Return (Ministry, Department of Magical Law Enforcement
(OOC: Combined threads from the previous site)
DEMPSEY McBURR
Through the hustle and bustle of clogged pathways, between both innocent and potentially villainous individuals, Dempsey maintained his swagger. The closer he maneuvered toward the Ministry the more he could feel random eyes turning into stares and expressions he dared not meet to discern. He would die this day, and in that he regretted not taking the time for one last intimate embrace, for Bina’s sake. Nevertheless, Dempsey had sent many to their graves and feared not meeting his own end. That he had come to terms with years ago.
Without a break in stride Dempsey entered the Ministry chin high hands hidden, coat flapping behind his legs revealing freshly creased black slacks. No one approached him. Instead all seemed stunned and staring as if brainlessly in shock.
“Back to work!” Dempsey spouted off as if he had any power. At least he gave one last meaningful order in the chaotic cluster he called his primary employment.
In moments he was inside the law enforcement department with equally dismayed and confused expressions.
“You speak with ghosts daily, and here I am in the flesh and you’re having a heart attack? Back to work!” Immediately he prepared himself to throw some wannabe out of his office in an act not expecting all of them to draw wands and give him one last chance to go down with a bang. Instead his office was as pristinely thrashed as he had left it. Other than someone going through his missions, he could only wonder who that was.
He turned to face the bullpen and everyone spun around to act as if they weren’t staring childishly. Something about this apprehension was off target. Maybe no one knew that he was a fugitive? Maybe he wasn’t a fugitive. Nevertheless, Dempsey had no clue how to emotionally prepare himself for the roller-coaster of life or death that was far out of his hands at the moment. He chose to accept his end but play it off as if nothing at all had happened. He still had more authority than anyone in the bullpen, in fact he couldn’t see anyone in that office with his rank.
WILLIAM BROOK
William had just gotten done with a ton of paperwork when he saw Brennan Dawson's owl fly through the window and drop a note on his desk. The Auror smiled as he prayed it was an all clear in regards to his cousin Seth, the new minister of magic. He tore up the note and read.
William smiled as he told the young upstart assistant, “So my old partner is coming in finally. You are to inform the Aurors on duty. That McBurr is coming in. They are to Do Nothing except signal me! If they try to stop him, I will not be responsible for what McBurr chooses to Do! Are We Clear? Stall Him are our Orders! Nothing More!”
He watched as the man left and then sent word back through the little old man in the portrait that Dempsey would be Stalled. The man that he thought about as he waited had some explaining to do. What are you thinking Dempsey? You had better have a very good reason for this disappearance act or Seth is going to have both of our heads., William thought as his signal light went off.
He headed out to McBurr's office and thought about just how to stall the man that had been his friend for so many years.
Once at McBurr's office, William opened the door. He closed the door and then said, “McBurr, one year and not even a postcard! I thought we were going to find your body somewhere! Worry Me Like that again and Seth won't be the only one who you will be answering to!”
DEMPSEY
His door swayed cautiously and none other than William Brook.
If ever there was a sign confirming Dempsey’s head was not on the chopping block this was point in the safe direction. Never had he been so relieved and even truly overjoyed to see William. He could not disguise the grin that had parted his mouth but he leaned back on his deck to contain the jubilant rush through his veins.
“You would never believe the path I have walked while beneath the cloak of the Seven.” Dempsey turned toward a cabinet and opened the door to reveal a stock of liquor that could have the queen of England inquiring over his distributer. But William didn’t drink, as far as Dempsey was aware. He grabbed two crystal glasses anyways and poured himself a mild scotch while handing William the empty glass. A tap of his foot to the side of his black walnut desk released the door at the edge of its ebony finish. The masterpiece revealed an icebox filled with a large variety of drinks to cool the throat from beer, to soda, pumpkin aid to plain water as far as the eye could gaze. Yes magic had its more luxurious uses indeed, but spirits needed to be authentic proper distillations from reputable Muggle companies. No way would he ever trust a wizard to perform such physical mastery. Except maybe Fai.
Dempsey had not smelled much less sipped a strong drink in over a year. He swirled the caramel liquid about the glass to coat the walls and release the power inside.
Foolishness he decided and took a sip it hit his lips like honey to a bee and warmed its way down his throat like a blanket over his soul. Yes, there was always a time and place for spirits. But he had a guest to entertain and William had as much a right as any to know.
“I narrowly escaped death on the islands.” Knowing that would draw curiosity Dempsey lifted a finger above the rim of his glass and motioned William to hold off. Even moved his arm toward a seat hoping the man would sit. “Beyond my initial escape I owe a very unique Chinaman for providing a safe place for me and my new wife to allow the very serious threat posed by the Number to eliminate all known members of the Seven that had not converted to Echelon’s wicket ranks.”
“William, I spent nearly my entire career infiltrating various criminal organizations, muggle and Wizard alike and during the time of our last Minister, may he retire in peace, the corruption and danger within these very walls was worse than anyplace away. I can name names places associations, and I have enough evidence compiled to exonerate myself if I were to have stricken some of them dead in the past present or have yet to utilize that option. However, my own tip toeing has caught attention I’m sure. Nevertheless, I would never jeopardize my wife in placing her in the protection of specific Ministry officials, officers, auror’s or mere clerics. But Seth made a front page article and my Chinese friend presented this news to me with a departing gift. It was time to return. Face the clock, and prepare my debrief.”
Dempsey sipped his scotch slowly while he listened. “There is much to be explained, but there are serious ramifications to weeding out our population too swiftly. I must speak with Seth, and I’m sure my honor will be addressed.” Dempsey shrugged. “Arrogent in my abilities I admit that I am at fault. Proud of the evil on evil I’ve repaid? Does that square me good for good per society saved? Yet I bask knot in glory allowing the ungrateful ministry take credit and praise. I sought not awards or special privileges…”
“Yes I have received special privileges but I have used it all to benefit the ministries purpose as a whole.”
“Yes yes, I’m lecturing to my witness, which is simply put I have another grief. At any moment between now and the indefinite days ahead, I will become a father. This last year has been an experience for me brother, but one I will relish as the most peaceful and purposeful moments spent in my existence. And now I’m going to be a father. That changes everything.”
“Of course I love Ryan but he was already old enough to take care of his own basic needs. I’m talking about infant. Innocent curious little disaster ripping through my bloodstained life. So I’m here to take care of my debrief, suffer whatever consequences I must and find a different direction for my career.”
“I thrive on bringing down the egotistical maniacs you know that. Still jumping all over the world to hobnobbing with the mentally insane will take precious time away from teach logic, reason and goodness to my own like my father did for me.”
William Brook
William sadly shook his head as he said, “I trained you remember. I know just what you might have had to do to secure that cover. This is going to be a hard debrief, you been gone too long without contact. If Seth was to go easy on you Dempsey, your loyalty would always be in question. We don't want that, especially when you risked everything coming back. We have most of the suspect leaks removed from areas that could give our enemies a foot hold.”
William secured the room and then said worried, “Dempsey, I won't lie to you. There has been an inquiry. Somebody on the Council wants your head. Seth and the others worked as quickly as they could but the Council ordered both Tarik and Darik questioned. Luckily your friend Tarik's family had some major pull and he was not brought in by Aurors. Tarik's refusal to answer all the questions that the Council ordered put a spotlight on him and you. The only thing keeping this from blowing up in our face is they wanted Seth as Minister and Sasha McChey as Headmistress of Hogwarts. That gave Seth pull as he demanded certain conditions before he agreed to the new position. Dempsey, they agreed to every condition but if anything you report is different from what that inquiry found, Tarik will be arrested as a traitor and sent back to Egypt to be executed. Somehow they found out about him being at the Dojo and that he was translating runes for Daniel. Dempsey, Tarik swears he never finished and that the runes were destroyed. We believe him but there are some that don't and think he sold out to the Seven. Seth believes that the ones behind this is trying to destroy Tarik as a way of striking at Arianna Sadaki or as a way of forcing Tia Andreas' return to Egypt.”
Dempsey
Corld hard facts is all that calculated through Dempsey’s mind. From Tarik to the poor child who had seemingly lost her father and mother overnight. And like a never ending nightmare her brother was taken just as brutally. No matter what emotion he felt over the news, he remained calm, cold and callous. Some might think him heartless but this was farther from the truth than anyone cold guess.
Tarik had been his very been his closest friend for many years, and the closest confident a true spy could ever have. Not even Bina knew detailed specifics of Dempsey’s beliefs. The boy he had saved from the streets and raised for several years might have an innate idea of Dempsey’s heart, but the detailed outlook of Dempsey’s belief could only be understood by such a friend as came face to face with death and survived.
With as straight an expression as Dempsey ever displayed he glanced across at William and considered his next words carefully.
“I asked Tarik to come with me to speak to Daniel. I alone am to blame for whatever accusations the department can come up with. I am the only agent to infiltrate the Seven and retain breath and mind to speak of it. And I am the only agent with a full list of names of every source Daniel used both in the ministry as well as civilian, to employ his tactics. I also know the motive of the Seven, which is beyond the rudiment ideology of most auroras, who simply follow what they are told. So if anyone is to be blamed or accused of treason..,” Dempsey leaned forward and used his right hand to point back at his scowling face. “…its me.”
He leaned back and reached into his desk. He withdrew a thick file, filled beyond its capacity. Lifted it high and released it carelessly to fall to his desk. When it slammed against the surface, papers slid from within revealing words some of which were names even William should have been able to identify. The intelligence and pure fact about their crimes and association with the Seven could convict to death three times over. Nevertheless, it was the names and faces of those Dempsey had not yet revealed that would shock the ministry to core
BRENNAN DAWSON
Brennan knocked on McBurr's door. He heard somebody open the door and stared at William Brook. Smiling, the Hit Wizard said, "Hello, your cousin Seth will be here soon."
Looking over at McBurr, he said, "The new Minister of Magic requests that you, Mr. McBurr wait here until he arrives." Brennan hoped that Dempsey would not do anything rash. The man looked worried so he said, "The woman you escorted to St. Mungo's is safe and well protected Dempsey. Seth just wants to talk with you and would rather not go looking for you." He entered and locked the door then said extending his hand, "Name's Brennan Dawson but Boss and the others call me Sherlock. I have been requested to wait with you until Seth gets here. William you can stay as well as Mr. McBurr might feel more comfortable with somebody he knows here as well." Bren stood in front of the door as he had his orders that Dempsey was not to leave the office until Seth Wright got there. Sherlock hoped that Dempsey understood the position that the man had just placed Seth Wright in. At least Seth would have Lucas Fairmont with him.
(OCC: Had my husband's permission to control his character William Brook in this post. Seth Wright is one of my many characters. My main character is Sasha McChey.)
Dempsey
A knock at the door sent his heart skipping a beat. Even the carefully calculated explanation as to his whereabouts he had worked on for over a year. The same explanation he had prepared to give years past, back when he had first established a friendship with Denial. One he had modified up until then. The entire seemingly fool proof, fact binding statement fled his mind. His eyes darted to William who only crooked a brow. Dempsey gave a slow nod then turned his attention to the door. Seth never would have knocked. Whoever stood on the outside of that door was not the man he returned thousands of miles to speak with.
As William opened the door Dempsey’s heart slowed to a pace as if it already knew that a jolt of adrenaline would soon send it racing along with the magic soon to fly across the room. But Dempsey slid his wand neatly back up his sleeve as the door opened. Instead he reached just beneath the desk with both hands caressing the hilts of two very special non-lethal dart guns. After all he was in the ministry, and any enemy was still an employee. Besides, he might have to put both William and this individual out. The world was already lacking enough men of reason, he could not in good conscience take another.
A young man entered, a hit wizard groomed by the reasonable voices of the ministry. Dempsey relaxed his hands from the weapons twisted his right wrist to seat his wand within the slot of his coat, ready at a moment’s call but out of his way if dialect could establish a reasonable purpose.
As the man proceeded to speak Dempsey rose from behind his desk, slowly, as to allow his stature and demeanor speak much louder than any words from his mouth.
"The new Minister of Magic requests that you, Mr. McBurr wait here until he arrives."
Dempsey never took his eyes off of the brash hit wizard. He had rounded his desk and stood arms crossed in front. He could feel William’s eyes but that did not concern Dempsey.
The young man continued. "The woman you escorted to St. Mungo's is safe and well protected, Dempsey. Seth just wants to talk with you and would rather not go looking for you."
His money maker, life saver, combat superior cool melted in a flash. Dempsey grit his teeth and for the purpose of his return alone did he turn his attention from this Brennon to lock eyes on William. Did this young upstart use his wife as leverage? This was not way of Seth Wright, nor William but Dempsey knew the path of those who could do such a thing. Without saying a word Dempsey held his gaze on William to judge the man’s response as well to receive the guarantee that he personally would look into this matter. No words needed spoken if he read William’s reaction correctly.
The young man still continued to speak. "Name's Brennan Dawson but Boss and the others call me Sherlock. I have been requested to wait with you until Seth gets here. William you can stay as well as Mr. McBurr might feel more comfortable with somebody he knows here as well."
Dempsey took one step and grasp the man’s hand hard but relented to use the full strength his grip had earned over the years. No, it was the last year in Shangri-la that had toned his muscles in areas even training at MI6 hadn’t found. But now was not the time nor place to intimidate. That was done for the purpose of inflicting fear upon an enemy he needed demoralized before taking them out. In this case he had one purpose and that was to speak to Seth Write. Dempsey knew that the knowledge he retained about the situation at hand, potential allies and unlikely enemies. Seth was the first man of honor to be named minister of magic in well over three hundred years. A man of action and cause now presided over the lords of magic, and for that hope Dempsey had to force the threat, insulting demeanor, and arrogant stature of this young upstart hit wizard slide… for now.
Dempsey turned to William and chose a very rare limited language to make his demand, Bina’s native tongue. “If something happens to my wife, my family, you my brother I hold responsible. Because if Seth has resorted to surrounding himself with thugs I fear my purpose here may already be lost.”
The language was so far separated from any known words that unless one had lived among the native’s or had been trained under the mercy of magic and a strict teacher rivaling the monks of Shangri-la they would not understand it. Before William could reply Dempsey turned back to this, Brennan and placed both hands behind his back.
Dempsey swiftly switched his mood, believing that William understood and nothing else need be mentioned on the subject. “On whose errand do you fathom I stand here, boy? Surely you think I’m not a fool to come waltzing into the Ministry Magic thinking everything is squeaky clean?” Dempsey gazed toward a locker built into the wall. One way he could easily waltz right out the ministry if he wished. In fact he had several means of which to escape if the need ever arose and all of them remained unhampered with. But Dempsey was prepared to die the moment he separated from Bina.
“How much do you know of me, lad?” He glanced at William then back. “I come and go as I please and shall until the day I die. In fact, I am here completely aware of my potential fate. Now, I ask you again, think you stand before a fool? Think you, Dempsey McBurr misguided? Think you, I left my family helpless as I prepare to face the executioner? What reason would I have to enter the ministry over a year past the death of Denial and the fall of the Seven? Dare I not consider implementation toward my own involvement in the organization? Dare I explain my escape from echelon?” He turned to William and gave a crooked grin. “Might I after all those years undercover surrounded by enemies within Seven Deaths,” he turned back to the lad presuming to keep him detained, supposedly for Seth “be foolish enough to simple return to the ministry and just clock in? Know you not at what level of power that treason is whispered and conspired behind these corrupt walls? No, I suppose you couldn’t. “However, this lad is posting himself as a makeshift guard, until Seth to arrive. This he does while he threatens my family.” He lifted a finger to halt any reply. “The mere fact that you have involved yourself to learn of her existence has raised enemy interest in who she might be as well.” He grit his teeth then turned toward William “Who leads this rag tag group. I swear that’s why I always work alone.
“You see, I’m fully aware that not all of my accusers are fully corrupt. They are the ones I can’t touch but might seek to harm me. And now you lead them to her. Brilliant! Remind me to kill you when this is over.
“I admit but will not disclose the extent of my experiences to you. There is a definite line that separates the nature of innocence, guilt but the amount of blood staining my hands can blur that truth. But I’ll tell you this, the last year of my life was spent in the most magical and peaceful city I have ever seen. There I found the line again. And in my own heart I have acquitted myself. Now it no longer matter if I live or die. I come and go as I please, and if I die in the process I’ll take as many try to stop me to the grave as well. I will die in peace with the world around me is drenched in the blood of my enemies. Are you my enemy Brennon? Never threaten my family.”
Dempsey grinned and headed around his desk withdrew an ancient bottle of Irish whisky stashed behind the cabinet, and poured a drink.
William Brook
William cleared his throat after Dempsey said his peace. William was cautious and calculating to wait until Dempsey spoke his peace and unloaded at least a small amount of the man’s pent up anger. Dempsey deserved the right to vent even though Brennan may not have deserved the full extent, the young man could take this moment and relive the accuracy of the words that came from his mouth. Maybe the three could joke about it one day in the future with Dempsey’s little one and other’s dashing through people like a maze.
The comforting thought flashed through Williams mind faster than light but it gave him the foundation and hope to believe in the men around him and the authority to lay to rest any possible confrontations within the tried and true. Men he’d gladly have watching his back anytime anywhere. William nodded as Dempsey’s apprehensive glare expected. He had to find the nerve center within this man his friend and divert its aggression in a mutual direction. William knowing Dempsey already formed several danger points he felt needed addressed right away. William spoke before Brennan Dawson could respond, “In the matter of the young lady, she is of no concern to the matter at hand but her safety I would consider equal to the minister of magic himself. I hope that it is understood that other than those chosen to protect Seth the absolute best protection the minister has available will not do. She is an unknown and find loyal trust worth unknowns to guard for her safety.
William turned his eyes back to Dempsey. “Your family to me Dempsey and the ministry’s ace in the hole every time. You can understand when the information was delivered to me only moments after you arrived at St. Mungo’s. I know Bina and what she means to you. I gave the order for her protection not for anything other than protection. Dempsey, you can’t show up in such a heavily populated area after going missing for a year. Your name sends chills up the spin of your enemies and your loyalties are questioned but the very wizards who’s loyalty lay obviously wrapped within themselves rather than dedicated to the ministry. We are not your enemy. But beware the council is filled with many who want your head only because of the fear of your legend. Your are a ghost bringing torment to some a suspect to others and rival to myself for standing on the principle of ones own beliefs. If I didn’t know your beliefs as much as I do and share your resolve to stand on what is right over the command of a divided council arguing over how to manipulate rules to benefit themselves. You must believe I tested you from the moment I walked in and. I am a member of the ministry, and you are a member of the ministry, we are not alone Dempsey. There are many like us who believe and Seth has been named head over the chaos. I don’t need to know the means of which you successfully completed your mission to infiltrate the Seven, Dempsey. I accept the end resulting proof you provided throughout the years that aided us in thwarting attacks and even rescuing our own from with Daniel’s grasp. If I have misread you please correct me.” William waited for a moment but Dempsey did not respond.
Dempsey sat at the edge of his desk emotionless and still.
William could see the calculations written in Dempsey’s eyes even caution and unmistakable worry for Bina. With that considered William wondered if the young lady would remember him nevertheless he intended to pay her a visit and make sure her protection understand the level of security required to insure her safety. But Dempsey was a man on the edge.
William truly didn’t know who would win in a death match between them. Though the ministry would need to be completely demolished and rebuild. The potential lose of life from collateral wizards suffering damage or loss would turn they little dual into a full blown war and two of the most practical, loyal, wizards will have fought and lost their lives simply because they were too much alike in perspective and dedication to the planet as a whole.
William had to learn for himself to make sure that he was the same Dempsey at heart sharpened and honed into one of the deadliest men in England. Of course William could outmaneuver Dempsey or he used to barley win with they were young. They hadn’t tested their skills since the day Dempsey arrived only a few years after William.
Dempsey’s eyes grew dark and William prepared for the challenge that Dempsey posed against him. Death considered but William was practical but shiny gloss quickly resolved the temperament of his friend. William raised a hand toward Brennan. This man is one of us. Judge his incorrect order of information as it was given as overwork, based on dedications to a belief that he can make a change. I truly believe that I can make positive lasting effects by doing my job based on what I believe is right and like you Dempsey they will never know because we take pride in our glory less work.” William extended a hand to Dempsey and watch the master gain control over the visual expression of his pain though slow unknowable blinks. William of people knew that Dempsey was far from emotionless, and he only hoped that he had struck a common nerve in the man.
Dempsey took much of what William had said to heart. He had confirmed a knowledge they both knew of each other and had utilized for mutual benefit. Dempsey used the same platform of ideology with Daniel but the result Daniel required were the opposite of what Dempsey could allow. It had been many years since he and William would pick each others brains and bouncing ideas or arguing facts until proven incorrect. He enjoyed those challenges because it was never a matter of winning or losing, it was about improving and learning while sharing.
Dempsey shook his head. “I believe in the silent hero’s and the true path of light. I have refined but not diminished my resolve concerning how I approach work.”
Dempsey intentionally allowed a half grin form as he glanced at the man who resembled himself in the early days. He had so much to prove to himself that admitting a failure took outside influence. “It takes seasoning, but he might turn out. After I speak with Seth and face the traitors I’ll be at St. Mungo’s if you wish to inquire of my knowledge”
(OCC: I had Dempsey permission to say what was said here.)
DEMPSEY MCBURR
Dempsey sipped his drink and allowed it to burn its way down his throat while listening to William say his peace. At the moment he had to consider the bigger picture. Fai was his ace in the hole no matter what transpired at that moment. However, William was right and Dempsey knew it. The new threat against the world both to both Wizards and muggles was more important than whatever had passed under the bridge. The problems were surmounting and keeping him off balance. But Dempsey had plans. Maybe Danial was right about many things but he was also wrong as well about just as many. If he had a chance to change, or at the very least open the eyes of the members of the ministry, those who were worth saving, his life would be would its weight in gold. If only at the very least a change could be made so that his child could have a better life.
He took another sip of the strong drink and then dumped the rest into the trash can. He grinned at William while he placed the cap back on the bottle. “You have any idea how much this special reserve cost me?” Dempsey laughed and placed liquid back where he had retrieved it. “If we’re going to get to work then I had better be of a clear mind, a?”
LUCAS FAIRMONT
Lucas used his pass key and open the door in time to hear Brennan say, "It was not a threat Cowboy, I only wanted to ease his mind."
Seth cleared his voice as they both entered, "Sherlock, you did the exact opposite. Now get as many Aurors and Hit Wizards over there as the ones I saw outside are dead. Two students are missing and one of them is Core! Oh and Sherlock, Bina received a note that the kids took."
Lucas shook his head, "Boss, Sherlock is already gone! Dempsey,Brennan Dawson did not lead them to Bina, if that is what you think? The guard at her door did. Me questioning him is what took us so long! She is okay, and Bren has been overworked as of late. He usually is not here but Heads Hogwart's Security. With Jackson missing, Bren was assigned right after training. Then the Head of Security died the same night as Caulton. Sasha with Council approval appointed him temporary Head of Security. You know how the Aurors took that. That kid grew up fast and still don't think he is up to what is being asked of him."
Seth smiled as they were walking back out of the Ministry, "Welcome Back Head Auror McBurr! 50 handpicked Aurors Bren will find there. She is fine. It is the children I am concerned with as it is Alwart and Adal's grandchildren. Your debrief cleared you or I would have found you in cuffs. Sherlock is like his real father, a Profiler! Now let's find those kids and it seems my god daughter Tia is also missing. Sherlock is very protective of the students. By the way, he could use an Auror besides Martin backing him up at Hogwarts or at least certain Aurors chatted with. Care to show Bren how to deal with Aurors and Hit Wizards who think just because they are older or have high ranking parents they don't have to listen to a superior?"
DEMPSEY MCBURR
Dempsey gave a quick half grin at the welcome back but soon lost focus when. He heard about his Wife, Ellery, and Emily. "What?" He was head Aurora now but each of those were particularly special to him. Then he heard Tia's name and immediately feared the worst. But before he could allow his emotions to overcome him he had to pay attention to the location of all of his subordinates. Seth would be watching to see how he took charge.
"I need the names of every, Arura, hit Wizard, and pretty much every person with who I have a responsibility. I also want a list of every, potential recruit I need brought up to speed immediately. We need at least four working overlapping shifts at Hogwarts. If we lack the manpower start enlisting our potential recruits and work with Sasha to insure that they still have time for their studies. I want inquiry on every person within my department as standard protocol including our future recruits. Don't dig too deep though because we don't have the manpower. Just rustle some feathers and see who sticks their head out." He turned to Seth. "If you don't mind, Minister, I'm going to be a father and I fear my wife and two children very special to me are in great danger."

DEMPSEY McBURR

William had just gotten done with a ton of paperwork when he saw Brennan Dawson's owl fly through the window and drop a note on his desk. The Auror smiled as he prayed it was an all clear in regards to his cousin Seth, the new minister of magic. He tore up the note and read.
He owled Seth's cousin William Brook, “Dempsey's back! Stall! He is Not To Leave the Ministry! Cousin wants Words! Bren”
Instead his office was as pristinely thrashed as he had left it. Other than someone going through his missions, he could only wonder who that was.
He closed the door and then said, “McBurr, one year and not even a postcard! I thought we were going to find your body somewhere! Worry Me Like that again and Seth won't be the only one who you will be answering to!”
