Two Day Scramble for Protection

(OOC: continuation of Shadow Lounge, An Uneasy Truce (closed)'; happens the same time as Hospital Wing, Emergency before the Emergency.)
RICHARD GREENE
Richard received the signal from the elf watching the Quidditch field where Darik said the party would be landing. Richard stood there with two Aurors, outside the garden, waiting to see if there was going to be any trouble. Darik had requested they wait closer to the school, in case they were followed.
When he saw Frank Cole, Gab, with Neo over his shoulder and Lance, he sent an Auror running to help them and the other one to stand half way between where they were and Brennan's office. Brennan was still under Cold Red status on Cole's island, so his office would be good. Brennan was head of security and no one would think twice about Frank Cole who was not a member of the staff, being taken there first.
Lance, Gab and the Auror, now carrying Neo, were waved off to the Medical Unit, while Cole was lead to Brennan's office. "Have a seat Frank. Darik I know told some others where we were so I am expecting them momentarily. You want something to drink?"
"Water would be fine. Thank you." Richard handed Cole the water and took his seat behind Brennan's small desk.
(OOC: Code Red = ; Richard and Frank are both my characters. )
SASHA
Sasha was furious when told by her husband Tarik that Frank Cole was waiting in Bren's office. "How dare that man come here! After what he did!" Sasha exploded as she raced through Joseph's office door. She would always think of it as Joseph's office though she was now Headmistress of Hogwarts.
She heard Joseph's portrait tell Tarik, "You better follow her Tarik. You know Sasha when she is like this. Though I have yet to understand what she finds wrong with this Frank Cole? maybe you can one day explain or introduce me to him?"
Tarik had not wanted to tell Sasha for this very reason. He knew she would not be happy about having The Fixer as Frank Cole was called so close to Tia and the rest of Core. Tarik nodded to the portrait as he followed his head-strong wife. He loved her though and even if the Magi did not agree with her, Tarik as Tia's adviser understood Sasha McChey's reasons.
Sasha a few minutes later, felt Tarik's hand in hers. She heard Tarik whisper, "Give him a chance to explain before tearing into him, please. Tia and the Core trusts him as did Tia's father William."
Sasha nodded as she took a few minutes to calm herself. She allowed Tarik to open the door as she said trying unsuccessfully to hold her rage, "It better be a very good Reason, for his sake!"
COLE
Cole tuned, in his position beside Brennan's, the head of security, desk. He knew full well he was not welcomed at the school. It was probably a good thing though, because he could protect these people a lot better, if he wasn't hampered by someone constantly looking over his shoulder and telling him what he couldn't do. He had his own set of rules for dealing with people who wanted to cause any kind of trouble with one of his favorite places. At the moment though he didn't have time to gradually bring them into the possible fire storm about to descend on them. "Head Mistress," he said as he gave the best gentlemanly bow he could give in the small space.
Holding the smile he nodded to Tarik. "Tarik, I know you won't believe this, but it is good to see you again." Cole leaned back against the nearest wall, crossed his arms across his chest and crossed his ankles. He looked at Richard and nodded.
Richard smiled and shook his head. He had gotten up out of the chair and offered it to Sasha. She outranked him here at the school, even though he outranked her in the Caretaker Group. Here she was first in command and he was second. In the Caretaker's he was second in command and she was just a member. "Sasha, please have a seat. I promise you this is all going to be explained to you."
As she took to offered seat Richard continued, "Neo, Lance and Gab have headed for the Hospital Wing." Richard held up his hand to be able to continue. "Neo was drugged with a mind altering drug. The same one from years ago. Gab was chained and I thought it was best to get him checked out also. Lance said he would be giving you a report as soon as possible."
"Sasha," Cole started, "in two days time the school is going to be attacked. The attackers, the an element of the MacIntosh Clan, will be looking to take away several individuals, not caring who else gets hurt while they are finding them. They don't care if the person injured is an adult, a child or an elf. I am here to help you stop them."
(OOC: I am writing for Richard and Frank for this thread. I have permission to say that Sasha sat down.)
TARIK
Tarik nodded at Cole. He liked the man though most like his wife had no clue as to the man's heart. "It must be bad to have you here Fixer!" Tarik said unsure of what news had brought the man here to the school.
Sasha had listened to the man that cared only for Khalid's next order. Now her vision of the attack on school had come true. "If you are warning us then I should tell you. According to the vision I had while you helped Linthux hold me, Your warning failed, Fixer! The school is taken!", Sasha was still trying to change the school's fate. She stared at the man that still was a mystery to her.
Her husband had asked her to hear the Fixer out and she had. She opened the door and was about to have him leave when she saw some of the Core. "What are you guys doing out of your dorms?" Sasha asked the children.
LUKE
Luke and Alex held Liam's arms. Liam had fought coming to the security office, but Luke and Alex had convince him he needed to. He and Alex had valuable information which was hopefully going to save some lives at the school. When Frank Cole had sent a message through the Elvin network, that he was headed to the school to discuss the upcoming attack, Luke had gotten the Core members together and they had decided to help. Tia, Landon, Danny and Rosa were headed for the hospital wing to see what they could find out there.
It was decided, Luke and Alex would take Liam to the security office, where they knew Cole would be taken too. In many ways the children trusted Frank Cole, but in others they didn't. They all know though the adults knew thing they had not told them. It was going to be a matter of trusting the adults in this, until it was proven otherwise. Telk was at the end of the hall on guard duty. Mika, Marshall and Silvia were stationed roughly half way in between the office and the hospital to run messages if needed.
"Hello Head Mistress. I received a message that the three of us should come to the office." Luke said.
"Please let them in Sasha," Cole started. "You have been looking for a way to either stop the attack or at least save lives. The boys are your answer to that quest."
Luke walked in first, followed by Liam and then by Alex. They all walked over to the desk and stood beside Richard. He was Deputy Head Master and could over rule anyone else in the room except for the Head Mistress. He was the safest bet at the moment for staying out of trouble.
Richard smiled at the three boys and then turned back to Sasha and Tarik. "Please have a seat," he motioned to the three seats in front of the desk, "and we will find out how to handle this situation."
(OOC: I am writing for Luke, Liam, Alex, Richard and Frank during this thread.)
SASHA
Sasha shook her head as she said furious, "The Core is not fighting if that is your idea." Her head hurt as the vision came. The man came at her as he changed. Sasha looked at who the wolf had been, one of the men from Diagon Alley but who. She felt herself being dragged to a robed man. The man was smiling as he held her throat. He was calling somebody.
Tarik had held his wife as her vision revealed its secrets.."So Luke, you okay?"
Sasha was still dizzy after her vision. "One of The Alpha will be staying in his human form. He leads them but has no ring." Sasha said as she tried to understand her vision. She looked at Fixer as she shook her head. The information gain from the visions was never enough. Sasha knew her eyes were wet as she wondered how many of the students and staff would die cause she did not see enough to save them.
Tarik watched his wife's doubt herself. He looked at Frank Cole as he asked, "Cole, help her. She can't lose the school. Her visions are never clear."
COLE
Luke looked around the room. "We are not planning on fighting Head Mistress. But we can help get the others to safety. I know you know we have been training with Frank Cole on his island. You would be surprised some of the things we know how to do. We also do not have any false need to prove how strong we are. We have learned to work as a team among ourselves and with adults. Frank Cole will tell us what to do because he knows are abilities and we will follow his orders."
"Yes I am fine, Tarik. The Core has been mobilized and we are waiting to see what the adults need us to do the most." He watched the adults sitting in the chairs. He felt Liam getting ready to run, so he put his hand out and held his arm. Alex looked at him, then looked to where he was holding Liam, and did the same to the boys other arm. Luke leaned closer to Liam and said, "We are not going to run. You are safe here, I promise this. Don't give up on yourself or on us." He received a nod from Liam, although the boys eyes still showed fear and the need to run.
Cole stood up a little straighter for resting against the wall. If the person did not have a ring on he was either not part of the clan or had not been bitten yet and turned.
Cole had seen the vision as it rammed its way through Sasha's brain. He recognized the man as one of the runners in Diagon Alley. A runner was someone who was almost constantly on the move, receiving and delivering messages. It was a good way to make galleons if you survived the message you were delivering. The receiver tended to take out their anger on the messenger.
He would be willing to bet the robbed man represented a member of the clan. The robes blocked the man's face.
Cole looked into Tarik's eyes. "I am here to help but you all have to be willing to listen. We don't have enough time to bicker over if one plan is better than another. We have to figure out exactly why the Clan in planning on attacking, who they are after and what else they might want." Turning to the three boys Cole said, "Liam and Alex, what do the clan want and who are they after?" Cole know all eyes in the room had gone to the three young men. As far as most were concerned they were just three boys going to classes, not spies for a family of Werewolves. Alex had given up the job as much as he could and Liam was still on the fence. Luke knew what was happening and was content to let the adults talk.
SASHA
Sasha was wondering what two students had to do with werewolves. "Explain why you are asking two of my students?".Sasha requested.
Tarik shrugged his shoulders. This was the kids' secret and not his to tell.
Jackson opened the door saying, "Hit Wizard Brennan Dawson are you in!"
Sasha was shocked as the one-eyed man standing in the door. "Jackson! How? Where have you been?" she asked as her eyes teared. The Headmistress had missed this friend who disappeared the same night as Joseph's died.
Jackson was there looking for a young hit wizard named Brennan Dawson. His friend had said the young man was full self doubt. He had been a prisoner for two years. Entering his old school warned him but as the new Minister said they had no time. He was pleased to hear that Seth Wright had become Minister of Magic
COLE
Richard looked up at the three boys standing beside his desk. Luke was watching Liam as was Alex. Alex's eyes were also darting around the room. He would be willing to bet, Liam was not here by choice and Alex was trying to figure out how he could get out of the room if he needed to. Luke was standing tall. Taking his eyes away from the boys he looked over to his friend, "I think I would like that explanation also, Frank."
Cole walked to stand beside Alex. He crossed his arms over his chest and planted his feet shoulder width apart. Luke is here as the representative of the Core and also because I thought it would help calm Liam a bit." Putting a hand on Alex's shoulder he explained, "Originally Alex was allowed, and I do mean allowed by the Clan to attend Hogwarts, so he could keep an eye on what was happening here." When it looked like everyone was going to say something he held up his hand. "Since he started here he has discovered he does not want to become part of the Clan so he is acting as sort-of a double agent at the moment." Cole smiled as he continued, "I have been training Alex privately to be able to add some safety to his life. He is very competent."
Cole made his way over to stand behind Liam. Luke and Alex dropped their grip. Liam glanced back at him, when he put a hand on each of the boys shoulders, then dropped his eyes to the floor. "Liam has a couple problems he needs to solve. He is being threatened by a relative and a man who wants to move up in the clan, that he must bring several members of the school for a visit the the clan's island or suffer." Cole patted Liam's shoulders and then tightened his grip a little to let the boy know he was on his side. "Liam is having a hard time deciding if he wants to live outside the Clan life or do as he has been told, bring the people to the Clan and then be able to be turned when it is his time. He hasn't fully decided which way he wants to go yet." Leaning down a little closer to Liam's ear he said, "Liam, am I telling the truth."
Before the boy could answer the door to the office opened and Jackson walked in looking for Brennan.
Through research he had done because of a promise he had made to Tara Friedmann, Cole had a picture of the man, who had just entered, in his files. The man had supposedly been missing for the last two years. His presents could be a good thing or a bad thing for Cole's future. The man, upon his return had probably been given his old job back which was Head of the Hitwizards with the Ministry. This meant either Cole was about to get arrested, and needed to come up with a plan real quick on getting out of there, or they just got some much needed help. Cole took a step back from Liam more into the shadows.
Richard stood up. This man had been gone for over two years. He had just fallen off the face of the Earth, as far as everyone was concerned. "Jackson. Good to see you back. I'm afraid Brennan is not here at the moment." Richard was not about to tell the man, Brennan was on Cole's private Isle of Perdition, under a Code Red evaluation for the Caretakers. So far Brennan had passed all of the tests, but there was still some belief he was holding out, on giving information he either did not want to give or was programmed to not give. Either way Cole had not asked for the Caretakers to reconsider the hitwizards status.
SASHA
Sasha interrupted, "Boys we will chat later, my office. For now, return to your dorms..." She wanted nothing to do with Frank Cole's game. All the Headmistress could think about was getting those kids away from Fixer so they could take him and possibly get some real answers.
Tarik looked at his wife and knew that look. He would just have to hope Frank Cole had a plan B.
"Hey Professor Greene. I was sent by the old Auror to have a chat with my pupil and friend about trying to pass up on his new job offer. I trained that Kid so I guess I missed something? So I am here to fix that error," Jackson said.
Sasha hugged back then smiled at Fixer as she said, "So maybe you should ask Frank Cole over there where he has Brennan." She knew that Jackson would be all business after her hint.
Jackson looked at the man that according to Sasha had Bren. He narrowed his eyes as he said pulling his wand, "You have to the count of three to tell me exactly where Head of Hogwarts Security Dawson is! Then you can explain exactly who and what you are doing here!"
Jackson turned to face the children.
"You three have business here? If not, Get Your Butts back to your Dorms NOW!" Jackson insisted not wanting the man to use the children as leverage.
RICHARD
Cole shook his head no when Luke looked at him for confirmation that they should leave. He knew it would get Sasha mad the boy had checked with him first, but Luke knew he would not have even come here if he didn't have something extremely important to do. When the door opened he knew the odds of getting out of here had just changed.
Richard just smiled as he watched Jackson hug Sasha. He knew they were old friends. Tarik, who usually growled when someone touched his wife was taking the whole situation nicely. Richard held back the chuckle, seeing Tarik's hands ball into white-knuckled fists at his side. "Hello Jackson, glad to see you are alive. "I'm afraid Brennan is not here at the moment. He needed some time off." Jackson didn't know about the Caretakers since they were new to the outside world. They had been around a while, but way behind the scenes. He couldn't tell Jackson Brennan was under a code red observation, on Cole's private Isle of Perdition, for his nerves and well being. With the progress Cole had reported it shouldn't be much longer before the Hit Wizard was back at the school as Head of Security and back in the Caretaker fold as the best profiler around.
Cole stood up a little straighter and walked back into the light, just off to the left of the boys. He crossed his arms over his chest and took a firm stance. Sasha had just pin pointed him as having something to do with Brennan not being present. Cole was not sure at this point if Jackson knew he was a mercenary and probably wanted for questioning in several areas around the world in the Magical world. The man also probably did not know he was the one who sent the elves, in order to set him free from the people who had held him captive. It had taken Cole almost two years to find him, when Tara had asked him to.
Cole smirked and said, "One... two...." but before he could say three, Luke stepped in between him and Jackson. "Frank is one of the good guys here. He has come to help save a few people here at the school. You leave him alone."
Cole reached out and tapped Luck on the shoulder motioning him back to his original spot next to the desk. "Do your worst Hit Wizard, but know this, I leave and you remove a lot of protection to this school."
Cole shook his head no, and the children stayed where they were. "The children stay. Put away your wand Hit Wizard or I will have a friend take it out of your hand." Cole smiled as Darik popped into the room, standing just off to the right of Jackson. The elf had his hand extended and his fingers spread, waiting for Cole to give a signal.
JACKSON
Sasha was furious that Fixer seemed to have convinced Luke to trust him. Sasha would chat later with the Core. She watched as Tarik just shrugged his shoulders.
Jackson saw the Medjai’s look as Sasha hugged him and wondered if the mysterious Egyptian thought him and Sasha were an item. “Sasha, I think the Runes Professor is not pleased with our closeness ...” Jackson asked unsure why the man was so upset with him.
Sasha chuckled as she placed a hand on her husband’s arm. “Tarik, Jackson is like my kid brother,” Sasha said realizing that Tarik’s customs were not like Jackson’s.
Tarik relaxed as he placed his hand out, “Sorry, just protective. Tarik Sadaki and you are Jackson Rozakis. You had her worried!”
Jackson shook the man’s hand as he listened to Greene. He remembered his friend Joseph saying that the Rune’s Professor was an interesting but private man. One-eyed Jackson took a step back as he realized that Joseph was probably not wanting Jackson digging into the man’s activities. The Hit Wizard was now wishing he had not done so as Joseph and Gabriel were not going to like what he found. Jackson looked at Sasha as he thought, “Why is it always my friends that get hurt? Maybe if I just have a private chat with him, Sasha won’t have to have her heart broken?” Jackson hated it when he was right about somebody. Worse was Jackson would have to tell Sasha that Daniel had gotten to somebody that Jackson could clearly see Sasha loved. He would deal with the Medjai later and Jackson hoped Sasha forgave him when he did.
Jackson shook his head. “Well he told nobody at the Ministry it seems. I get back and get told that I need to chat with Dawson,” Jackson said knowing Seth had said a little more than that but with the Medjai and unknown man Jackson was saying as little as possible. Jackson was probably in very hot water as it seemed he had been held two years. He grimaced as he was understood it was only the fact that Seth had known Alwart that Jackson was not on his way to Azkaban. Jackson knew that Alwart was at this moment telling Seth everything they had went through. Jackson prayed that Adal was okay and still alive.
Jackson was furious that this wizard would dare threaten the school. He had been worried about hitting the boy . “Are you daring to threaten this school!”
Jackson was beyond furious as he said, “You can try wizard! Kids Down Now!” With that Jackson said the binding curse...
RICHARD
It occurred to Richard that Jackson might not know Tarik and Sasha were married. He would say something if one of them did not soon, otherwise this meeting was going downhill quickly.
Richard shook his head. "I think we can arrange for you to talk with Brennan where he is." Richard glanced at Cole and received a nod. Cole was willing to take Jackson to his island. It would also be up to Cole on when, under what circumstances and for how long the two men could talk. Brennan was doing better but he still held himself a part for most people because he didn't trust himself.
Cole chuckled still standing with his arms crossed over his chest. If he was reading the man right Jackson was about to try and use his magic. He didn't like the idea the boys were going to be so close. He wasn't sure how steady Jackson was with his magic and spells could always miss their target, although usually not at this close distance. Cole scratched his right shoulder, making sure he held out the three fingers which would tell Darik to be ready and to act if he needed to. By holding out three fingers he was also telling the Elf to protect the boys above anyone else in the room.
Darik looked over at Master Richard who could see him behind the man threatening Master Frank. Darik smiled and nodded.
Richard sat back in his chair. Cole had called Darik into this so no one was going to get seriously hurt. He also saw the three finger signal.
At the same time Jackson was yelling for the boys to get down, Cole was pushing them off to the side. Richard was instantly on his feet and pulling the boys down behind the desk. Cole turned and saw the end of the Hit Wizards wand light up. He didn't move because Darik would take care of making sure the spell did not work.
Darik knew the instant the binding spell words entered the man's brain. He countered it with a little bit of elfin magic. Then he added his own to the feet of the man standing in front of him. When the man started to fall forward, Darik levitated him, face down and waited to see what Master Frank wanted him to do with the man.
Cole straightened back up and stood for a moment. Shaking his head he said, "Bind him in the chair Darik. He is just upset because he has no clue what is happening but still needs to try and prove he can handle the problem."
When Jackson was in the chair, Cole looked around the room. Sasha hadn't moved. Tarik was holding her arm. The boys were getting up off the floor, with Richards assistance. Cole kept his eyes on Sasha and Tarik as he walked and stood in front of Jackson. "It took me two years to find where you were being held. Now I am not normally one to seek gratitude, but I think this time I require a thank you." Cole leaned against the desk, crossed his arms and his ankles waiting.
TARIK
Jackson felt extremely embarrassed. The man was right Jackson had to admit even if just to himself. He looked at Sasha and bowed his head. He watched as the Medjai seemed to be whispering to her.
Tarik was furious but understood his wife's action. He whispered, "Sasha, I love you but your trust issue concerning Frank Cole has become a problem. If Darik trusts that Fixer is here on good intentions then why can't my wife? You need to go and calm down. Let me and Richard handle this mess. We will find out what is so threatening that Frank Cole is risking himself coming here. Honey, I will very soon tell you the truth about Cole but at the moment you being sent false visions thanks to the Dark One, it would be not advisable."
Sasha had been shocked by Jackson's reaction. Her husband was right and she needed to let the four men talk. "Since Alex and Liam seem to have knowledge that is important. They can stay but Luke you and I are going. As soon as the other two are done, send them to their dorms Richard," Sasha said embarrassed that she had caused her husband to make good on his deal with Frank Cole. As she walked out, she glared at Frank Cole.
Tarik smiled as he said, "Darik, I think she took it well.." The Medjai did not believe it for a second. Sasha was going to demand that Tarik tell her just why he trusted Fixer. He was starting to think it was time to see Egypt for a while. Tarik shook his head as he looked at Fixer praying he could soon tell Sasha.
Jackson thought he had heard wrong. Had the man that had Bren just told him that it had been him that had sent the elves. Jackson did not buy it for a moment. Jackson checked his bindings as he said cockily, "Yea and if you expect me to buy that then you are sorely mistaken! Sasha doesn't lie and she hinted you had Brennan! I doubt the person who set the elves that got me and Alwart out of that torture prison would be involved in kidnapping a Hit Wizard!"
Jackson owed the wizard that sent those elves a huge debt. He planned on repaying that debt. Jackson gave a sly grin as he then planned on settling old scores starting with the Medjai that betrayed Joseph's trust in him.
COLE
Luke looked toward Frank Cole. He wanted to stay. He wanted to be included. This man Jackson was important, which meant he was important to the Core. He knew Brennan which meant he was most likely a good person. When Cole nodded toward the door, giving him the signal to leave, Luke hung his head. The strong hand on his shoulder and the words, "we will talk later" had him straightening up and following the Head Mistress out the door. If Frank said they would talk later then they would. It would give him time to check with the others to see what questions he needed to make sure were answered.
Cole sent Luke out and then stepped between the other two boys, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. "You two go and sit over there." He motioned toward a couch in the corner of the office. Cole looked at Darik and then the boys, telling him silently to watch them. He also gave him the signal to have the boys take a small nap until they were needed. He received a nod and a smile in return although Darik did not leave his spot at the back of the chair where Jackson was bound.
Cole stepped up to the side of the desk. "Richard, Jackson here I think needs to be brought up to speed on a few things happening around here. You want to do it or you want me to?"
Richard sat back down in the chair behind the desk and pointed to the other chair for Tarik to take a seat. He scrubbed his face with his hands and then lowered them to the desk, where he folded his arms in front of him. Looking at Jackson he said, "A lot has happened in the two years you have been gone, Hit Wizard. For one thing Sasha and Tarik are married. Two, Sasha is Head Mistress here now, receiving the job when Joseph was killed." The blank stare on Jackson's face told Richard he was hitting home with some of his information. "There is an organization called The Caretaker Group. It contains most of TOW members along with a few others. This group is together to take care of things the government Wizard Ruling Class would not be bothered to dirty their hands with. They are not blocked by a lot of red tape and rules. Don't get me wrong they have their own rules, but they are written as a group effort."
Richard rubbed the back of his neck then continued. "Frank Cole is not officially part of this group, neither is Tarik." Richard glanced at Tarik. A lot of what he would be telling Jackson was going to be new to the man. Sasha was part of the Caretakers as a member, but Tarik had not been brought into a lot of it. The only reason Richard was going to be able to get by with Arianna, the head of the group, was because he was second in command. "Brennan is part of the Caretakers. At the moment he is on Cole's private island, Isle of Perdition, going through some deprogramming, which was imitated by a Scottish Clan of Werewolves. He is perfectly safe where he is. Cole has already agreed to take you to his island and let you talk with Brennan, but Brennan will not be allowed to leave the island until Cole says it is safe for him to do so. This is a Caretaker matter."
"Due to circumstances I cannot take the time to explain at the moment, I will tell you Cole is to be trusted. If he says he sent elves to get you home then he did. If he says there is going to be a problem here at the school then there will be."
"Now I will have Darik release you if you give me your word you will sit and listen. When the explanations are done then you will have the choice of leaving or helping."
JACKSON
“Joseph gone? Sasha married again?”, Jackson thought as his face must have shown the shock he was in. The Hit Wizard at least understood the Medjai’s anger at him. It made it worse what Jackson had to do concerning him. Jackson would wait though as Tarik might not have betrayed the school.
Tarik heard the man’s thoughts and saw what the man believed. He turned to Richard and whispered, “I thought the issue concerning me and Daniel was no longer coming around to hurt Sasha?” He hoped Richard would set the man straight as the Medjai was getting real tired of convincing the Ministry that Amir Tarik Sadaki was not a traitor.
Jackson listened and was getting even more confused. It seemed TOE had joined forces with another group. He looked from Richard to the door. “If TOE and these Caretakers are working as one group Mr. Greene then tell me why Sasha did not fill me in especially when she is the Head of TOE upon the death of Joseph?” He liked the man that Joseph had picked to teach Herbology. Jackson knew his rage at being captured and tortured for two years by Seven goons had him in a real bad attitude.
Jackson gave a sly grin as he thought, “Thanks for telling me where to look.” The Hit Wizard would bide his time and then he would shut this Isle of Perdition down. Jackson would give Sasha a heads up of his plan. Then he would go get his pupil Dawson. He could not understand his failure with Brennan as the boy should have never gotten himself caught. “Neither should I have but I plan on settling that error on my part as soon as I re-educate Bren on what being Head of Hogwarts Security is about and then I plan on reminding the boy of what him being a Hit Wizard means!”, Jackson thought as he acted as if he believed.
Jackson smiled as he nodded. He planned on dealing Cole as soon as he was loose.
Tarik grinned as he said, “Rich, he is too angry to listen right now. I hate handing Fixer, Jackson but at the moment with everything happening...” Tarik paused unsure if he was doing the right thing.
“Maybe a trip is in order?” Tarik asked hoping that Fixer could calm Jackson down later. The Hit Wizard was a loose cannon and two years imprisoned had in Tarik’s mind only made Jackson worse.

COLE
... "The Core is not fighting if that is your idea."...
(Tarik) ..."So Luke, you okay?"
Don't give up on yourself or on us." He received a nod from Liam, although the boys eyes still showed fear and the need to run.
... "One of The Alpha will be staying in his human form. He leads them but has no ring."...
Cole stood up a little straighter for resting against the wall. If the person did not have a ring on he was either not part of the clan or had not been bitten yet and turned.
The man came at her as he changed. Sasha looked at who the wolf had been, one of the men from Diagon Alley but who. She felt herself being dragged to a robed man. The man was smiling as he held her throat. He was calling somebody.
(Tarik) ..."Cole, help her. She can't lose the school. Her visions are never clear."
COLE
... "Explain why you are asking two of my students?".Sasha requested. ...Tarik shrugged his shoulders. This was the kids' secret and not his to tell.
Before the boy could answer the door to the office opened and Jackson walked in looking for Brennan.
... "Jackson! How? Where have you been?" ....

"Jackson. Good to see you back. I'm afraid Brennan is not here at the moment." ...
"Hey Professor Greene. I was sent by the old Auror to have a chat with my pupil and friend about trying to pass up on his new job offer. I trained that Kid so I guess I missed something? So I am here to fix that error," Jackson said.
Jackson smiled as he forgot himself for a moment as he embraced Sasha ...
RICHARD
Sasha interrupted, "Boys we will chat later, my office. For now, return to your dorms..." ... (Tarik) would just have to hope Frank Cole had a plan B.
Cole shook his head no when Luke looked at him for confirmation that they should leave. He knew it would get Sasha mad the boy had checked with him first, but Luke knew he would not have even come here if he didn't have something extremely important to do. When the door opened he knew the odds of getting out of here had just changed.
"Hey Professor Greene. I was sent by the old Auror to have a chat with my pupil and friend about trying to pass up on his new job offer. I trained that Kid so I guess I missed something? So I am here to fix that error,". ... Jackson smiled as he forgot himself for a moment as he embraced Sasha ...
Sasha hugged back then smiled at Fixer as she said, "So maybe you should ask Frank Cole over there where he has Brennan." She knew that Jackson would be all business after her hint.
He narrowed his eyes as he said pulling his wand, "You have to the count of three to tell me exactly where Head of Hogwarts Security Dawson is! Then you can explain exactly who and what you are doing here!"
"You three have business here? If not, Get Your Butts back to your Dorms NOW!"
JACKSON
Cole shook his head no when Luke looked at him for confirmation that they should leave. ...
Sasha was furious that Fixer seemed to have convinced Luke to trust him. Sasha would chat later with the Core. She watched as Tarik just shrugged his shoulders.
Richard just smiled as he watched Jackson hug Sasha. ... "Hello Jackson, glad to see you are alive. "
I'm afraid Brennan is not here at the moment. He needed some time off."
Jackson prayed that Adal was okay and still alive.
... "Do your worst Hit Wizard, but know this, I leave and you remove a lot of protection to this school."
Jackson was furious that this wizard would dare threaten the school. He had been worried about hitting the boy . “Are you daring to threaten this school!”
... "The children stay. Put away your wand Hit Wizard or I will have a friend take it out of your hand." Cole smiled as Darik popped into the room, ...
Jackson was beyond furious as he said, “You can try wizard! Kids Down Now!” With that Jackson said the binding curse...
RICHARD
Sasha was furious that Fixer seemed to have convinced Luke to trust him. Sasha would chat later with the Core. She watched as Tarik just shrugged his shoulders.
It occurred to Richard that Jackson might not know Tarik and Sasha were married. He would say something if one of them did not soon, otherwise this meeting was going downhill quickly.
Jackson shook his head. “Well he told nobody at the Ministry it seems. I get back and get told that I need to chat with Dawson,”
Jackson was furious that this wizard would dare threaten the school. He had been worried about hitting the boy . “Are you daring to threaten this school!”
Jackson was beyond furious as he said, “You can try wizard! Kids Down Now!” With that Jackson said the binding curse...
COLE
"Sasha ... If Darik trusts that Fixer is here on good intentions ... We will find out what is so threatening that Frank Cole is risking himself coming here. ... at the moment you being sent false visions thanks to the Dark One...."
Sasha ..."Since Alex and Liam seem to have knowledge that is important. They can stay but Luke you and I are going. As soon as the other two are done, send them to their dorms Richard," ...
... Tarik shook his head as he looked at Fixer praying he could soon tell Sasha.
Sasha ..."Since Alex and Liam seem to have knowledge that is important. They can stay but Luke you and I are going. As soon as the other two are done, send them to their dorms Richard," ...
... Tarik shook his head as he looked at Fixer praying he could soon tell Sasha.
He received a nod and a smile in return although Darik did not leave his spot at the back of the chair where Jackson was bound.
... "Yea and if you expect me to buy that then you are sorely mistaken! Sasha doesn't lie and she hinted you had Brennan! I doubt the person who set the elves that got me and Alwart out of that torture prison would be involved in kidnapping a Hit Wizard!"
JACKSON
(Cole) .... "Richard, Jackson here I think needs to be brought up to speed on a few things happening around here. You want to do it or you want me to?"
(Richard) ..., "A lot has happened in the two years you have been gone, Hit Wizard. For one thing Sasha and Tarik are married. Two, Sasha is Head Mistress here now, receiving the job when Joseph was killed."
(Richard) ..., "A lot has happened in the two years you have been gone, Hit Wizard. For one thing Sasha and Tarik are married. Two, Sasha is Head Mistress here now, receiving the job when Joseph was killed."
"There is an organization called The Caretaker Group. It contains most of TOE members along with a few others. This group is together to take care of things the government Wizard Ruling Class would not be bothered to dirty their hands with. They are not blocked by a lot of red tape and rules. Don't get me wrong they have their own rules, but they are written as a group effort."
(Richard) ... "Frank Cole is not officially part of this group, neither is Tarik."...
"... Cole is to be trusted. If he says he sent elves to get you home then he did. If he says there is going to be a problem here at the school then there will be.... Now I will have Darik release you if you give me your word you will sit and listen. When the explanations are done then you will have the choice of leaving or helping."
RICHARD
Tarik heard the man’s thoughts and saw what the man believed. He turned to Richard and whispered, “I thought the issue concerning me and Daniel was no longer coming around to hurt Sasha?” He hoped Richard would set the man straight as the Medjai was getting real tired of convincing the Ministry that Amir Tarik Sadaki was not a traitor.
Richard looked at Tarik, feeling angry the man was still having to deal with what everyone thought. Tarik had talked with the head of the Seven, at least the old organization before Denial Marsden died. He had refused to do what Denial had wanted, which was to read the ancient Runes on the man's island. The Runes would have given the dangerous organization too much power in the with Dark magic. Anyone who heard the old story believed Tarik had been a traitor. "I will have a talk with him my friend. It will get straightened out. Sasha knows the whole story so she won't believe any of the old tales.
Richard turned to Jackson.
"Sasha didn't want the job. TOE is still around in a much smaller part. As I said, the members of TOE became members of the Caretakers, at least most of them did. The Caretakers have actually been around longer than TOE. With Sasha's new job of Head Mistress she is content to follow directions from the Head of the Caretakers."
Cole stepped forward and leaned on the desk staring at Jackson. "So Jackson you want to come and visit my Isle of Perdition. I can promise you a very interesting time. You will even be able to see Brennan there, at least a little bit. I will have to decide how the meeting goes to see to what extent you two can interact." Cole didn't wait for an answer, he looked at Darik and said, "Darik please take Jackson to my island. Have the men show him into one of the guest rooms until I get there." Cole held back his chuckle as he thought of what Jackson was going to find when he got to the island. The guestrooms were all locked rooms, comfortable but locked. He would get the rest of his wishes to the men and women on the island as soon as he took care of delivering the rest of the information about the attack.
Darik stepped up and bowed slightly to Master Frank. He smiled, nodded and he and Jackson disappeared. Cole wished he could be there to see the arrival but he would have a full report waiting for him when he returned. The camera's would pick up all the details.
When Darik disappeared, Liam and Alex sat up and stretched. Cole turned to them and said, "Gentlemen if you will join me here then we can get our plans started.
TARIK
Tarik smiled as Darik disappeared with Jackson. He looked at Frank Cole as he said, "No harm better come to him Frank. Both him and Brennan better return to Hogwarts by week's end." He was taking a chance trusting the Hit Wizard in the hands of Fixer, but at the moment he really didn't have a choice.
Liam opened his eyes and looked around the room. He must have fallen asleep or was put to sleep. The only people left in the room were Professor Greene, Frank Cole and Professor Sadaki. An overwhelming sense of being trapped grabbed him.. He pushed himself off the couch and past Alex who was standing beside him. He headed for the door. "I have classes so I will chat later!" He had to get away before his uncle showed up. His back still hurt from the beating he had received from his uncle for disappearing after the shack. Uncle wanted Luke to be brought to the castle soon. The clan was striking tonight instead of during the full moon . Liam cringed as it meant the clan would not be at full power.
COLE
Before Cole could get to Liam, Alex had grabbed him and was holding him by both arms. Cole nodded at Alex and then to the chair where Jackson had just been sitting. "Sit Liam. Your classes can wait. Alex watch his back. He is injured." Cole had picked up on the fact that Damir, Liam's uncle had gotten to him sometime between when he had returned to the school and now. Damir had apparently whipped the boy. Cole concentrated on Liam for a few moments. "Attack.... tonight ... worried about Uncle showing up here at school." Cole nodded to himself.
"Gentlemen it seems the attack is set for tonight. May I suggest we get the children into a secured area, preferably the dungeon so we can get them away. If the attack is happening tonight, which really doesn't make any sense, we will be fighting the werewolves in human form which gives us the advantage."
Cole turned to Alex. "Alex I want you to find the Core members. Tia should be in the medical area at the moment. Tell her to have her group get the other children to the dungeon near the slithering House entrance. If she has any questions have her send Landon or Luke to me and I will explain."
Alex looked at Liam and then at Cole. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to fight. Deep down though he knew the best thing for him to do was help with the safety of the school. "Yes Sir, I will tell them." Alex left the room at a trot.
When the door closed Cole turned back to Richard. "Richard we need the Caretakers. Now!"
Richard removed the marble shaped ball from his pocket and holding it in his palm, mentally activated the device, which would send a message to all of the Caretakers. He knew they wouldn't have long to wait. He nodded to Cole when he was sure the message was sent.
Cole looked at Tarik. Tarik, some of the Professors here at the school have now been notified to get down here. If you would be so kind as to find any you can and explain about getting the children to safety, we would all appreciate it."
Turning back to Liam he said, "It's ok Liam. We will make sure your Uncle gets blamed for us being prepared. That shouldn't be too hard. Now the question is do I keep you with us or take the chance you will try and tell the Clan what is happening."
LIAM
Liam shook as he saw the anger in his cousin Alex's eyes. "It is my fault Alex. Uncle was worried when I was almost three hours late in answering my grandfather's owl. Grandfather wants to talk with Luke but I told my uncle Luke was busy in a different class. Uncle doesn't like being told somebody is busy. He asked where I had been. I got an attitude and said it was none of his business." Liam remembered that it was then that his uncle had pulled out the whip and kept hitting him until Liam promised to have Luke meet him at the shack. Liam cringed. It was either Luke come to the shack or the clan was going to be coming and get the ones promised.
Tarik nodded. Then asked, "What do you mean keep Liam with us? I plan on being at the gate."
COLE
Cole stood up straight and rubbed his chin. "If Damir wants to talk with Luke then he wants to check and make sure Luke is still under his control." Cole looked at the other two men, at the surprise on their faces. "It's ok. I have had Darik block and mental suggestions Damir might have ingrained into the boys head and he has been checked for any chemicals in his body. I don't want him near the man though. That means someone else is going to have to go to the shack. Someone Damir might be interested in turning to his way of thinking. Cole looked back and forth between the two men again. "I was thinking Marco would be a good possibility. I know the clan is interested in him. I know they would love to get control over him. I also know he can be protected from any real harm. If Marco doesn't want to do it then just maybe I will go."
Richard shook his head no. "They had you once before Cole and that didn't turn out so well. It took months for the elves to get you back to anywhere near normal."
"But don't you see Richard that is why it would make sense for me to go. The clan would already consider me a good candidate to take back because they would consider their job half done. Darik can help block and all I will have to do is pretend to do what they want.
Cole glanced at Liam before he answered Tarik. "You may end up at the front gate eventually Tarik, but first you need to help get everyone safe then we can decide where everyone will be stationed. I still have hope of stopping the attack."
Turning to Liam he asked, "So Liam, you know you are not going to the shack. You also know it is going to be a trap of sorts. What do you plan on doing with the information if I let you join the other students? Do I need to restrain you and keep you away from everyone?"
LIAM
Liam cringed, "Marco Spellman? I have to go or uncle will know it is a trap. Uncle does not want Marco anywhere near him or you..." Liam was terrified as he remembered the beating he had received.
He had to think of who on his list he could bring to uncle. ["Star, no Luke would kill me for endangering her. Tia, no Landon would kill me. I have to bring Luke or I could bring..." Liam shook as he knew the Runes professor would go ballistic hearing his twins were also marked as was his grandson Marshall.
Liam was panicky as he realized either way his days were numbered. He could meet his uncle alone. He shook his head as he really did not have a death wish. His uncle would kill him for failing again. He watched as Tarik left and relaxed.
Marco Spellman knocked on the door to the security office. Fixer had been here too long. Marco knocked "Bren, you back? William is looking for Luke. He thought he might be here?"
Marco had known Luke was not there but according to Tarik the boy inside was terrified. He had to show the boy that Captain's plan could work. The boy's uncle would not even know he had tailed the boy. Marco just had to play his part right and he was not known as the Trickster for nothing.
COLE
"It will be alright Liam." Cole put a hand on the boys shoulder and tried to reassure him. Tarik should have gotten the idea to go and find Marco and see if he could help.
When the door opened and Marco stuck his head inside, Cole knew Tarik had been able to talk with him. "Come on in Marco. Luke has returned to his room. If you have a few minutes we could use your help."
Marco came the rest of the way in, walking over to stand by Liam. He put a hand on the boys shoulder. "How you doing Liam?" When the boy did not smile he turned back to Cole. "So what do you need to have done?"
"We need you to go to the shack and make Damir think he can maybe control you." Cole said.
"And how do I do that?"
"We will work on the details on the way to the shack. I will be nearby and so will Richard. I will call Darik back from the island and he can actually be very close to you without Damir or anyone else knowing. "
"I think I can do that."
LIAM
Alex entered behind Marco, "It will work Liam especially with Rub'ik allowing Damir to only read from you want we need him to. Rub'ik was Darik's son and a very capable elf. Now relax." The Shadow Hunter was proud of Liam for at least taking the chance. He looked at his blood brother Rub'ik and smiled as he and Liam left the office.
