Death knock at the door. (Dempsy, Seth)(The Ministry, Department of Magical Law and Enforcement,
(OOC: Combined Threads from the previous site)
Dempsey McBurr
Much to Dempsey’s surprise he was not seated in the middle of a council. He expected and fully prepared himself to outwit the rapid and magically enhanced trick questions intended to catch him in a lie. No. Just like before, not one finger was pointed in his direction. Narrow eyes, concerned expressions or speculative glares all fell on suspects, situations, and/or special magical weaves intended to unravel Dahana’s means of escape.
Dempsey stared at the strands of magic as they twisted and turned leaving him alone in his mind, romancing his own thoughts. Back when Dempsey was but a young Aurora he could remember the stage. His growing friendship with Denial had lead a young second year Aurora to seek extra employment in case of disaster. Dempsey submitted himself to the stressful training of Britain’s muggle MI6. Even now Dempsey or 004, reported on and removed various worldwide threats to his muggle employer.
But now the struggling British Ministry was in way over their heads with the Seven, whether they verbally admitted it or not. They were doing just as Daniel had predicted. The magical community, worldwide, were on their heels, reacting against the Seven instead of attacking. The ambitious British Ministry were the first and last to ever assemble an army to attack the Seven head on. Through a magical tracking spell devised well outside the laws of the ministry, an army formed and headed out for the attack. Disgusted by the means in which the wizards employed by Britain’s Ministry of Magic, had gone to locate the Seven, forced the young Dempsey to infiltrate their ranks. He was going beyond Daniel’s request and but that was not Dempsey’s concern. With the army in place over a set of unknown islands Dempsey revealed his surprise. From within the army’s mental shield he launched a psychic tsunami that dropped all defenses, leaving the force open and vulnerable. Daniel and the Seven abandoned their defenses, and flawlessly slaughtering everyone, save Dempsey himself. All who had learned the way to the islands though Ministry sanctioned, spell died. Dempsey didn’t know how Daniel would react, but had his own cover sealed.
After that brutal defeat several other progressive attack operations fell short before blood had ever been shed. He smiled and cleared the thought from his mind. If his employer knew of even a fraction of his involvement he would be sentenced to death and never reach the walls of Azkaban. MI6 would simply place him as MIA and the legacy of his life would go silently into the waves of time. But these Aurora’s hadn’t a clue, no, even Daniel was clueless of the extent Dempsey had gone to sabotage the efforts of the Ministry. Such could be considered espionage to the point of treason. But he had not declared war against his own people. He simply believed in truth and freedom too much to blindly follow orders. The same men who cursed Daniel, schemed evil in their own dark hearts. How dare they condemn a man who stood for such a noble cause? Another smile was masked and shared by a young aura who had just successfully duplicated a thread within Dahana’s impressive escape. `
The proud gleam in the young man’s eyes stabbed deep into Dempsey’s soul. The grin worked into a grimace faster than Dempsey wished. He nodded and spun around hoping the lad hadn’t seen it.
On his way to hear a briefing from a special, elite department of magical investigation, a man he knew, respected and had no desire confront, Seth, stepped out of a doorway straight ahead and to his right. Dempsey tilted his to the side and forced the biggest grin his weary, fatigued mussels would allow. Two his surprise and relief the man appeared in a hurry.
Seth Wright
Seth had just received an in Ministry message from Lucas Fairmont. It seemed important as all it said was, “Need to talk! Urgent! Lucas” Seth was more than a little worried as Tia was only a second year and David Valentine still had not been caught. Plus now it seemed as he might not be the only one who was out to destroy the Andreas line. There was also a Native American by the name of Dahana that Dempsey had heard rumors could be responsible for Marcus' death. Dempsey had promised to call in a favor to get added protection for the young Princess. Seth had decided that this new protector, even he did not want to know. There was a leak and until they figured out who, it was better nobody knew who all was guarding his god-daughter.
Just as he was headed out to meet Lucas, Adal walked up with an envelope. Seth had received a nod when he asked if it was what he had requested copied for McBurr. He placed it in his pocket intent on handing it to Dempsey after his meeting.
The Junior Undersecretary saw Dempsey and reached into his pocket for the envelope. He noticed how worn out McBurr seemed and started to signal to the man to just go home. As he reached Dempsey, Seth said as he handed the envelope to him, “Here is the info you asked for.”
After Dempsey talked, Seth Wright said still pointing to the door, “You can give your report tomorrow. Home Now McBurr. That's an Order!”
(OCC: This thread takes place Tia's 2nd year at Hogwarts. Adal Friedmann is one of my characters. Aaron gave permission for what was said about Dahana and Dempsey as the info is already known due to this thread being a Back Thread.)
