Keeping Secrets, Secret. And Keeping Students Safe. (Forbidden Forest)
Tarik Sadiki
Tarik-Ari had not gone very far into the Forbidden Forest. In fact, he was actually at it's edge behind a tree. The note he had put for the Potter girl Miley to find was misleading for two reasons. One he wanted to test her and Tia's bond. If it was strong, then Miley would bring her friend but only after much debate. Second he wanted to see if she was pure hearted. If she was then she too, would only go to the edge of the forest. Tarik-Ari was taking a very big risk in showing his hand this soon. He knew his brother would realize that somebody was looking very closely at the Auror known as Potter's death. When he finds out, my brother won't care that she is but a child. He will destroy her. ,Tarik-Ari thought realizing how dark his brother actually was. He had told Dempsey about him hoping to show his friend that he fully trusted Dempsey.
Now he would wait to see Miley Potter's heart. ]i]How many of your friends are you bring young one? And how many are the gods having me help? [/i], Tarik-Ari thought.
Miley Potter
Miley had crept out of bed in her dorm. She didn't want to wake anyone up. She knew that Tia will meet her in the Forbidden Forest. She was both nervous and a little excited. She was excited because she was finally going to learn something about her father. Nervous because well...she wondered how she was going to react to this. But she knew that since Tia was going to be there with her...she knew that everything would hopefully be okay. She avoided any teachers or prefects that were paroling the castle just so that she could make it to the front doors. As soon as she went through the doors she quietly ran near the forest so that she could just be a little near the Forest. She then started to walk into the Forest, still feeling a bit nervous. She didn't want to walk to far into the forest because she knows about the certain types of creatures that could be in there. She looked around wondering where on earth the messenger could be.
"Hello? I um...got your message. My name's Miley Potter...you said you got some information about my father?" Miley said bit nervous. "My friend Tia is coming soon. I know you said not to have anyone with me...but I trust her with this. And I need her with me for this. If your here just give me a signal or something." Miley added as she quietly looked around the Forest. Merlin...it's sure spooky here. I hope Tia comes here fast. Miley thought to herself.
Tocanema Tia Spellman
Tia had to hurry if she still was going to help her best friend Miley. They were suppose to meet at the Forbidden Forest but Tia had left right before her last class was suppose to start. She had hope to see who they were dealing with before the meet. So Tia had skipped a class. While she was there waiting for this mystery person; Tia had gotten caught by none other than her favorite Teacher Professor Wise. It had cost her 20 points and a major talking to. Worst of all was the fact it looked like Tia was back on the Professor bad side and she had not seen who they were suppose to meet.
Now as she was trying to get to Miley who had already left; Tia had to wondered if just maybe this meet was a setup. On top of everything else, she had been told by her cousin that the Runes professor knew who she was and that he was possibly a Medjai. Jayce had tried to fix the problem but was unsure if she had . This was turning out to be a very bad day for Tia. Jayce had also told Tia very bluntly that she needed to stop blaming herself for what happened in Canada and stop trying to run from her doubts. Was that what Tia was doing? She didn't know. At the moment she could not think about her meeting with Jayce. Miley was out here somewhere and probably in a whole lot of trouble. Which is why Tia had left a message for both Jayce and Miranda about this mysterious note of Miley's. Tia knew that they would most likely need backup and who better then the Allies. She just hoped that Lily could find the others and bring them. She also hoped that Miley would not be too upset about her telling the others. The note had said that Miley couldn't but it never said she couldn't.
Tia at that moment saw Miley at the edge of the Forest and ran up to her before she was too far in.
" Miley stop. We are not going in there." ,Tia started a little loudly. Quietly her voice she continued, "At least not without backup. Sorry but I had to leave the others a message. Hopefully they are on their way. Like Veronica said we are better together as a group."
Miley Potter
Miley jumped a bit turned around and saw Tia standing right behind her.
"Sorry Tia..I was just a little nervous. I was afraid that since I got the note...it lead me into nothing. And I didn't want that to happen" Miley said to her honestly. Which was the truth...she was excited that she was finally going to learn something about her past...and that was her father!
Miley was confused at first but then nodded in agreement. Tia was right...she would probably need back up. But she wondered who would be there. She looked at Tia.
"Um Tia...how many people are coming?" Miley asked she sure hoped that it wasn't all of the allies. And only her closest friends like Jayce, Miranda, Chris, and Lily
Tarik Sadiki
Tarik-Ari was not surprised when the young Tia showed up. From where Tarik-Ari stood, he could hear their whole conversion. 'So young Tia is starting to show her leadership skills. Good.' ,Tarik-Ari thought. He too was wondering how many would be coming. Looking at the young ones he wondered if he should show them how much in danger they could be. 'I am only a tree down from them. I could hit them easily from here.',Tarik-Ari thought as he withdrew his wand. Looking and listening for any sounds that should not be, Tarik-Ari stepped from behind the tree. 'It is time to give them a wake-up call.' ,Tarik-Ari thought as he said the non-verbal spell for a full body bind and directed it at Tia.
"I thought I made my note clear Ms.Potter. I believe I said Tell No One. Did I Not?", Tarik-Ari said sternly. Inside he was thinking, ' If I was my brother they would both be dead. As my Saygar always said The best lessons learned are the ones you experience. Now let's see how far they have come.
'Miley Potter
Miley then looked at Tia oddly. Something happened to her. Someone...or something hit her with a non verbal spell. "Tia? Are you okay?" Miley asked worriedly about her friend.
Miley gasped in shock and turned around. She was scared on the inside. But on the outside she was not. She was brave like a Gryffindor. Even though she is a Slytherin.
"I'm sorry. But I trust her. She's my friend." Miley said looking the figure of the person. Miley began to think to herself. That voice...is familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. Miley thought to herself.
"What did you do to Tia? Please? Only a few people are coming...Not only I trust Tia with this information. But my other very close friends should know about this to. Please? We won't tell a sole of what we find out." Miley said to the figure. Inside her body it was shaking...But on the outside...its hope. I can do this...I can do this....I can do this. Miley chanted in her head repeatedly. She was ready for this...ready to find out what happened to her father.
Jayce Anderson
Jayce was glad she didn't have a class at the moment. It allowed her to do as she wished, and in this case, that was trying to keep Tia and Miley safe. Both girls were a lot more impulsive than Jayce herself was, and she liked to think she had the chance to even at least her cousin out a bit. After all, rushing headlong into things wasn't exactly healthy, if you didn't have anyone to watch your back. Jayce had made that her job. So, she'd largely stay in the background, and help where she could. Maybe it was a bit slytherin of her, but Jayce would rather other people take the limelight and the attention. Well, except when it came to academics. She couldn't stifle her competitive spirit when it came to grades and her thirst for knowledge. But then again, it was another thing to keep her in the background. After all, Ravenclaws were expected to be smart and brainy, spending their time with their nose in a book. It would have drawn more attention to her if she wasn't like that.
So tonight, it was time to make sure her cousin didn't get in over her head. Or at least, too far in over her head. She was glad Tia had at least left her and Mir notes, though she was heading down alone at the moment. All of her dorm mates were absent, as Jayce donned a darkly navy blue cloak, and dark gloves. Her hair was tied back but she kept the hood down for now, tucking her gloved hands in her pocket. It wasn't unusual for students to go out for an evening stroll, when they weren't busy after all. Her wand was in her hand, though still in her pocket. As she was about to close the lid of her trunk, a flash of white porcelain caught her eye. She paused, hovering over the decision of whether or not to take her mask. She shrugged, a small smile on her lips. Why not, after all. She tucked the white mask in an inner pocket of her cloak, before heading out.
She blended in quite well with the dimness of the evening, looking like just a casual student, indiscriminatable from one of the unknown masses from any distance. She casually let her eyes roam around the area, looking like she was enjoying the dying day while she was checking for teachers, or anyone who could report her. Gradually, she began to make her way towards the Forbidden Forest, pulling her hood up as if to protect her ears from the cooling temperatures. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she saw two figures at the edge of the forest. That would be Tia and Miley, most likely. But what the hell were they doing so close to the forest? She started looking for cover, far enough away that most people who would be at the meeting place wouldn't notice her. She slunk in with the growing shadows along the hilly ground, her unoccupied hand reaching reflexivly for her mask. Now certain that she'd be fully exposed if she went any closer, Jayce pressed herself against the back of a rock slab. She was out of view now, but could hear everything that was being said. They weren't exactly be subtle, aftre all.
That would be Miley. She sounded pretty anxious, right now. Jayce couldn't blame her.
Jayce cautiously peaked her head around the stone, the cloak shadowing the white of the mask. Her wand aimed at her cousin, as Jayce could tell the spell by the stiffness. She retreated her face back behind the stone, having her aim. "Finite." The spell was a whisper on her lips as her wand moved subtly, the spell heading to unlock her cousin. She withdrew behind the stone completely again. No matter how much she wanted to confront him, Jayce had a lesson almost beaten into her head. 'Never let the other know you have a disadvantage. If that is unavoidable, avoid letting him or her know just how much of a disadvantage.' ow hopefully her cousin would know better than to announce she had just been released.
Tarik Sadiki
Tarik-Ari knew the girl Tia was fine. He only did the spell to get Miley to realize that she could have been walking into a trap. He already saw multiple problems with these Allies. 'They don't think, they just act.',Tarik-Ari thought as he heard a bug get crushed. ' So at least one more has shown up. Let's see what this one does.' ,Tarik-Ari thought as a sly grin crossed his face.
Tarik-Ari changed his grin to a warm one. 'She still doesn't know the voice. That will hopefully change with this.' , Tarik-Ari thought as this was the reason he had wanted to be on first name bases with them.
"Miley, Do not be sorry. But if I had been the one that killed Leo, you both would have been dead.", Tarik-Ari started wondering if his young cousin had even once thought that this meet could be a trap. " Miley, you Allies still for the most part have a lot to learn. Why should I risk war to help you when you can't even work together?", Tarik-Ari finished knowing he had already was helping and protecting these young Medjai. He would teach them as he was taught. Thinking as he looked at the rock that hid another one of The Allies, 'And the lessons have already begon, young ones. You behind the rock seem to be the smart one. Could you be Jayce?'
Seeing the white mask out of the corner of his eyes, he thought, 'Yes, Jayce. Good, now what are you going to do?' At that moment he did the non-verbal spell for a full barrier.
"What do you think I did?" Tarik-Ari replied with a look over at Tia. Her hands were still by her side and she laid on the ground stiff as a board. "It is an easy spell to know by sight as is it's counter." ,Tarik-Ari said with a frown, for he was pretty sure even a first year would have known it. At her last question he answered, "But you Allies are not coming as one are you? If I was here to hurt you; I could have picked you guys off one by one."
Out of the corner of his eye he saw the mask disappear again behind the rock. Looking over at Tia he saw that her right hand was now on her medallion. It was a sign that she was nervious. It was also a sign that her cousin had in fact counter the spell. 'Good, Jayce. To bad your cousin don't know how to stay still but no matter.' ,Tarik-Ari thought smiling at both Tia and the girl Jayce behind the rock. Time to let the young one to know that she in fact had been spotted.
Looking at Tia he said calmly, "Tia you can get up now and stop messing with that medallion. That was not a smart move."
Looking over at the rock Tarik-Ari said, "Jayce, you can come out now or do I need to remove the rock from your view?"
Jayce Anderson
Even as she stayed behind the rock, Jayce's mind was running as she listened to their conversation.
Jayce blinked. He wanted to help them? Not completely off the wall, but why? What reason did he have to want to help them? She could feel her curiosity raising it's head within her. It would recquire a bit more information, on that subject. If he didn't tell them, then she would have to research what she could reach, to find out the reason. And he had a very good point. A point she herself had tried to enforce in her cousin, as the girl had a compulsion to always try and handle things on her own. As she thought about it, Jayce could feel more than a hint of embarrassment. Yes she had tried to have her cousin accept help, but hadn't she been doing the same? How often had Jayce taken the time outside of meetings and such to actively track down the other AFA members? Had she ever offered them help, or asked for help? Other than Mir and Tia, Jayce didn't feel spectacularly close with any of them. And they called themselves Allies. Jayce would have to work on fixing that personally, before she went around telling Tia to do the same. Although, Tia tended to get into a lot more trouble than Jayce ever had.
Jayce nodded her head in agreement. They should have come together, should have organized all this. Even though she had come behind, Jayce was minimal backup. The others should have been here to help, some visible, some hidden. And it was all because Miley didn't trust everyone else enough to bring up the note at the last meeting, so that they could work on this problem. Jayce felt even more embarrassed at the realization that she would have done the same as Miley. Though she liked to think that she'd have organized it better with the friends she had chosen. But then again, didn't everyone like to think they would have done better, when looking at a situation with the potential to go horribly, horribly wrong?
Jayce's breath caught a moment after he said that. It was a bit of a surprise, but she really should have expected it. After all, Tarik-Ari had a good vantage point to see everything that was going on in the area. Including someone hiding behind a rock. Now, she could either stay until he blasted the rock to nothing, or come out and retain some dignity for not cowering like a scared little girl. She was mildly impressed with herself to discover that she wasn't scared in the slightest. Just calmly prepared to deal with anything that needed dealing with. She walked out from behind the rock as if she was not a child caught sneaking around somewhere no student should be at this moment. She kept her eyes on Tarik-Ari, as she approached like a shadow with a pure white face and blue-green eyes. She stopped when she reached her cousin, still watching him warily. "Good evening, Tarik-Ari." Her voice was muffled and deepened slightly by the obstruction of the mask, but it was still recognizable as Jayce's.
Miley Potter
"Miley, Do not be sorry. But if I had been the one that killed Leo, you both would have been dead.",
Miley's eyes widened at this. She didn't tell him her father's name. Does he know her father...If so how? "I don't believe I said my father's name was Leo." Miley then also realized something. She had heard the word...killed in the sentence. Is my father dead? Has he been dead this entire time? When did he die? Who killed him? Why would that person kill him anyways? Miley looked up at the person. "I'm sorry. I don't know if I heard you correctly....d-did you say killed? Is my father d-dead?" Miley asked. Inside her body she was shaking. She knew she had heard wrong. She just knew it. But then again maybe she didn't. Maybe she heard him right. If her father was dead why didn't anyone in the Ministry alerted her mother about this? If this is true and her father's been dead for these 11 years she swore that she'll find the monster that killed him. And once she found him she swore she will vow revenge on that monster for killing him in the first place and for not letting her have the chance to get to know her father.
Miley jumped a bit when she heard another voice come into the area. She turned around and saw Jayce standing right next to Tia. "Gosh Jayce you scared me a bit." Miley said looking at Jayce. She then came into another realization. She heard Jayce say Tarik's name. So Tarik sent the note. But what could he have to do with my dad? Miley thought to herself. Miley swallowed her throat. "Tarik? Is that you? How do you know my dad?" Miley asked confused looking out in the woods. She didn't need just Jayce and Tia here she knew she would probably need Lily here as well. Lily had been through everything with her. She needed her for this, she just know it. She probably thought that Tia had let Lily know where she was going to be tonight. Let's just hope she gets the note...and soon.
Miranda Dawson
Miranda stared at the note that Tia had sent to her, contemplating whether to go or not. She had her faded blue jeans on, her plain navy blue t-shirt, black hoodie, and her black converse shoes on. She decided that if she was going into the Forbidden Forest or not, that she might as well not dress up in any of her good clothes. Not that she many nice clothes, anyway. Most of her things were faded and worn out. But her clothes didn’t matter at the moment. It was her choice whether she wanted to go after her younger friends and act as the oldest of the group as to not have them in any trouble? Or she could just be the coward she was at not wanting to get caught wandering around the castle grounds after curfew? Miranda sighed as she kept staring at the note. What to do? Be reckless or be responsible?
Miranda jumped as she heard the door next of the 2nd year girls’ dormitory shut softly. It was official. She was going into the Forbidden Forest. She would have never heard that door shut since her dormitory was sound proof. Hogwarts was telling her to go to protect her friends. She didn’t know how face Jayce was already, but she blue out the glowing candle next to her and put her wand in her back pocket and headed towards the door. She opened it slowly, and carefully as to not make any noise to her fellow Ravenclaw year mates.
Once out of the Ravenclaw House, Miranda made it through the castle without any disruptions or staff to catch her out of bed. Which made her relieved enough to actually start running once she was out of the castle. She kept running until she reached the entrance of the forest. It was so dark that she had pulled out her wand and said under her breath, “Lumos.” A small filter of light came forth out of her wand. It was much better than a flash light with poor lighting.
Miranda walked into the forest slowly and cautiously, pointing her wand in any direction she heard any suspicious noise at. And she didn’t stop walking until she heard voices. Familiar voices, at that.
Judging by what she just heard, Jayce must have her special mask on… That’s why Miranda admired Jayce. She always made the most wisest choices. Even for someone as young as her, she always made some smart moves. And, putting on the mask was one of them. Now, that she was in the forest, she was slightly a bit nervous. Not only did she know nothing about why Tarik had asked Miley to come to the forest, but could she trust him? He seemed a little odd when she first met him in Ancient Runes class. Like he knew her and many others. Mostly the Allies members. Did all of their parents form a secret group and now the second generation had to carry it on? And Tarik was there to speak to them about it? No, because most of the Allies still had their parents…
Taking a slow and shaky deep breath, Miranda said softly, “Hello, girls.” She nodded to all three of them before nodding again and saying, “Tarik-Ari.”
((OCC: Sorry if this isn't exactly well done as all of the others are, but I have put this off too long and it was a little hard for me to get Miranda in when the thread has been going on so long without her, anyway. But, I've tried my best)).
Kalaira Darus
As usual Kalaira was wandering around the halls of the school, unable to sleep like her fellow house mates. A lot was on her mind, the detention, Tia, classes, her future...it all seemed never ending, like her head was never going to be silent again. Out of habit Kalaira reached into the pocket of her robe looking for her bouncy ball but instead came into contact with a piece of paper. 'I don't remember putting any paper in my pocket...' Kalaira thought to herself as she pulled it out and looked at it. Reading it carefully Kalaira's eyes nearly bugged out of her head, 'What are these girls thinking!?'
Running as quickly and quietly as she could Kalaira headed to the Head Masters office. At the hidden door she pounded on Merlin's frame to wake him from his slumber. As she banged Kalaira tucked the note into the crevass of the door and yelled at the old Wizard in the frame, "Wake the Head Master! Tell him there is a note waiting for him. His assistance may be needed."
With that Kalaira turned and bolted back down the hall heading for the main doors. She found that they had indeed already been opened this evening and pulled on them enough to allow herself out. Running quickly Kalaira followed the path down towards the forest, the one place she swore she'd never enter again. But Tia needed her, and Miley, whom Kalaira didn't know too well, and god only knows who else was involved. The younger generation seemed even more reckless then she had ever been though her current actions would belay that point.
As she got closer to the forest Kalaira slowed her step and focused on slowing her breath so to approach with maximum silence. Focusing on her cat like grace and agility Kalaira slowly moved forward using her unnatural ability to stealth from shadow to shadow, positioning herself so that she could witness what mess was in progress.
What startled Kalaira was hearing her friend Miranda's voice as well and she had to stifle a groan as she realized how bad this situation may really be, "Hello Girls....Tarik-Ari." The last name Miranda had said in her shaky little voice was kind of a surprise; 'Isn't that the new runes professor?' Kalaira thought to herself, 'This is indeed a very strange evening.'
Not knowing what to do or say in this situation Kalaira decided it was best to sit back and watch. She didn't want to reveal herself or her trump card too soon. Kalaira knew she was no match for a teacher but would help these girls fight if the situation called for it. No one knew she was here, or was even invited except for Tia, and Kalaira assumed that Tia wasn't actually expecting her to show. The Runes Professor had no clue that she was even aquainted with these girls, not many Professors did, so he had no reason to suspect her here. Kalaira just hoped that things would stay calm long enough for the Head Master to show up and hopefully put an end to this mayham.
Tarik Sadiki
Tarik-Ari looked at his young cousin Miley as the realization of what he had said dawned on her. 'Didn't Lisa even talk to her about the possiblity that my dear third cousin Leo was dead?' ,Tarik thought then realized that it had been a shock for Leo's wife Lisa too. Worried about how the news was affecting his young cousin's health; he said, "Miley dear sit down please. All your questions will be answered shortly." Tarik was waiting for at least one more to show up. 'I hate repeating myself.',thought a nervous Tarik wondering if the young Tia had even told his sweet niece Miranda about this.
Looking at the young Tia worriedly, he thought, 'She worries me most of all. Her heart seems so closed off. So much the leader but unwilling to ask for the help she really needs.' He had thought when Professor Wise had caught her earlier that Tia would at least trust the professor with the information. Looking around Tarik-Ari noticed that none of these young ones seem to think of notify a professor. Thinking sadly, 'Yes, so many issues at this school. Trust being one of them.'
"Soon Miley. I will answer your questions soon about your father Leo and how I know him." ,Tarik-Ari said knowing this was something that both Miley and Miranda needed to hear together. 'Then hopefully they will leave the hunt for their fathers' killer to me.' ,thought a very worried Tarik, 'If they keep hunting? My brother will start hunting them.' Tarik remembered back to the first time his father had told him that his brother Khalid was most likely responsible for his grandfather's death. Tarik had only been a baby when the attack on the clan had happened. His father had waited until Tarik was finished at the Eygptian school of Magic before telling about Khalid. Then about fourteen years ago, Tarik had met his third cousin Leo Potter at the wedding of his baby sister and Leo's partner Dawson. The three had fast became friends. Tarik guessed that it was that bond that had gotten the two Aurors to look into the attack. 'Only two years and they were both dead as was my sweet sister.' ,Tarik thought sadly as he still only had his gut feeling that his half-brother Khalid was responsible.
Tarik could see that Tia was nervous as she was still playing with her medallion as she got up. She also was not at all happy about him saying something about it to her. 'Why had she ran in the first place earlier today?',]/i]Tarik thought as he realized that if Professor Wise had not followed her, Tia Andreas would have been long gone from Hogwarts by now. 'But why? Her running away was a major problem. Dahana would know the minute she left Hogwarts. No I will have to keep a very close eye on her. She is way to reactless for her own good.' ,Tarik thought knowing that he had his work cut out for him with these young ones and that included the young Ryan in the tree.
Thinking about how to insure that Tia would not run anytime soon. He said, "It was as smart as you trying to leave Hogwarts earlier today." 'That should get Jayce's attention as to what is going on with her young cousin. Tia is like a scary rabbit. Two things happen when a rabbit's scaried, one it will become as stiff as a board or two it will bolt.', Tarik thought knowing that neither would do her or her friends any good.
"Hello Jayce. Please take off the mask as it only helps hide you when you don't talk." ,Tarik said half proud of these young ones and half scared for them. He had a lot to teach them and they hadn't all showed up.
Tarik had a feeling that Jayce and Tia was probably going to have a very long talk after this meeting. Jayce was stand very close to Tia. 'She is very protective of Tia but if Tia doesn't trust her friends with her fears; how can we ever stop the attacks.' ,Tarik thought hoping that if Tia told anybody about what she was feeling it would be Jayce.
'Now she realizes who I am.' ,Tarik thought as he looked around and saw a figure approach in the tree line.
Looking at his young cousin Miley he said with a warm smile, "I should know Leo. He is my third cousin after all."
,
Tarik thought as he realized that he had worried about her. 'What I have to tell her and Miley is going to set their path.' Looking at Mir as he said,"Hello Miranda . Sit down please niece. We have a lot to discuss and very little time to do it." As soon as they were all sitting down, he would insure that Ryan and any other person not visible would not know about what he told them. Tarik knew that there was at least one more out there as he had heard a groan. 'Is it a friend or somebody working for Dahana? I can't take the chance. It is hard to do a full barrier over a large group but Dahana can never know my connection to these children.' ,Tarik thought hoping that if the person was a friend to the children then she or he would come out as they were sitting down.
(occ: I have permission to mention Ryan being in the tree. Tia is one of my other characters so I posted her action in here as well.)
Lily Shay
Lily hurriedly walked through Hogwarts to get to the Forbidden Forest. She wanted to be there for her best friend. She had to be there to at least comfort Miley if she found something shocking. This world to her is already getting used to her. She wondered what Miley's dad looked like before he disappeared. Of course he would've looked like Miley but with the eyes and Miley mostly looked like her mum. She also wondered about this mysterious note and wondered if it was just a prank by older and meaner Slytherins in her house. If it was well then that wouldn't be too good for her house. She would risk anything for her best friend. Miley was like the sister she's always wanted. She knew that Miley probably felt the same way together. As she arrived at the Forbidden Forest she saw Tia there along with Miranda and Jayce. She finally caught up to them.
"Hi Miley, Tia, Miranda, Jayce." Lily said looking at them. Then she looked around and saw...their Ancient Runes Professor? What's he doing here? Are they going to get caught? Did he sent the note?
"Hello Tarik." Lily said looking at him. If he did sent the note. Then he had got a lot of explaining to do on why they had to wake up so late and sneak out at night. It could cost Ravenclaw and Slytherin house points if another teacher caught them.
Miley Potter
Miley looked up at the newcomer and noticed that it was Lily! She finally made it! She was worried if she was even going to come or not.
"Lily thank Merlin you're here. I was beginning to think you weren't going to come." Miley said happily. "Sorry Tarik I just wanted her to be here she was my first friend." Miley added apologetically.
When Tarik talked to Miranda she thought she had heard the word niece could it be that related? Well whatever the reason is she was going to find out eventually. Even if it could be a trick.
Now Miley was utterly confused...third cousin? Does that mean that Tarik is somehow possibly related to her? Well she will have to find out eventually. But she really couldn't wait any longer....she had to know now. By any means necessary.
"Now what do you know about my father?" Miley asked him. "And what's this got to do with all of us?"
Miranda Dawson
Miranda’s mouth fell open as Tarik-Ari addressed her as his niece. It was strange to be addressed as a person’s family member. It was a foreign concept for her to grasp. Sure, he friend’s families were pretty accepting of her and already viewed her as part of their family, but it was still very strange to be addressed thus a family member. Realizing that her mouth was probably opening and closing like a gaping fish, Miranda put her hand in her pocket where her mother’s locket was. She traced the engraved name ‘C’ with her fingers over and over again to calm her nervous and confused nerves. Not only did she still not know what was going to happen, but she’s afraid the information she would get would send her into a frenzy. Once the information was let out to her, she would have to look further into it. And it scared her because it was what kept her away from her friends in the first place with Will and Ronnie and she didn’t want to go back into that frenzy.
Miranda sighed and was about to withdraw her hand from her coat pocket when she heard a voice she’s heard before, but just couldn’t place it. Turning around to look at where the voice had came from, she wanted to groan when she saw Lily Shay. Miley’s first friend before Tia. It wasn’t that Miranda had a problem with Lily it was just the fact that she was a first year and out in the dangerous Forbidden Forest that made her want to groan. Not to mention how unsafe it was these days for anyone to even be in the forest at night. To say she was a little disappointed in Miley would be an understatement. Miley should know to never bring friends into personal matters unless it involves them. Miranda learned that when she was adopted and vowed to never let anyone in unless she could trust them. So far, Charlie, William, Jayce, and Tia have made good on their promise to not tell anyone a thing on how she was abused and neglected by her foster parents.
Miranda was so focused on trying to tell Lily to go back up to the school with her eyes, that she almost missed Miley speak her mind. Knowing that it was no use willing Lily back up to the school, she focused her eyes and her mind on Tarik-Ari whom looked so calm and collected. Like he had been prepared for this meeting for a while now. Though she couldn’t be sure.
Clearing her throat to let herself be known, Miranda said in a quiet voice but loud enough for everyone to hear, “Why do we have to have this conversation in the middle of the night? Why couldn’t this wait till daylight? I can understand our destination but why, for goodness sakes, in the middle of the night?”
Miley Potter
Miley knew what Miranda was thinking as soon as Lily arrived. Miley looked over at Miranda and sighed. "Miranda I asked her to be here. I trust her and I know she wouldn't tell a soul about this whole thing." Miley said looking at her. "We've known each other for years and well I trust her with this."
"I kinda agree with Miranda on this though. Why the middle of the night Tarik? Is this really so important that this have be in the middle of the night and not ask us to see us after class in the morning?" Miley asked a bit confused. What information did he have on her father. Was he lying or not? Who killed her father? And could the killer come after her and her mother? If so then she would do everything she can in order to protect herself and her family. Even if it kills her in the process.
Tarik Sadiki
Tarik waited for them to all to have sat down. 'Now how to begin', Tarik thought as he did the non-verbal spell for a shield. Looking at the children he began,"First, Yes Miley;I said that Leo was dead. He was murdered in fact while he was coming to see me. Him and his partner. Though they die at different times, I believe it was done by the same man." Tarik had to stop as the telling was hard for him.
Looking from Miley to Miranda and finally to Tia's medallion, he continued, "Leo Potter was my third cousin. I saw him for the first time at my baby sister's wedding. It seemed that my cousin was partners with my future brother in-law Dawson. We became fast friends and they had decided that they were going to help me find out who had attacked my clan and killed my grandfather when I was a baby. Right before their disappearances, Leo had sent me a message that stated they had in fact found proof and he was bring it to me. He never showed, nor did Dawson. I know Leo was eager to see your birth, Miley as was Dawson to get back to see his baby girl, my niece and god-daughter Miranda. Soon after that I lost track of you both."
Now came the hard part, trying to get the Allies to stop looking into this and leaving it to him.
Looking at all the young ones there he said with tears in his eyes, "I know they would never disappear like this. They are died and I promise that I will find the man that did it." Stopping for a moment to wipe his eyes, he thought,'As soon as I find the proof that Leo had against my half-brother Khalid; I will become the hunter and he will pay.'
"I need you to promise me that you guys will leave this to me. I will protect you guys as much as I can. You can even meet in my office for AFA meetings but you can't go looking for this guy, Promise Me. I will try to teach you guys in secret what it means to be Medjai." As he finished he looked at Tia's medallion. 'I will have to get a closer look at that medallion.' ,Tarik thought.
Miley Potter
Miley was shocked at this. So her father was dead this whole time? Not only was he dead...but he was murdered. She couldn't believe this. She was going to find this man and bring him to justice.
She couldn't believe with all of this information. So not only is she related to Tarik but she's related to Miranda. This had to be something that she had to get used to. Miley's mind was full of questions. Who was the murderer? Why did he have to die? Could the man that had killed her father come after her? She had wanted answers about her father and now they were here. She wasn't sure how she was feeling about all this new information.
Now this was something that Miley was interested in. A Medjai seemed to be really interesting even more interesting than being an auror. Miley looked at Tarik.
"I promise." Miley said to Tarik. She hoped Tarik would find out where that man is and soon.

" Miley stop. We are not going in there." ,Tia started a little loudly. Quietly her voice she continued,
Miley jumped a bit turned around and saw Tia standing right behind her.
"Sorry Tia..I was just a little nervous. I was afraid that since I got the note...it lead me into nothing. And I didn't want that to happen" Miley said to her honestly. Which was the truth...she was excited that she was finally going to learn something about her past...and that was her father!
"At least not without backup. Sorry but I had to leave the others a message. Hopefully they are on their way. Like Veronica said we are better together as a group."
"Um Tia...how many people are coming?" Miley asked she sure hoped that it wasn't all of the allies. And only her closest friends like Jayce, Miranda, Chris, and Lily.
Miley then looked at Tia oddly. Something happened to her. Someone...or something hit her with a non verbal spell. "Tia? Are you okay?" Miley asked worriedly about her friend.
"I thought I made my note clear Ms.Potter. I believe I said Tell No One. Did I Not?", Tarik-Ari said sternly.
"Um Tia...how many people are coming?"
"Tia? Are you okay?"
"I thought I made my note clear Ms.Potter. I believe I said Tell No One. Did I Not?" That voice.... Jayce knew that she knew the voice, though it took her a second. Tarik-Ari. What was he doing here, and what had he done to her cousin? Jayce's hand clenched around her wand, as she squashed the urge to reveal herself.
"I'm sorry. But I trust her. She's my friend." A pause. Jayce hadn't even known she had slipped on the white mask, until her hand was coming away from her face. The cool porcelain was a familiar, comforting weight. They would get through this, one way or another. Moving slowly, Jayce drew her wand from her pocket.
"What did you do to Tia? Please? Only a few people are coming...Not only I trust Tia with this information. But my other very close friends should know about this to. Please? We won't tell a sole of what we find out."

"Tia? Are you okay?"
"I'm sorry. But I trust her. She's my friend."
Jayce hadn't even known she had slipped on the white mask, until her hand was coming away from her face. The cool porcelain was a familiar, comforting weight. They would get through this, one way or another. Moving slowly, Jayce drew her wand from her pocket.
Seeing the white mask out of the corner of his eyes, he thought, 'Yes, Jayce. Good, now what are you going to do?' At that moment he did the non-verbal spell for a full barrier.
"What did you do to Tia? Please? Only a few people are coming...Not only I trust Tia with this information. But my other very close friends should know about this to. Please? We won't tell a sole of what we find out."
Jayce cautiously peaked her head around the stone, the cloak shadowing the white of the mask. Her wand aimed at her cousin, as Jayce could tell the spell by the stiffness.
"Miley, Do not be sorry. But if I had been the one that killed Leo, you both would have been dead.", Tarik-Ari started wondering if his young cousin had even once thought that this meet could be a trap. " Miley, you Allies still for the most part have a lot to learn. Why should I risk war to help you when you can't even work together?"
Looking at Tia he said calmly, "Tia you can get up now and stop messing with that medallion. That was not a smart move."
Looking over at the rock Tarik-Ari said, "Jayce, you can come out now or do I need to remove the rock from your view?"
Looking over at the rock Tarik-Ari said, "Jayce, you can come out now or do I need to remove the rock from your view?"
"Good evening, Tarik-Ari." Her voice was muffled and deepened slightly by the obstruction of the mask, but it was still recognizable as Jayce's.
Looking at Tia he said calmly, "Tia you can get up now and stop messing with that medallion. That was not a smart move."
Looking over at the rock Tarik-Ari said, "Jayce, you can come out now or do I need to remove the rock
from your view?"
"Good evening, Tarik-Ari." Her voice was muffled and deepened slightly by the obstruction of the mask, but it was still recognizable as Jayce's.
Miley jumped a bit when she heard another voice come into the area. She turned around and saw Jayce standing right next to Tia. "Gosh Jayce you scared me a bit." Miley said looking at Jayce.

Miley jumped a bit when she heard another voice come into the area. She turned around and saw Jayce standing right next to Tia. "Gosh Jayce you scared me a bit." Miley said looking at Jayce.

Miley's eyes widened at this. "I don't believe I said my father's name was Leo." Miley then also realized something.
Miley looked up at the person. "I'm sorry. I don't know if I heard you correctly....d-did you say killed? Is my father d-dead?" Miley asked
Looking at Tia he said calmly, "Tia you can get up now and stop messing with that medallion. That was not a smart move."
Looking over at the rock Tarik-Ari said, "Jayce, you can come out now or do I need to remove the rock from your view?"
'Yes, Jayce was the smart one to a point.' ,Tarik thought as he watched her come out but he had hoped that she would call his bluff as he had until then known for sure whether it was Jayce or one of the others.
"Good evening, Tarik-Ari." Her voice was muffled and deepened slightly by the obstruction of the mask, but it was still recognizable as Jayce's.

"Hello Jayce. Please take off the mask as it only helps hide you when you don't talk." ,Tarik said half proud of these young ones and half scared for them. He had a lot to teach them and they hadn't all showed up.
Miley jumped a bit when she heard another voice come into the area. She turned around and saw Jayce standing right next to Tia. "Gosh Jayce you scared me a bit." Miley said looking at Jayce.
She then came into another realization.
Miley swallowed her throat. "Tarik? Is that you? How do you know my dad?" Miley asked confused looking out in the woods.

'Now she realizes who I am.' ,Tarik thought as he looked around and saw a figure approach in the tree line.
Looking at his young cousin Miley he said with a warm smile, "I should know Leo. He is my third cousin after all."
What startled Kalaira was hearing her friend Miranda's voice as well and she had to stifle a groan as she realized how bad this situation may really be, "Hello Girls....Tarik-Ari."
'Finally, Miranda was here.'
'Finally, Miranda was here.'

Looking at Mir as he said,"Hello Miranda . Sit down please niece. We have a lot to discuss and very little time to do it."
When Tarik talked to Miranda she thought she had heard the word niece could it be that related? Well whatever the reason is she was going to find out eventually. Even if it could be a trick.
Looking at his young cousin Miley he said with a warm smile, "I should know Leo. He is my third cousin after all."
Looking at Mir as he said,"Hello Miranda . Sit down please niece. We have a lot to discuss and very little time to do it."
"Hi Miley, Tia, Miranda, Jayce." Lily said looking at them.
"Now what do you know about my father?" Miley asked him. "And what's this got to do with all of us?"

"First, Yes Miley;I said that Leo was dead. He was murdered in fact while he was coming to see me. Him and his partner. Though they die at different times, I believe it was done by the same man." Tarik had to stop as the telling was hard for him.
Miley was shocked at this. So her father was dead this whole time? Not only was he dead...but he was murdered. She couldn't believe this. She was going to find this man and bring him to justice.
"Leo Potter was my third cousin. I saw him for the first time at my baby sister's wedding. It seemed that my cousin was partners with my future brother in-law Dawson. We became fast friends and they had decided that they were going to help me find out who had attacked my clan and killed my grandfather when I was a baby. I know Leo was eager to see your birth, Miley as was Dawson to get back to see his baby girl, my niece and god-daughter Miranda. Soon after that I lost track of you both."
"I need you to promise me that you guys will leave this to me. I will protect you guys as much as I can. You can even meet in my office for AFA meetings but you can't go looking for this guy, Promise Me. I will try to teach you guys in secret what it means to be Medjai."
Now this was something that Miley was interested in. A Medjai seemed to be really interesting even more interesting than being an auror. Miley looked at Tarik.
"I promise." Miley said to Tarik. She hoped Tarik would find out where that man is and soon.
