Meeting a Friend or Foe(Prime Minister's Office:)
(OOC: Combined threads from the previous site)
Cameron Rowe
Cameron opened the door to his new office. He remembered as he looked around that somebody unknown had recommended him. Who could this person be?, Cam wondered as he realized that he was actually a lot younger than any other Prime Minister in history. At 37 years old, Cameron William Rowe was reported to be the youngest PM in British history.
Going to his desk, he noticed a picture on the wall next to his seat. It was of a an ugly man, who seemed to be yawning. Cameron debated on whether it was the proper place for such a picture. It must have belong to the last minister and he just forgot to take it with him., Cameron thought as he decided to have it boxed up for the man in the morning.
Sitting down, he remembered hearing about the terrorist group that had gave the last several ministers problem. The group killed and took any one they pleased. Nobody seemed to be able to stop them.
Saying a little more than annoyed, "These terrorists are going to find that I don't play games. They will not be my downfall. I will be theirs."
Thinking about the mysterious number seven being sky-written at each of the crime scenes, Cameron reached for the phone. It was time for a new group of MI-6 to be formed and this group of Terrorists would be their first target.
Alexander Caulton
Things were terribly busy at the Ministry of Magic. The Prime Minister wasn't able to hear the goings-on, of course, but the man in the portrait could hear tons of wizards scrambling to get things done, opening and closing doors every few seconds at his other portrait in the office that belonged to the Prime Minister's wizarding counterpart. Things were always busy at the Ministry these days, and there was no sign of the work letting up anytime soon. The ugly man in the portrait was very grateful that his duty was to reside in the Muggle government offices most of the time. And as if things weren't already hectic enough, a new Prime Minister had just been placed in office in the Muggle world. The man in the portrait watched the new Prime Minister closely, being careful not to be so obvious that the Prime Minister noticed that a painting was following his every movement. In a few moments, the Prime Minister would be brought up to speed on the reality of things, and he would just start to realize what he had gotten himself into by being a politician. Personally, the ugly man thought that this could wait; that there were more pressing matters to attend to. Caulton really doesn't have time for this thought the portrait man.
About 15 minutes later, the ugly man in the portrait received his signal. There was no doubt that this Muggle politician would be thoroughly confused, but that was for the Ministry to deal with. Thankfully, he was merely the messenger. The portrait man opened his mouth and spoke very clearly, leaving no room for anyone to think they were just hearing voices in their heads.
"To the Prime Minister of Muggles: Urgent that we meet. Please respond promptly. Sincerely, Alexander Caulton, Minister of Magic."
Cameron Rowe
Cameron was just about to call Military Intelligence to start the new MI-6 group, when he heard:
Cameron looked around to see who this Alexander Caulton was. He wondered if somebody was playing a joke on him. Minister of Magic, indeed., Cameron thought as he wondered where the speaker was. Looking all around the picture of the ugly man, Cam found nothing. Thinking that it was probably behind the picture, Cam tried to remove it. That did not happen as it seemed to be glued to the wall.
If this was somebody's idea of a joke, this Caulton would find that he was not into foolishness. As Cameron tore the office apart, he wondered a little annoyed if this Alexander Caulton was the man that recommended him.
With just the picture of the ugly man on the wall and his seat next to it, Cameron said annoyed, " Okay, Mister Alexander Caulton, who ever you are. I am not in the mood for foolish games. I have a lot of work to do, starting with getting a special group together. And their first job will be a group of Terrorists that have been a thorn in the side of several past Prime Ministers. I have no intention of letting them being the cause of my downfall. So if you are want to talk show yourself. If not, then excuse me and I will get back to bring about this group's end."
Cameron looked for where he had stuck the phone. Not seeing it, Cameron started cleaning up the mess he had made of his office, while looking for the speaker.
"And if you show yourself, Mister Caulton, realize that you have got some explaining to do." ,Cameron said tired of this group that thought they could do whatever they wanted. Cameron planned on showing these terrorists how wrong they were. Saying a little aloud, "As soon as I find that phone, that is..."
Alexander Caulton
The ugly man in the portrait raised his eyebrows a little as he watched the man that had been chosen for Prime Minister. As he tried to remove the portrait from the wall, make a mess of his brand new office, and other futile tricks to find who had spoken to him, the man in the portrait couldn't help but feel that the newly elected Prime Minister was a bit dense. Incredibly, after searching for who had spoken for a few moments and finding no one, the Prime Minister gave up and started to tidy up his office once more, causing the ugly man in the portrait to roll his eyes. Perhaps he hears voices all the time he thought. Maybe voices in his head are so common that he'll stop paying attention after awhile.
The man in the portrait cleared his throat loudly and even waved one of his arms to get the Prime Minister's attention, who obviously wasn't going to take any of this very well. "Excuse me, Prime Minister," said the portrait man. "Things are entirely too busy to be playing such games. Please kindly respond to Caulton's request so I may inform him that it's safe to apparate to come and meet with you. And don't try removing my painting again; you'll be wasting time, both mine and yours." The man in the portrait folded his arms and waited for Rowe's response. He sincerely hoped that he had gotten his point across, as dealing with a change in office on either side was always troublesome and tedious. It would be better for all of them if they could get awkward introductions out of the way quickly.
Cameron Rowe
Cameron was sure this was somebody's idea of a joke. Somebody was going to find out very soon that Cameron William Rowe had always had the last laugh. Looking over at the picture, he had trouble believing what he saw. The ugly man wasn't yawning anymore but waving his arms. Cameron was sure he was just over tired, thought a little a loud, "Pictures don't move." This one did and as he moved closer to the picture; the next thing that happened got Cam to realize that what he was seeing was real.
The ugly man didn't just move his arms but spoke too. Cameron was shocked to say the least. He had always believe himself a man of logic. Could magic really exist?, Cam thought as he listened to the little man in the portrait.
Had he not just told the man to show himself? Cameron realized then that his office still looked a mess. Getting up Cam started to go to the door as he tried to tidy up. Deciding that he wanted to know when this Caulton showed, Cam locked the door.
After sitting back down, Cameron realized that the little man was waiting as his arms were folded. Cameron looked straight at the man and answered a little shaken but not able to deny what his eyes were seeing, "Okay, I too don't like wasting my time. I don't know how this is happening, but I am one for seeing is believing. Now I believe I said a little while ago that this Alexander Caulton to show himself. So whatever this "apparate" is, he has already been given the okay by me. Though I believe I also said that if he did, he would have some explaining to do, because I for one do not like games. I have a lot of work to do and number one on my list, is this terrorist group that has been a thorn in this country side for a good many years."
Looking around at the mess in his office, he said quietly, "I hope this man doesn't mind the mess." As for the picture, Cameron would just see about that later as he did not in the least like to be spied on. He still wondered if this Caulton was the one that recommended him, if so then why? Cameron decided to ask the man if and when he was announced.
Cameron thought as he waited for the knock that would tell of the arrival of this mysterious man, My wife is never going to let me forget this day. She still believes in the little people of her native land. Cameron used to tease her to no end about her belief, now she would be the one with the last laugh.
