Luke’s Fright
(OOC: Follows Hogsmeade > Shrieking Shack >Tightening a Pup's Leach)
(OOC: A combined copy of threads from the previous site)
LANCE
Lance had been reading a file and walking around the Hospital Wing when he heard the pop of someone apperating in. His eyes went first to where the Auror normally stood. Lance did not like the necessity of keeping one of the lawmen in the main dorm of the wing, but with all the things which had been happening to Tia and the other students he had agreed with Sasha McChey, the Headmistress, to allow one maybe even two men there. The man was headed to the three who had just entered. Lance put down the file on the nearest bed and headed the same way.
Darik, Luke and Liam were on the floor close together. Liam was sitting with his knees pulled up in front of him and his arms wrapped around them. The fear in the boys face was obvious. Darik was crouched down beside Luke, who was breathing hard and was in obvious pain also. Lance told the guard to help him get the young men into bed. The guard untangled Liam, who was holding his body closed tight, but was not strong enough for the guard. Lance also heard the guard talking gently to the boy, assuring him everything was going to be alright, that he was safe.
Lance squatted down and started helping Luke up. The boy grabbed his white coat collar and whispered over and over. "I need the medicine, please... I need the medicine, please." Lance looked at Darik who shrugged. Then whispering to the boy, "I don't know what meds you are talking about Luke, but let's get you into bed and then I will find out and give you what you need, Ok?"
DARIK
Darik held on to the two boys until he was sure they were in the Hospital Dorm at the school. He let Liam go first because the boy was still sitting closed up hugging his knees. He also saw out of the corner of his eye that the Auror who stood just inside the Dorm door was headed in their direction. That would mean there was one outside the door also. Darik could not let go of Luke. He was shaking badly. Placing two fingers next to his temple he tried to reach into the boys mind and help him settle, but something else was keeping him agitated.
When Master Lance arrived and Luke grabbed his jacket and pleaded for medicine, Darik looked at Master Lance to see if he knew what the boy was asking for. But the doctor had no clue, by the look on his face. Darik shook his head slowly, he was hoping whoever had been in the shack with Luke had not given the boy anything. There were some nasty drugs out there the Dark Wizarding world did not hesitate to use on anyone.
The Auror had Liam, even though the boy was fighting being moved. Liam was frightened and was thinking anyone who tried to help him was going to do harm to him. Darik reached out and placed two fingers beside Liam's temple, pressed slightly and the boy settled and allowed the man to uncoil him and half carry him to one of the beds. Darik helped Master Lance get Luke to his feet and they moved him to a bed beside Liam. "Master Luke you need to settle down or the doctor is going to have to tie you in the bed. Please Master Luke calm yourself."
LUKE/LIAM
Luke's body shook, even as he was being carried to a bed. He had to get Lance to understand that he needed medicine, he wasn't sure what medicines, and that scared him, but he needed them anyway. He just kept repeating over and over, "It is the only way to get rid of the pain." He tried hard to remember how he got the meds and what they were. It was all blank only the extreme pain was there.
Liam was watching the Ravenclaw. He shook his head now understanding his uncle's insurance that Luke would come to him. Liam wondered if Luke might be wishing he just gave in. He had hoped the boy could show a way out but Liam now knew the boy would do anything once he learned what Liam already knew where he could get relief. Especially since in Liam's mind only the Clan has the drug that Luke is now hooked on. He wanted to help as Luke seemed the only one so far to not become his uncle’s pet. He shook his head remembering the pain his uncle would inflict should he say anything.
Luke was scared as he tried to get free. “I need to find it. Please I am fine. I will have the Core help me.” He had no idea what meds he was looking for but he knew he would have to find them.
Liam had to get away as his uncle would want him not even thinking of helping the boy. His mind reminded him of all his other lessons. He could not even bring Luke to his uncle or grandfather until uncle called for him. Liam felt sorry for Luke as he was sure the boy's defiance was going to cost the Ravenclaw. There were too many people around at the moment and the Auror had a tight hold on him. He also knew the man was going to be watching him, so he settled onto the soft bed and tried to relax. His Uncle would believe him for a little while he couldn't get away. Besides he would just tell his Uncle he had stayed to see if he could find out more information. Liam felt actually safe where he was and he was going to take advantage of it as long as possible.
(OOC: Liam is an admin character and Luke is mine.)
LANCE
Lance got Luke onto the bed and pulled out his wand. He glanced at Liam who was in the next bed. The boy was lying peaceably in the next bed. Lance smiled at him and then at the Auror who had decided to stay close, probably because of the way the three had arrived. Normally appareling into the Hospital Dorm was blocked by other elves. They had only gotten through because Darik had been the one to begin the travel.
Lance turned back to Luke and did a scan of the boy's body. His blood pressure was up, he had a fine sheen of sweet on his face, his skin was a bit clammy and he was breathing hard. Lance pointed the wand at the writing tablet next to the bed and just stared at the toxicology report. He hadn't seen that drug in quite a while. Only two other people had had it in their blood was Neo Spellman and Frank Cole. It had been given to them when they had been under control of the MacIntosh Clan, a clan of werewolves. Both men had been able to fight the drug and were now free of its ability to control them. Lance sent a message off to Marco to come. He sent the information to Frank Cole but the man would not come to the school. Lance would just have to keep him up to date and visit the man's island of Isle of Perdition as soon as he could. There was an antidote but it would be rough on the boy's body. The antidote caused almost as much pain as the original drug but within twenty four hours or so, Luke should be fine. Lance walked to the locked cabinet near the door to his office, unlocked it and took out a syringe and a small blue bottle. Walking back he filled the needle and firmly took Luke's arm in his hand. He administered the liquid into the vain in the crook of Luke's arm, rubbed the spot hard to distribute the meds quicker and stood back up. Luke looked terrified. "It's going to be fine Luke. That should help. Stay still and let's see how you feel in a few moments."
Lance walked over to where Liam lay and started a scan. The boy cringed and would have gotten up out of the bed, to run if the Auror had not anticipated his movement and was now holding him down. Doing a scan and then pointing the wand at the tablet again. Lance tried not to cringe or show any facial expressions as the print out appeared. The boy's blood pressure was high, although not as high as Luke's had been. He also had multiple scares over his back and the backs of his thighs. His arm had been broken at least twice. He also had some sort of scarring on the bottom of his feet. Lance sat on the edge of the bed and put his hand on the boy's arm. "You are going to be fine Liam. You are safe here, you know that. Relax and we will keep you safe. In a little while we will talk."
Just then Marco Spellman walked into the room, followed by Star, who ran straight to Luke and sat on the edge of his bed. The girl took her boyfriends hand and tears started to trail down the side of her face. Martin Kildare, Lance's father and a respected Auror entered moments later.
MARTIN
Martin had seen Star and Marco walk into the Hospital Dorm. He had been called immediately when intruders showed up, finding out the three were Darik, Luke and Liam. The boys were apparently hurt or ill. Martin was seconding for Brennan who was checking out some information for Sasha. As he walked in he found Luke and Liam in bed, Star sitting on the side of Luke's bed, Lance standing between the two boys. Marco was standing off to the side, waiting for Lance to finish his exam.
"Someone want to bring me up to speed here?" Martin asked as he looked around the room.
Lance looked up. "The boys are physically alright although they have been frightened badly." Lance was not going to mention Liam's injuries, because they were from the past and he wanted to talk with the boy before he brought them up to anyone else. "Luke also seems to be under the influence of a drug." Lance looked at Marco as he added, "the same one that Neo and Fixer were given." Looking back at Martin he finished, "I have started the antidote but there will be some psychological residue." Glancing at Luke and then back to Martin he said, "I know where I want to send him, but I will have to get Brennan's permission." Brennan was Luke's legal gardian at the moment. Lance wanted to send Luke to Frank Cole, because the man would know how to fight the mental need for the drug.
Martin nodded. "I agree. I will contact Brennan and get his permission." Looking at Darik he asked, "What can you tell me my friend?"
Darik looked up from the head of Luke's bed and replied. "I was told by a certain little bird," he glanced at Starling, "that Luke might be in trouble at the Shrieking Shack. When I finally made it down the tunnel for the tree to the kitchen area I found Luke and Liam there. I know there was someone else there just before I arrived, but the person was able to apparate out. I don't know who it was. Didn't recognize the voice."
Star had smiled at Darik when he mentioned her name. It was the only time she took her eyes off of Luke. About an hour earlier she had felt in her mind that Luke needed her to come to the Shrieking Shack. She had made it to the entrance and then heard Luke tell her to run and get help. She ran into Darik first so she had told him what she had felt. The elf had taken off at a run, only taking time to tell her to go to the school and find Marco, who she was an assistant to and who would protect her. He had promised he would bring Luke back. About fifteen minutes ago, Marco had gotten a message that Luke was in the infirmary. She would have run, but Marco made her walk so that attention would not be drawn to the fact they were hurrying to the Hospital Wing. Star now sat on the side of the bed, her fingers entwined with Luke's. He looked so pale and she could tell he was in pain, but his eyes were pinned to hers and there was a slight smile on his face as he had a death grip on her hand.
Martin shook his head. Looking between Liam and Luke he said, "Alright boys your turn. Tell me what you can."
(OOC: Lance, Star, and Darik are my characters. I have permission to say what Martin did.)
MARCO
Liam just shook his head and pressed his lips together. Luke glanced at him and then said, "I am fine. I have a class to get to!" He started to sit up, but Star gently pushed him back down. He wouldn't fight his Star, but he knew he had to stay away from her to protect her. It would help if he knew why he had to stay away but he had no clue from what. He realized it was later in the day, from when he had left the school to follow Liam, but his mind was a blank on what had taken place in the missing time.
Liam hunkered down in the bed. He knew if he said anything, he and more importantly his roommate Ellery would pay the price. Liam had not been able to convince Ellery to help him, but he knew his Uncle was adamant about bringing the young man to the Dark Wizard world and might try to force his friend, one of the few friends he had. He looked at Luke and prayed these wizards could keep him and Ellery away from his uncle. He looked towards Star and lowered his eyes as he whispered, "I did not want you Star. Luke should not have followed. Your father will not hear about this I promise. I ...."
Marco went over to the other side of Luke's bed from where Star was sitting. "Martin get your permission when you can. I will take full responsibility, but these boys are far from fine. They go to Cole's island now!" Marco had understood the hint and remembered Neo's being controlled and had no intention of failing Luke as he had Neo. Brennan might put up a fuss but the boys needed the expertise of Frank Cole. The man was a genius when it came to fighting brain washing and even drugs. Probably because he had experienced just about anything the Dark Wizards could throw at others.
He looked at Lance as he said, "Let Tank know me and the boys are on our way, Lance." He prayed they would not waste time by arguing. Tank was the bartender and owner of bar in Hogsmeade. He had a direct line to Fixer. No one got onto Cole's island without a direct ok from the man and Tank would be able to get that permission quicker than most others. It would mean taking the boy's into Hogsmeade, but with Darik and Martin along protecting them should not be a problem.
(OOC: Luke, Liam, Brennan and Marco are my characters. I have permission to say what Lance did and thought.)
LANCE
Lance had watched the boy's reactions to what Marco had said. He was not sure if Liam had ever been to Cole's Isle of Perdition or even knew if it existed. It would be up to Cole if he wanted the boy there, but if possible the boy needed the strong support the mercenary could give to him. Liam might be able to learn something and hopefully whatever was scaring the child to death, would be able to be taken care of. Cole's nickname was Fixer and it was apply applied for the man's abilities. The short and sweet of it was he fixed problems.
Luke would know where he was going. Luke used to trust Cole but Lance knew he didn't have that trust at the moment. The best man to get him off the drugs and supply the immotional support the boy was going to need was Cole, because of his own personal experience. Lance looked at Star and Luke as they interacted. Star's father had refused to let Luke date Star, at least until the end of the year. The man was afraid Star was giving her heart too easily and her father wanted her to date others. He had given them permission to be together if someone older than 35 years was in the same room, but had not given his permission for them to touch in anyway. Marco had come up with an idea so they could touch. He had given each of them a piece of parchment paper and made it clear he was running an experiment on how emotions affected the parchment and ink. They were only supposed to be able to touch in Marco or Tarik's presence though. Star was not going with Luke so there should not be too much of a problem, except for the fact, they would not see each other at all for days. It was going to be hard on the young love, but they would do fine. He had to believe that.
"Star, say goodbye to Luke please and then return to where ever it is you are supposed to be at the moment. Luke will be going to the Isle of Perdition where he can get help."
Star laid her head on Luke's chest, and said, "No, I want to go.... I have to go .... he is in pain .... Frank will understand I know he will ... please .... I have to go..." Her tears were flowing but she couldn't stop them. This would mean they would really be apart. She would not know what was happening to her Luke.
Lance walked around to the otherside of the bed and put his hand on the back of Star's head and rubbed her hair gently. "No Star you cannot go... you know that... if Cole is alright with you being there I will talk to Headmistress Sasha and see if I can get you permission. Now be a good girl and say good bye and leave or I will have to have you forceably taken away."
Star looked at Lance and lifted her head. Bending down again she lightly kissed Luke's lips and whispered in his ear. "I will come to you as soon as I can. I know how. Be safe until I get there." She got up off the bed and looked toward Liam. "I found out later the reason you kissed me was to cause problems for my Luke. I was mad but now I am not, because you lost out not me. Then she slowly walked out of the room, looking back over her shoulder only once.
Darik had heard what Mistress Star said and he knew he would have to watch her. If the girl wanted to go bad enough she would find a way. His only hope was that he could protect her until she was on the island. Once there, Master Frank would protect her. Now his job was to help get Master Luke and Master Liam to the island. He stood waiting for orders.
Lance walked to the clothes closet and pulled out a complete set of clothes for both Liam and Luke then walked back and put the separate stacks on the bed. "Get dressed both of you. You have no choice in this so do not fight it."
LUKE
Luke's heart was breaking but as long as his Star was safe he would say or do what he had to. He the added a stern look to his features and tried to match his voice to it, hoping it wouldn't crack from the lump in his throat. "Don't bother! I am leaving the Core! When I talk with your father I will admit that I broke his rules." He knew he was breaking her heart but it was to save her. The look on her face almost did him in. He just stared at her wanting her to understand. Maybe someday they could get back together.
Liam sadly shook his head. The boy was breaking up with Star so Uncle Damir could not hurt her just to get to Luke. He prayed that Star did not buy his act for a minute. Liam had seen firsthand how much Star meant to Luke. "He feels that somebody is coming for him. Luke wants Star nowhere near when that person shows." Liam wished he could tell them that the Clan wanted her either way. Liam knew she was going to be grandpa's hostage but who besides Luke, the Clan planned on controlling Liam had no clue.
Marco shook his head as he said, "You have not broken any rules Luke. Have they Darik? Lance? Martin? Though I do agree that at the moment her going to the island is a bad idea." He sensed that Luke thought his relationship with Star put her at risk. He would let Fixer handle the terrors in Luke's mind. He looked at Martin and Darik hoping that both had caught Luke's fear and need to protect not only Star but the Core as well. Luke had just unknowing asked for added protection.
Liam shook his head. He picked up the clothes the Doctor had set on the bottom of the bed and threw the clothes back, "I am not going!" He wanted to go wherever they wanted to send him because he would probably be out of his Uncles reach but the risk was too great. They would make him talk, he just knew it. He was also not chatting with that doctor.
Luke just got up and seemed to give in. "Is there a bathroom? I want to change in private." He planned on using the bathroom to sneak away.
Just then Brennan yanked the door open and purposely strode into the room. "What's going on here?" Darik had sent him a message via, his mind and told him Luke was in the infirmary and hurt. He walked over to where Luke was standing, noticing the boy was not steady on his feet. He had a bundle of clothes in his hand. "Going somewhere Luke?"
Luke just pointed to Lance and shrugged. Maybe Brennan could get him away from here before they sent him to Cole's island.
Marco stepped up and said, "Luke and Liam need to go to Cole's island. Luke had been given the same drug as Neo and Cole were given and he needs to be treated by someone who has been through the same withdrawal. You know as well as we do the withdrawal doesn't end with getting free of the drugs. This needs to happen Brennan."
Brennan turned to Lance and raised his eyebrows. The doctor knew he didn't trust Frank Cole and now he was willing to send Luke to an island where he would virtually be on lockdown and no one would be able to get to him unless Cole said they could. At the moment that was not going to happen, unless there was a very good reason.
LANCE
Lance picked the clothes off the floor and threw them back at the young man. "I am giving you a chance to get dresses first, Liam. You have no choice but to go. Even if I have to bind you and send you in the clothes you have on or in no clothes at all you are going. Now get dressed and sit on the edge of the bed. Lance as the boy angerly grabbed the clothes and started shoving his limbs into them. When he was satisfied he would continue he turned to Luke.
Lance shook his head. "Sorry Luke. You will get dresses here. I will offer this though..." Lance walked over to the wall and pulled a screen out. It would block Luke's body from the neck down. "Now please hurry and change. I want you all to the island before...." Lance never got to finish his demand, because Brennan decided to make an entrance. Lance glanced at Darik, who nodded. The elf had sent the Official Head of Security a telepathic message that Luke had been found.
"Good evening Brennan. Luke is on his way out of here to get treatment somewhere else. Treatment I am unable to give to him at the school." Lance tried real hard to say he was not sending the boys to Isle of Perdition. Brennan did not trust Frank Cole, although Lance was sure in his heart Brennan knew Cole would not hurt either one of the boys. Cole might get a little "rough" with adults but most of the techniques he used on the children, and even at fifteen, both Luke and Liam were considered children, was purely psychological.
Martin, who was there to help Brennan get back on even keel at the school after a Caretaker fiasco he was involved in. Brennan was still working on building his confidence back, although he would never admit it, stepped up to beside Brennan ready to grab him if he decided to go after the his son the doctor. He knew Marco and Lance would not send the boys to the island if it was not absolutely necessary. Luke had been there for some safety training and some fun, but neither had been there needing physical and mental help. Cole did not hold any punches when it came to helping those he cared for.
Darik moved to stand near Master Lance. Darik knew all about Master Frank. He knew how the mercenary had to keep his true intentions hidden from most of the mainland wizards. The man was walking a fine line between Dark and Light, trying to make sure the Light won in the end.
"I know the rules Brennan. Three Caretakers must be present in order for the boys to be sent away from the school, since Sasha's lockdown is in place. One must also accompany the boys. Martin, Darik and myself are the three who will ok the trip. You are also a Caretaker, but I don't think I will ask you at the moment. Martin is the senior Caretaker at the moment so he will decide who will accompany the boys."
Lance glanced at Liam, who was sitting on the side of the bed, ramrod straight and staring straight ahead, his eyes unfocused. Luke had not even started to change yet. "The same goes for you Luke. You can travel in the clothes you have on or you can change. You have five minutes to decide."
(OOC: Lance, Darik and Martin are my characters. I have been given permission to say what Liam does and says.)
BRENNAN
Brennan shook his head. He knew most of The Caretakers including himself did not trust Fixer. His inner voice on the other hand trusted Fixer. “And they wonder why I double check all my decisions with Martin? If I cannot even trust what I feel about Cole?”, Bren wondered if he would ever trust that he was no longer Zia’s puppet. He looked at his friends and wondered if they had already voted and over ruled Headmistress Sasha’s lock down, “Then why did Darik notify me? He knew I would vote no. So why?” He looked at Martin.
"Why did Martin request Darik to have me here?” Brennan said puzzled. Then he shook his head more determined as the reason was in Lance’s words. Martin picked the Caretaker that went with the boys. “No! I am not going anywhere near that man.” He turned to Lance as he said angry but unsure why, “Lance, Darik must have reasoned that Martin would choose me. I already betrayed Tarik to him. Martin is more qualified to protect the boys. I know I can’t over ride you but I can and will inform Air.” Arianna as the leader and founder of the Caretakers was the only one that might stop this nonsense.
He made a final plea with his friends, “Did you guys even think that Fixer could be being played for a fool? He held both Tarik and more importantly Sasha. He has threatened Tarik to get the translations from Star. He set up a meeting between Sasha and Linthux. And now you want to place Luke and Liam at his mercy? No!” Brennan turned towards the door, determined to leave and go to tell Arianna what was happening. He never made it to the door as he heard Marco say, “Sorry Bren but I failed to protect my team, my brother. The Clan needs to be stopped and Captain is the best.”
Marco turned to Martin, “So you have a note for me to give Tank?”
MARTIN
Martin watched as Darik extended his hand, spread his fingers and closed his eyes. Brannan stopped in his tracks, was levitated off the floor and returned to the spot he originally stood in before he tried to leave. Brennan tried to move, but his feet were firmly planted on the floor.
Martin shook his head to Marco's question. "Brennan will be taking a note to Tank" Tank was the bartender and owner of The Hog's Head in Hogsmeade. He wasn't a Caretaker, but he was trusted by them and he was one of the few people who could get in touch with Frank Cole at any time. He would be handling the transport to the island. Cole might decide to use a Portkey, but he would rather use the portable cabinet, Tank had hidden away. "Brennan, I am sorry but you have no choice in this. You will be sent there one way or another. Now when you get there if you refuse to try and be a companion to the boys, and discuss with Cole what is happening, that will be totally up to you." Martin knew Brennan would not be able to just go to the island and stay away from helping the boys.
Lance folded his arms across his chest. Liam was still sitting straight. The boys eyes were moving so he was taking in everything. Probably trying to remember what he could so he could report to who ever had started this mess. Oh, yes, boy I know you are a snitch, have known for a long time. Luke never would have been allowed to follow you if we had known he was headed in that direction. Luke was slowly changing his clothes. His eyes showed he was still trying to figure a way out of going to the island. Lance just shook his head. "Darik will you go with everyone please to the Hog's Head and make sure everyone gets off alright. Tell Tank to have a welcoming party present." The boys would try and run, Lance was sure of it. There was no place for them to go, because the island was locked down tight, but Luke was going to need more meds and Lance did not want him running around the island going through withdrawl. "Cole already has some of the treatment drugs on his island so I won't send more unless he requests it."
"Yes, Master Lance. I understand." Darik walked toward the main door and stopped. "I think we will jump there instead of walking. I feel some of the Core outside the door and I don't want to have to explain to them at the moment what is happening." He walked back and stood in front of Master Luke and beckoned Master Liam to come closer. Master Martin and Master Marco could follow on their own, but he did not want to take the chance one of the young ones, would either transport somewhere else by mistake or on purpose."Are you ready, Master Luke and Master Liam?"
Bren said still refusing to agree to this fool's errand, "If you guys were so sure of Fixer's loyalty, then why not have all the Caretakers vote? Or at least allow Air to decide?" He was pretty sure their leader knew nothing about this. Brennan was scared that Fixer would insure both boys were used to force Brennan to betray even more of those he cared about."I am not going and neither are the boys!"
(OOC: I have permission to say what happened to Brennan. This is a combined post by Barbie and Jane, we hope you are enjoying the thread.)
DARIK
Darik reached out and grabbed Master Brennan's hand just as he took them all into the Hog's Head in Hogsmeade. He heard the pop as Master Marco and Master Martin arrived near them. Darik turned and put a magical lock on the door so no one could leave then he turned and bowed slightly to Master Hank. "Master Brennan, Master Luke and Master Liam are to be sent to Master Frank's island. Master Lance has said Master Frank is the only one who can help Master Luke." Darik reached inside his jacket and pulled out the letter to Master Hank from Master Lance. The doctor had decided Master Brennan would not deliver it so he had magically inserted it into Darik's jacket. "Master Lance sent these written instructions." Darik handed the piece of parchment over to the owner and bartender of the Hog's Head, then led the two boys to a nearby table and gently seated them.
He shook his head as he watched Master Brennan do to the door and try and open it. The young Master also tried all the windows. "Master Brennan please come and have a seat while Master Hank sets our visit up."
Darik looked at Master Marco and Master Martin who had gone to the bar and were being served by Master Hank. "On it my small friend. It will only take a moment to get an answer and instructions on arrival." Hank read the letter and then placed it in a slot in the bar. A small light blinked in the slot telling him the letter had just been delivered to the island. Now all he had to do was wait for the reply. As he wiped down the top of the bar, which did not need it, the light blinked in the slot again and a piece of parchment slowly rose out of the slot. Hank retrieved it, read it and handed it to Martin, who was top Caretaker at this little meeting.
(OOC: Hank (Tank) is an admin character.)
MARTIN
Martin took the note, read it and nodded. As he turned to the others he handed the note to Marco. "I have been given permission to send Brennan, Luke and Liam to the Isle of Perdition. If you will all follow me to the back room we will use the cabinet." As the boys stood he looked at them pointedly, "You two will mind your mannors. Luke you know Frank Cole. You might not trust the man but you know he will not hurt you. Liam you have never been to the island before. Frank Cole is a mersenary but he also helps when we need it. His island is locked down tighter than any place I have ever been. Do what you are told and maybe you will learn that not everyone in this world likes hurting children." Liam was shaking but trying to stand tall. Turning to Brennan who stood near the boys he said, "You are going Brennan. I hope you are going on your own and don't have to be forced. The boys will need you there."
Brennan walked up behind the boys and put a hand on each of their shoulders, then nodded. He knew he had no choice, so his best bet was to try and stay as close to the children as possible. Hopefully Fixer would not separate them too soon. Gently he guided the boys to the backroom and the three of them stepped inside the cabinet. After a moment, the cabinet door reopened and there were five guards standing in the room. All were on alert.

LUKE
Star laid her head on Luke's chest, and said, "No, I want to go.... I have to go .... he is in pain .... Frank will understand I know he will ... please .... I have to go..." Her tears were flowing but she couldn't stop them. This would mean they would really be apart. She would not know what was happening to her Luke.
Liam knew she was going to be grandpa's hostage but who besides Luke, the Clan planned on controlling Liam had no clue.
.....Then she (Star) slowly walked out of the room, looking back over her shoulder only once......
Luke had just unknowing asked for added protection.
..... Lance walked to the clothes closet and pulled out a complete set of clothes for both Liam and Luke then walked back and put the separate stacks on the bed. "Get dressed both of you. You have no choice in this so do not fight it."
LANCE
Liam shook his head. He picked up the clothes the Doctor had set on the bottom of the bed and threw the clothes back, "I am not going!"
Luke just got up and seemed to give in. "Is there a bathroom? I want to change in private."
Just then Brennan yanked the door open and purposely strode into the room. "What's going on here?" ... He had a bundle of clothes in his hand. "Going somewhere Luke?"
(Marco) "Luke and Liam need to go to Cole's island. Luke has been given the same drug as Neo and Cole were given and he needs to be treated by someone who has been through the same withdrawal. You know as well as we do the withdrawal doesn't end with getting free of the drugs. This needs to happen Brennan."
Brennan turned to Lance and raised his eyebrows. ...
Brennan turned to Lance and raised his eyebrows. ...
MARTIN
He never made it to the door as he heard Marco say, “Sorry Bren but I failed to protect my team, my brother. The Clan needs to be stopped and Captain is the best.”
