Esmeralda Russo
Esmeralda had just finished planning Jackson's party when the message from her husband Councilman Landon Russo Sr. came. "What could he want now?", she said as she tore open the message.
Dear Wife,
Brennan Dawson is being his usual thorn. He took something out of Head Auror Dempsey McBurr's office. From his tone and what I could see, he has Dempsey's message to our leader. He is on his way to Seth with it. He ordered for William Brook to be notified. Also, he tried to get the Aurors looking for Dempsey. You are closer so could you inform them of this problem. I am stopping the hunt for Dempsey for now using my seat on the council to override Brennan. Problem is that message in Seth's hands would destroy that. Seth trusts McBurr but if he see that message, Dempsey is through and us along with him.
Councilman Russo
Esmeralda read it quickly. Then had aspirated to the Forbidden Island.
Now bowing to Marcus Linthux she handed the message she had received from her husband to her leader. "What are your orders?"
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus grinned at McBurr's words. "So it takes Fai to get you to me, McBurr! I am not pleased with your lack of respect. Explain why I should trust you as it seems Daniel did? Explain where you were since our leader's murder? And explain why your friend, that you personally vouched for has continually refused to fulfill his promise to the Seven! Tarik Sadaki has only gotten more bold in his refusals. Explain yourself then I will tell you how you can prove your loyalty!"
At that moment he saw all but him and McBurr drop. Anger filled him as he said, "Your doing McBurr?" He had a bad feeling that there were another there. Pulling his wand, "Whoever you are, Show yourself!"
Upon Esmeralda bowing and presenting the note, he read quickly then handed the note to McBurr."Explain as this is a major problem McBurr. That thorn is only still alive because the Number wishes it! He is fighting the Number's conditioning or Zia Zebo is a failure. Either way that Head of Hogwart's security gets to Seth with that letter..." He was furious that yet again Brennan Dawson stood in the way of his plans. They needed to break that Profiler and soon.
Turning to Esmeralda Russo, Marcus Linthux was unsure what to order. He could not stand Zia's younger sister but for now he would put up with her.
Dempsey McBurr
"I meant no lack of respect, and as I stated in my letter, I was in a precarious situation. Whether you trust me or not, you of all people knew what Daniel meant to me. I would do anything to see his dream realized." Upon his request of why Tarik would not translate he had one reply. "Tarik and his brother have bad blood between them. I respect Khalid as much as I respect Tarik but so long as Khalid was among us Tarik would not budge."
All at once the men around Marcus fell to their knees and Dempsey felt a great evil had made its way to their meeting. Marcus blamed him at first but Dempsey could see that even Marcus was at a loss as to their new arrival. Dempsey did not draw his wand as Marcus had and knew that whoever had joined their meeting could not be good. All at once Esmeralda Russo appeared but it wasn't her that caused these men to act they way that they did. However, she brought good news at no better timing. Even though Marcus was angry she confirmed his words and at least had to strip away a bit of Marcus's distrust.
Dempsey sighed and fought a grin from forming on his face. He held his expression to one of seriousness even as he thought of how Brennan was working his plan perfectly. If he could ever get that boy away from the Dark ones grasp he knew that he would share a good laugh with him. That was if he survived this meeting. "The boy came charging into my office to complain about my hiring of Jackson Russo into the Arura service." Dempsey bowed his chin to both Marcus and Esmeralda. "It is my way as Head Arura, of giving the Seven the upper hand in the ministry. Besides, the letters will disappear before Seth has a chance to see it. All the fool will do is deliver a blank piece of paper to Seth and make himself look ridiculous." Dempsey shrugged.
There was still a presence of darkness that had not revealed itself and it was sending chills across Dempsey's skin
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus listened to both of Dempsey's reasoning. "McBurr, you like the Number is playing with Dawson. That thorn is a threat! If it was not for the Number's orders concerning Dawson, I would have dealt with him already! Brennan Dawson is too much like his father to be turned and should just be taken out. Deal with him McBurr before I do! Soon the Number will bore and finally realize that the Head of Hogwart's Security can't be controlled. When that happens I will send Fai to make an example of Brennan Dawson! And McBurr, Fai already knows the other two I want a chat with. You better be right about the Medjai or Fai will find me a way to ensure Tarik Sadaki understands what I think of his refusing to honor his deal? Maybe the princess no longer needs Seven's protection? Shadow will be please to hear that as it was Daniel that has stayed his hand so far. Can you handle problems or are you getting soft McBurr?"
Marcus hoped the Number never realized that Marcus had every intention of one day breaking the Seven's pact with the Number. "A being that allows himself to be imprisoned, I have no intention of following! For now I need that being's power but as soon as I have what Daniel wanted, then the Number will learn the truth of who runs things." The Leader of the Seven could not help but feel uneasy.
Mougi
Mougi decided that now was the time to remind everyone who was in control. He took a small step out of his invisibility knowing that it would appear that he stepped from an invisible door and shock the other to their core. He also decided that he would lower the warm temperature of the Forbidden Island so that his mere presence would give those of which he stood in the presence of a chill all the way to their soul, except maybe Dempsey because of his current leanings.
"There will be no such dealings against anyone that the Number has ordered untouchable." He reached a hand toward Marcus's throat and without touching him began to strangle him. He then relented and withdrew his grasp because he needed this man to keep Dempsey in line. He needed Dempsey to keep this man in line and he needed both to keep the wary members of the Seven in line. He eyeballed Marcus. "Attack me, I dare you." He then turned to Esmeralda and snickered toward her. She had slightly more use than her sister. Maybe he could use her to keep both men in line. One glance at Dempsey revealed the man's shock and fear at seeing him. All at once he felt the existence of his rival. Even there, at the Island of nowhere Tianshi's return could affect him.
"No!" Mougi's torrent of dark furry exploded from him like a dark supernova knocking everyone around to their backs. "How? by what manner of light could he..." He turned to Dempsey and then to Marcus. "You will find Tianshi and you will force him to do what he wills not. You will make him kill and I don't care if it is your own soul that is lost. If you fail me I will take away everything you have ever loved." He turned to Dempsey, "Your Son," He turned to Esmeralda, "Your Family," the turned to Marcus, "Your power. Find him and make him break his own oath so that he is forced to return to the cosmo's." With that Mougi stepped back into the shadow of his invisibility and then left the Island to report to his master of what treachery he had learned and how to deal with it next. Mougi would never act without first receiving the word from his god.
Dempsey McBurr
"Yes sir," Dempsey stated as a cold chill caused him to pull his trench coat tighter across his body. "I will make life difficult for him, sir." Dempsey replied.
At the mention of Tarik as the cold crawled throughout the extent of his skin but did not penetrate it causing goose bumps appear in random places like his hands. "I will encourage him to see things our way. If I must I will use Fai to convince him." And before he could continue, because Marcus had so many demands, and because the cold was all around him and getting worse Dempsey huddled deeper into his coat.
All at once he saw a man or creature step out of thin air and make a very powerful demand concerning who was in control. Strangely the creature stood as it appeared against Marcus which further shocked Dempsey. After threatening Marcus then challenging him to attack the creature or entity or whatever it was that appeared to be clothed in human flesh, flipped out screaming and knocking him onto his back.
What in all the magical realms was this being? Was this the dark ones hit man that attacked Fai? Mougi, Dempsey thought. He wanted them to attack Tianshi. Who was that?
But then he heard the threat to his son and nothing else seemed to matter. Dempsey could not allow this thing to harm his son. He could care less about his threats to the others because his son was his being at that moment. Bina was his love. But Dempsey could never surrender his soul to such a creature and decided within himself that he would do the exact opposite of what this maniac desired. Of course Dempsey had no love for the Dark one and had already chosen his path. Now he had to warn this Tianshi, whoever, or wherever he was.
Esmeralda Russo
Esmeralda had been on bended knee since she arrived. As usual, Marcus Linthux had ignored her. She had felt her master prior to his arrival and smiled. The Dark One had finally sent for the one being that would shift the war in their favor. Esmeralda glanced at the new Head of Magical Law Enforcement Dempsey McBurr. She noticed he was not affected to the degree that Lord Linthux was and for some reason, this knowledge concerned her. "Could McBurr not be as devoted to the Dark One as he leads on?", Esmeralda wondered. She chose to deal with the knowledge later as she did owe the man for the favor he showed her son Jackson.
When Marcus started talking about daring to disobey the Dark One's degree concerning Brennan Dawson, Esmeralda shook her head. She wondered how long would Mougi allow such plain disrespect for their god. She did notice that McBurr also seemed to not be interested in Marcus' comments.
As the being of Darkness appeared, Esmeralda's body shifted to face him. Her forehead touched the ground as she said, "Lord Mougi!" Esmeralda gave a sly grin as Marcus was about to see the true power of her god. Mougi would teach the foolish new leader of the Seven what defying the Dark One would cost him.
As it seemed Marcus would dare attack Mougi, Esmeralda drew her dagger from its hiding spot. Glancing at her god, "Let Me Be The One to Sacrifice Marcus, My Lord Mougi." She needed to prove her worth to her lord and master. Only her two children from Khalid had taken the Dark One's mark. Esmeralda cringed as she knew the Dark One was not at all pleased that Landon who was her son from her affair with Khalid's grandson Antonio was actually fighting against the Dark One. Stella was not even her child but the child of her husband's former love interest and the woman's actual husband.
When Esmeralda heard and felt Mougi's fury, she actually felt fear and then heard the one name that all of the Dark Sect feared, "Tianshi.
When her lord threatened her family, Esmeralda head dropped as she had to know what thanks to Tia Andreas awaited her youngest son Landon.
She noticed Mougi's distress and watched him disappear. She could feel his aspiration and felt she knew exactly where he went. A growl at both Marcus and Dempsey didn't do justice to how she felt. But she felt lead to follow Mougi and aspirated after him.
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus grinned as he said, "Just deal with them before I do McBurr. Now does the Ministry have any insight into Daniel's murderer? I want that murderer, McBurr!" He wanted an example made of the person.
Marcus' thoughts went to the only Ravenclaw of Daniel's year to dare refuse to join them."Sasha was Daniel's equal. I wonder if her niece had got my message. I am counting on the fact that Sasha will do anything to ensure Tia's safety. Oh wait my beautiful Sasha until you find out what you will have to do to keep the princess protected this time." Marcus had no intention of honoring his word as he planned on controlling the princess as well.
As the strange man appeared, Marcus' very soul went cold. How dare this thing attack him? Something inside Marcus stayed his hand though.
As the man left, followed by Esmeralda, Marcus turned to McBurr, "How dare that Thing think he leads the Seven! McBurr, did you feel the fear of both Esmeralda and that Thing in regards to this Tianshi? Do you think this Tianshi was what Daniel was looking for?"
He turned to his other men and exploded, "You are All Useless! That Thing should Never have Gotten that Close! Leave Us as McBurr is the only one Worthy of Being in My Presence!" Marcus was not about to allow these followers see how rattled the being had made him.
Once him and McBurr were alone, Marcus smiled as he said, "McBurr, do you think you can find this Tianshi? I am also interested in who summoned him, your thoughts on this?" Marcus was still leery of trusting McBurr fully but at least that Thing seem not to have as much control over McBurr as it seemed to have over the rest. To the new Leader of the Seven that made Dempsey McBurr's place in the Seven's inner circle.
"Do you think Dawson's skill at Profiling will serve us here?" Marcus wonder though how to force the Head of Hogwart's Security to work for the Seven. "Maybe we should just kidnap those who we need? McBurr, Maybe I could send Fai to grab that kid Luke? Do you think us having the boy, Brennan would be more willing to comply?"
Dempsey McBurr
Yes," Dempsey nodded while holding his composure in like fashion. "The mere mention of his name send Esmeralda into panic mode and that... thing into chaos." Dempsey didn't like it or Esmeralda for that matter so when Marcus asked the next question it made him think. "I might, and if it is enough to make that... thing whatever it was, Mougi, react that way then it would be worth finding out." He thought about the relation to Daniel's dream and that made Dempsey allow a half grin. "If he could be the realization of Daniel's dream..." He almost couldn't speak considering the implications. "I would be overjoyed. And to that I have placed finding Daniel's murderer at the top priority of my best detectives." He had to remember to discuss that with William. It was actually something of an equal importance to Dempsey as it seemed to be to Marcus.
Dempsey considered his questions and wondered if Marcus was leaning away from the Dark One. Even if Marcus sought his own path, there had to be something that brought him joy other than the deeds of that despicable creature. That alone would be his path to redemption. "I'm not sure. Dawson is a loose cannon even to the Ministry. I fear it is best to serve our cause to leave him as he is so that his antics only frustrate Seth and the ministers he so adamantly adores. I intend to have Dawson running in circles and bouncing conspiracy theories to nowhere. He will keep them all in confusion so you see even his foolishness serves a purpose." Dempsey considered the final idea and decided that submittance along with logic would be the best reply. He needed Marcus now, and he needed him alive and in control of the Seven or else who knew what that Mougi would do... place Esmeralda in power and then the world would go to the birds. "I think if we play the side of that creature, we will submit ourselves to his will. If we truly seek out his enemy, Tianshi, then we need to be willing to try a different tactic. I once heard a saying about a fish that sits at the bottom of the ocean. It will sit quietly waiting for its enemies, its food to come closer. It remains silent and doesn't move. It's enemies come nearer and start taking small bites off of it and still it doesn't move and then when all think it is dead and are ready to have a feast it strikes and kills them all and devours them." Dempsey shrugged. "But I am willing to move as you wish, my lord. I would gladly inform Fai of your desire. Or, you could summon him yourself and inform him, but if you're thinking what I'm thinking, then getting rid of this Mougi needs to be a top priority."
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus thought hard on what McBurr said. "I now see why Daniel listened to your advice. McBurr, Tarik? Should we remind him of Daniel protection of the girl Tia? Should I have her brought here or better yet my home? Do you think your Medjai friend will get the message? What can we hold over him?"
Marcus looked around, "I think a change is in order. I will allow you to try your way as far as Brennan Dawson is concerned. McBurr, it better work or I want something to hold over him, Understand?"
Marcus still felt as if something was being overlooked and it caused him to cast his eyes over the ground. "McBurr, What do you know of the Cloaked Man that Daniel spoke of? The one known as Protector?" The Leaders mind went to the young group at the school and it leader.
"How to deal with the Core? I think it is time to remind that group of the fate of Revolution. Unless you have a better idea?", he asked thinking of the Number's interest in them. Daniel Marsden had destroyed Revolution. Marcus knew there were members from the old group still living but the group itself was destroyed.
Dempsey McBurr
Dempsey considered Tarik and what Marcus was asking. He wished he could get this man to see how much his way of thinking fell in line with the dark one. "Have you heard of the saying that it is easier to catch flies with honey than Vinegar? Let's pretend that Tarik is such a thing. Would it better to have him come to us willing to do as we wish or to try and force the man to do that which he won't? Everyone has a price, so to speak. I would prefer to entice him with something that he desires than threaten him with something that he doesn't. We can determine his reaction if we entice him but we can only try and make a reaction if we force him. His main reaction was because of Khalid. Do you know where Khalid is? neither do I. With Khalid out of the question, so to speak, I would like a chance to sell him on the prize, unity between muggles and Magical. Of course the magical would rule the Muggle as was Daniel's dream but the unity would pose a sweet prize for one who favors peace." Dempsey hoped he convinced Marcus of the plan because he himself was still working out the details before he went to Tarik with it.
He heard the next comment about Brennan and chuckled. "The boy is monitored day and night. I do have collateral in case he tries to escape the endless circle I've pitted him on. Though, I hope two keep two young trouble makers in line by balancing them out and pitting them against each other. The Russo boy... Jackson. Those two will be running circles around each other for years and hopefully to their dying day, so long as Esmeralda doesn't get in the way."
"The protector..." He thought. He heard of the man but was afraid to share too much because Dempsey's information would only strike to ask more questions. "He's under investigation. I believe he was raised by the Dark One but that is speculation."
How to deal with Core? Dempsey himself had been asking that same question, but for the very fact that Marcus was concerned about them. How to protect core would be the best question. "I think I might have an idea. I can use my connections within the ministry to push back against core and groups like it within Hogwarts and force the children to disperse. I can think of a few council member's that share our dream that would be perfectly fitted to oversee that no group organizations be allowed at Hogwarts. Then, if they break the rules we can punish them accordingly without raising a finger."
Marcus James Linthux
Marcus chuckled as he said, "I don't care how you get that Medjai, McBurr! Just get him working for us and soon." The Leader of the Seven did not trust the Medjai. "Nobody could be that pure hearted. That Medjai knows more about the Runes then he told Daniel. McBurr will get his chance at turning Tarik but if that fails I will have Fai find me leverage to force the man." Either way Marcus planned on succeeding where Daniel failed.
When Dempsey told of his plans for the Dawson Brat, Marcus shrugged as he had never trusted the Russos. "And if your plan for Dawson don't work? I heard that Brennan was one of the best at Profiling, so what if he realizes what you are doing? Do you think he has a weakness we can use to push him into working for us? McBurr, can you turn him where others have failed?" Marcus wondered if he should tell Dempsey the activation words that he had learned. He wanted the head of Hogwart's security if they could get him. Marcus was working on learning the deactivation code word but Zia was tight lipped and had only revealed the words that would activate the Hit Wizard.
"McBurr, according to Zia, Brennan can be awakened by using the words 'The Core'. I have yet to learn how to put him back to sleep. Maybe we should awaken him prior to another doing so? At least then we control him instead of somebody like Zia, what do you think?", Marcus was fearful that the entity would activate Brennan before McBurr did.
Marcus smiled as he said, "Do what you need to but the Core and Force join the Seven or I want them no longer existing. Understand?"
Dempsey McBurr
"And if your plan for Dawson don't work? Do you think he has a weakness we can use to push him into working for us?"
Dempsey considered his next words carefully. He knew that the impact of his words could carry consequences on the lives of others and such a responsibility was to be taken with the utmost regard. "If my plan doesn't work, as head of the Department of Law Enforcement I am ready to send Brennan to maximum security lock down at Azkaban until reason can be made with his scattered brain." Before Marcus could question him on his means Dempsey already had his reply. "He has already displayed behavior unbecoming of an Arura. Derelict of duties derelict while chasing conspiracy theories and worst of all disrespect toward authority. I have enough evidence right now to bring charges against him if he so much as sneezes the wrong direction. But as his potential could prove useful for our cause I've given him some rope to mature, but little leeway for him to move outside of our desired path."
I heard that Brennan was one of the best at Profiling, so what if he realizes what you are doing?
"His potential is evident, but his youth confounds him causing him to be presumptuous, impulsive, and lacking of oversight."
Do you think he has a weakness we can use to push him into working for us?
"Everyone has a weakness. His impulsive behavior makes him more of a loose cannon than a powerful ally, as of yet. I will spend some time analyzing his records dating back to his birth. I'll even do an extensive background check on his parents so that I can grasp what kind of upbringing had. At the same time I will monitor his behavior to see into the very core of what drives him. Then, like Tarik, I will that information to draw his thinking away from his current beliefs and closer into agreement with the Seven. It will take some time. He is a young man and at a stage of late adolescent development. At this stage he is forming what is called advanced perspective toward life, right and wrong, and the world as a whole. People within his age group build lasting philosophical characteristics toward how they view the world, good and evil, and they're part in the greater scheme of things. With my knowledge and experience I will open his eyes to a different way of thought. However, I dig deep into his past to be aware of what kind of boundaries he has built within himself. Once I have that information I can either circumvent his guards or simply force him to abandon them by revealing the error in their way of thought. This cannot be forced, it must be carefully planned and executed in such a manner that his subconscious is effected without his cognition being the wiser. At least until it's too late and becomes a part of his way of thinking." Dempsey grinned. "I mastered in psychology during my studies in the muggle realm."
McBurr, can you turn him where others have failed?
"That is my intention. I must also study past failures to turn him so that I can understand why their attempts produced undesirable results and how to avoid their mistakes. I must also take into account the damage inflicted by previous attempts. Such events are likely to have caused trauma. Like all human's, muggle or magical, the subconscious mind will create protective factors, instant warnings and reactions that are outside an individual's cognitive reason. All biological creatures that have a brain rely on the limbic system to store subconscious reactions to every situation that we have faced in life. The limbic system controls involuntary functions such as the heart and lungs, and reflex. I will have to overcome his subconscious reflex toward our perspective, and create a new command within this part of his brain that is less hostile toward our vision." Dempsey hoped he hadn't spun a web of knowledge so thick that Marcus simply tired of it all and ordered Brennan's death. "That code word is direct example of someone else tampering with his subconscious. I will obtain all the information needed so that I can utilize that code to implant new thoughts and subconscious reactions. With the tool that you just gave me I think that it is entirely possible to strip away his defenses and create an open willingness to toward our plans. I beg that you a lot me some time to insure that I can make the changes to Brennen's way of thinking permanent or else the old way of thinking will attack the new and bring the matter to his cognition and blow the entire plan to bits. At that point I would be forced to jail him indefinitely."
Dempsey heard Marcus's reason for Force and Core and nearly chuckled to himself. He wanted to control that which didn't understand how to be controlled.
"I understand Lord Marcus. I will keep the office of Arura's out of the matters of those groups. I fear that containing them to following the Seven is like throwing sand in the air and expecting all of it to land back in your hand. The problem with trying to control groups of people is that people are variables, especially children. We can monitor their activities and formulate a means to intercept them. Though, my experienced dealing with people is that they liable to do the unexpected without logical reason. Children are prone to erratic behavior due to their immaturity and illogical reasoning. Would it not be better to pick specific members from both groups that have both the ability and the mentality to further the cause of the Seven? Then we can leave the lesser's to weave conspiracy theories that lead nowhere and confound the Ministry over things that do not exist?
"My philosophy is that every man and woman alive can be made to server our purpose whether they know it or not. We simply have to use the characteristics that drive to do and be who they are in ways that benefit us. I focus on being aware of everyone and everything around me. If my enemy goes to the same coffee shop, orders the same type of coffee, reads the paper for ten minutes every day before continuing on to work he has a pattern. All people have patterns and all patterns can be manipulated to serve our benefit. I choose to kill individuals whose threat level is greater than my ability to exploit their patterns."
