Taking The Trouble Outside (invite)
Frank Cole
Cole sat at his normal table in the front corner of Shadow Lounge. Although he was alone at the table three of his troop members sat at a table nearby, looking casual. Two more were out front talking and two were in the alley. He was here to collect Sasha McChey and take her to the island. Marcus Linthux would be brought shortly after her. The man had made it be known he wanted to talk with Sasha, supposedly to catch up on what had been happening since they were school mates. Anyone concerned would know that was a lie. Cole was playing a cat and mouse game with the darker side of Magic. He had to make them believe he was all in favor of Dark Magic's existence and their need to take over more of the Magic World.
Neo and Kat both knew why he was here. They trusted him and knew he would keep Sasha safe. He had Neo send a message to Sasha requesting that she come to the Lounge alone. Time of arrival was about 15 minutes away. Cole would get her to the Port Key down the block, take her to his Isle of Perdition, his private island, and let Linthux have his talk with her. Then he would return her to the school and have her back under the protection of Darik's elves. It should all go off without a hitch, but Cole shook his head at that thought, because it never did. He picked up his glass of wine and took a healthy sip
Neo Spellman
Neo walked up to Fixer thinking of everything that could go wrong with his blood brother's plan. He had sent the Owls to Sasha McChey and to Marcus Linthux as requested, but the rumor circulating was that nobody had seen Sasha in a month. They had even caught Tia away from the school when she tried to get to Gab for advice. Gab had been furious. The girl was almost on house arrest at the moment. They couldn't allow Tia to go wherever she pleased, because several people were looking to get her alone. Neo knew they were all "up a creek without the proverbial paddle if anything happen to Sasha and Gabriel found out.
Neo leaned down behind Fixer's chair and whispered in his ear, "I hope you know what you are doing blood brother? If Gabriel finds out..." It was a full moon luckily, so Gab would not be working tonight. Neo knew that only made this worse because it would add to Gab's anger that he had not been informed of what was happening.
He looked towards his sister Kat. Neo wondered if the favor of getting Sasha to the Shadow Lounge, which Kat was in on, would hurt her friendship with Sasha. He doubted it because Sasha was level headed and Kat had a way of explaining things which made you just want to tell her thank you, no matter how much trouble you got into. He and his brothers knew this from personal experience. Somehow they always readily took the blame for everything. Kat would always fess up, but she was never believed because she had four brothers who went against her.
Kat Spellman
Cole looked at his watch. It was 6:30 pm, mainland time. Sasha should be walking in the door at any moment. Looking at Neo, he said, "Gab is off tonight. I plan on having Sasha back at the school long before he even checks in. I sent a message to Linthux and told him to be here by 7:30 if he wanted to talk with Sasha. I told him he had one chance at this, so he should be here on time. I will take Sasha to the island and be back to get the man before he arrives. I can bring a portable Portkey here in seconds and be gone if need be. Relax Neo, go back to what you were doing." Cole signaled Kat to bring him another glass of wine.
Kat brought the glass of wine over to Mr. Cole. The man had saved her brother's and brought them back together. She trusted him. It was the only reason she had helped to send Sasha the Owl. Kat knew Linthux was looking for Sasha, and she also knew the Isle of Perdition was the safest place for the meeting to take place. Mr. Cole ran the place with an iron fist and everyone in his small army was devoted to him. She set the glass down and turned to her brother. "Neo go back to work before you get in trouble. You are head of security tonight and you know the boss is watching you." She smiled sweetly at him, turned and took double the price of the wine from the galleons sitting in the center of the table. It was a standing rule that was how she determined her tip, double the price of the order. She would also get to keep anything left in the center of the table when Mr. Cole left. Turning she walked away to take care of the rest of her customers.
(OOC: Kat and Cole are both my characters.)
NEO
Neo slightly smiled as he replied, "Kat, the only thing the boss is worried about is me leaving with Cole. I just got back a couple nights ago and boss as you know is not wanting to leave his son in charge. Also I am the Cooler so I am doing my job Little Miss Conartist." He loved Kat and all the boys in the family spoiled her. Neo chuckled as he remembered how she had used the Quints over protectiveness of her to help his blood brother to reconnect the link.
He said slyly, "Still glad Kitty Kat that the link is back?"
Sasha looked around to make sure she had everything in her office where it should be. She had to get to the Shadow Lounge in about ten minutes for an appointment. She had been having nightmare visions of late. Neo had owl-led her because Tia had showed up again outside the Lounge, trying to see if anything was happening. The girl was now on Elf guarded restriction. The Headmistress of Hogwarts Sasha was still unsure of whether she had the ability to govern the school. "Tia is so much like her mother and I think that scares me the most." With that she closed the door behind her to her office and apperated to just down the street from the Shadow Lounge. .
Entering the door Sasha looked to where Neo was and the cringe which traveled her spine made her wonder who he and Kat were talking to. She wondered if she should wait but the two men behind her gave her the feeling that she was heading where he strange man was. She walked toward the table where Kat and Neo stood, as she casually let her wand drop into her hand.
(OOC: Neo and Sasha are both my characters.)
COLE
Kat saw Sasha enter and walked over to her before she could get to the table. She gave her a hug and whispered, "It's all right Sasha." Looking at her friends hand hidden mostly by her robe she noticed the wand. "You can put that away." Kat led Sasha to the table and watched as Mr. Cole stood and bowed slightly. Neo also pulled out a chair for her. She noticed Mr. Cole's slight nod to his men, dismissing them back outside. The two at another table went back to their drinks and their conversation. Kat was not worried because as casual as they appeared she knew they could be lightning fast to jump into any problem. When Mr. Cole first had started stationing the men in the Lounge, and there were always at least two present, she had been frightened, but she quickly learned they were there for her and the boy's protection, along with helping her brother Neo out and even Gab, although he would never admit he needed help.
Cole stood when Sasha was led to the table by Kat. He put a genuine grin on his face and bowed slightly. He motioned to the chair on the inside of the table closest to the wall. It was better to protect her there. Neo pulled out her chair. When she had been seated, Cole sat and told Kat to bring whatever the lady would like to drink or eat. "Thank you for coming Sasha. I promise to make it worth your while."
(OOC: Kat and Cole are both my characters)
SASHA MCCHEY
Sasha shook her as she started to stand saying, "Neo, you said in your owl you had information concerning Linthux. Since it seems your friend is the true writer of the owl he can make an appointment. I am heading back."
Neo shook as he took Sasha's wand and handed it to Cole. He hated tricking Sasha but if Linthux chose the meeting instead of Cole. He hated Linthux almost as much as he hated Shadow. Linthux wanting a chat could only mean trouble Neo realized for Sasha. He just prayed Cole had an idea cause it looked like Sasha was still determined to head back to Hogwarts.
Cole smiled and said, "Please have a seat Sasha. This is about Linthux. The man wants to have a talk with you and he doesn't care if it is here or at the school. I can give you a safe place to talk with him and not have to worry about any tricks he might have up his sleeve. He really doesn't care if he puts the children in harm's way and you know it. Please have a seat."
Sasha shook her head but had not moved to leave or sit down. "I have nothing to say to Marcus. Now return my wand and I will be on my way. Oh I know just what that man is capable of as does Neo."
Neo was afraid of this. He looked at Cole as he said, "I hope you have a plan B cause I can do no more either way Cole. I am already pushing my friendship with her by handing you her wand. I promised you I would not interfere so I will check with the owner but I can neither help you or Sasha. Please Cole, she knows or thinks she does just what Linthux is up to and has no intention of even listening to him." Neo knew that unlike Daniel, Linthux had no qualms about forcing Sasha if she chose to refuse his demands. He had to get protection for Tia, Silvia and Micaki. Neo knew that his blood brother was right Linthux would use the children. He hoped Cole might realize that Linthux might already plan on having a bargaining chip for his chat with Sasha.
(OOC: Sasha and Neo are both my characters. I was given permission by Cole's auther to say what he did.)
FRANK COLE
Cole was done trying to convince Sasha she needed to come with him for her own safety. He had been hoping to just have her walk outside and then the short distance to the Portkey about a block away. Instead he was going to have to use his backup plan. He turned to Kat and pleasantly asked, "Kat could you please bring my special bottle of wine? I want to offer Sasha a drink to show her there are no hard feelings." Turning his best reassuring smile to Sasha he said, "Would you join me in a small drink, Headmistress? I would consider it an honor." He held up his hands and chuckled. He knew she was not going to trust him not to try and poison or drug her. "Since I know you don't trust me, Neo or Kat can pour." Cole turned to Neo and smiled, his eyes daring him to tell Sasha what was planned.
Kat walked up with the bottle of premium wine and placed it on the table. She stepped back knowing what was about to happen. Mr. Cole had explained it to her on how this was the best way to keep her friend safe with that madman looking for her. The reassuring smile Mr. Cole gave her went a long way to stopping her form grabbing her friend and running out the door. Mr. Cole held the bottle out to Sasha. "Please examine the bottle Sasha. It is the best. It is top shelf for a top shelf lady."
(OOC: Kat and Cole are both my characters.)
NEO SPELLMAN
Neo shook his head. The Captain was trying to pull him into the conversation and he had to stay out. Taking a stance with his arms across his chest, he simply said, "Pouring your drinks is not my job. And I already said I am staying out of anything you are working on, Mr. Cole." He punctuated the last two words. No one at the Shadow Lounge needed to know his true connection to the man. They did not need to know he was training on the Isle of Perdition and had earned, through hard work, the rank of Lieutenant. He knew what was about to happen to Sasha and yet had no choice but to stay neutral. He whispered close to Fixer's ear, "Just remember what you promised Tarik. Keep her as safe as you can. Hope you have something planned if Linthux thinks of bringing insurance? Be careful as you are playing with fire with that man."Neo turned and slowly started for the owner of Shadow Lounge who was standing at the bottom of the stairs leading to the second floor.
Sasha looked at the bottle being held out to her. She knew with everyone knowing he was offering it there was most likely no poison in the bottle. Still, he was up to something and she didn't want to play by his rules. Holding out her hand to retrieve the bottle and give it back to Kat, she said, "I don't drink when I am working. Kat. You can take this back as I have no intention of falling ..."
(OOC: Neo and Sasha are both my characters.)
COLE
Cole chuckled as the Shadow Lounge disappeared from around them and he found himself standing on the receiving platform of his island with a stunned Sasha standing beside him. He always had a backup plan, most of the time more than one. All his men knew at the Lounge what was about to happen. The cork to the bottle was sitting in a small basket on the corner of the platform as a beacon. It was the perfect Portkey. The bottle would not be placed in the safe under lock and key. "Welcome to the Isle of Perdition Sasha. This is my private island and only those I have personally invited may enter. If you will follow me, we will get you comfortable. I need to return to the Lounge and retrieve Marcus. He is not going to like coming but he is coming. I promised your husband, Tarik, I would keep you safe. This is the only way I know how too. Marcus is determined to talk with you and he will not stop until he does, so I planned this talk. He thinks you are waiting in a small building just down the street from the Shadow Lounge." Cole held out his hand and made a sweeping movement toward the barracks. He would love to take her to his house. When all this was over he probably would, but he could not control what happened at the house as much as he could at the barracks. Sasha would be safe in the barracks because she would be guarded by any of his forces closely and by the elf's.
SASHA
Sasha shook her head as she asked, "And if I refuse? I have never trusted Marcus even when we were in school. He was three years behind us but followed Daniel's every wish. When the others of Daniel's friends took their records, Linthux was furious when I did not. " Sasha stopped still ashamed of what her visions almost made her do. She had no intention of ever allowing this man to know just how she had almost believed Daniel.
Cole ran his hand through his hair. "Sasha, you are safe here. Linthux will be brought here and have whatever talk he wants with you. Since he is serious about talking with you, he could choose the school." Cole shook his head when he saw she was about to question the man's ability to get on school grounds. "You also know he would be able to get on the school grounds. The children must be protected. I have to go back and get Linthux here. Go with my guards. Oh and magic is not allowed on the island... it is actually being blocked." Cole turned to Jack, Head of Security and said, "This lady is to be treated with all respect. She is free to look around the barracks main areas. Show her where she can get something to eat. If she wishes she can rest in one of the guest rooms which will be kept unlocked until I say otherwise." Cole acknowledged Jack's nod with a nod. He knew Jack also understood a guard would follow her anywhere she went." Turning back to Sasha he said, "I will return in about half an hour. Linthux will also be established in a guest room, but he will not be allowed to roam. You will be allowed to observe him and choose when you talk with him." Cole added a larger smile and another slight bow. "Now please go Headmistress. Jack will make sure you are comfortable."
Sasha walked instead to the platform. This man in her eyes had no idea of just what Linthux was capable of. She smiled as she said, "He wants me to use my gift to find Daniel's killer. Then he plans on using me as he planned to years ago. I have no intention of doing either. Now send me to Hogwarts."
Cole walked up close to her and put his arm around her shoulder, carefully walking her off the platform. "Now Headmistress I want you to know I have done my research. I know why he wants to talk with you, but I have to make sure it is somewhere you will be safe. I have made promises to others to protect you." When they were all the way off the platform, Cole handed her over to Jack carefully, smiled and jumped back onto the platform. He nodded and saluted her as he disappeared. He had to get back to the Shadow Lounge.
Sasha said, "You can tell him..."Just as Fixer disappeared, Sasha finished, "...my answer is no." The man was infuriating. Sasha looked at the man that she was handed off to. "I still am not going anywhere except back to Hogwarts" Sasha needed to talk with Tarik. She was scared for him cause Linthux wanted him almost as bad as he wanted Sasha.
Jack looked at the lady. He shook his head, walked over to the chairs near the command tent and picked one up. He walked back to Sasha, put it down and motioned to it. "I cannot force you to go into the barracks, but I think the Captain would prefer you were not here when he brought his other visitor back. I happen to know the Captain wants you to have time to observe the man, before you are brought together. I can protect you until then. We have a full kitchen. You can have something to drink, maybe a snack and be comfortable." Jack stood up straighter and folded his hands in front of him. "It is of course your choice." Then he stood waiting. The Captain was not going to be happy if she was still here when he returned, but he had not been told to lock her up. Looking around he motioned four men forward with his eyes, to help guard the lady.
Sasha shook her head as she asked, "What is your boss forcing my husband to give him in exchange for protection for me? I don't think well of wizard who blackmail my husband. By the way I am not called Raven for nothing." She had decided to show that she like all Medjai had more skills then just using a wand. Sasha knew to save her husband she would kill Linthux and the man that brought him. "That right my Seer. Protect your husband then join me." Sasha shook her head."No Dark One, You twisted Daniel's gift. You will not twist mine." She was The Raven but it was getting harder to know which visions were true and which were The Dark One playing with her.
Jack backed up. He could not fight the lady. She was to be protected. He motioned all the men to back up as she went into a Karate pose and started lashing out. A large circle of men was gradually forming around here. The circle moved across the yard as she advance hoping to be able to connect. They gave her plenty of room. After about five minutes, Jack said, "Please Headmistress, come into the barracks. We are not going to fight you and I do not have the ability to let you leave the island, without the Captain's say so." All he could do was give her room, hoping eventually she would tire enough to realize the only place to go was into the barracks where they could make her comfortable until the Captain returned.
Jack looked over his shoulder and saw the Head Elf standing on the porch of the barracks. When the Elf nodded he motioned all of the men to divide and leave an opening so Sasha could see the elf. Jack had learned a long time ago that deferring to the elves was usually a very wise choice. They were all brilliant and the Captain had every confidence in them. The elf just stood there though. He was hoping for some local help.
Sasha smiled as she ran to the little elf. "Please I need to get back. You heard him didn't you? I can't be here until I know whether my latest vision is true or a trick. Your kind helped me once before but now I don't know how much longer before he turns me like he did Daniel." Sasha was not even sure when was the last time she really slept without the visions. She had learned that most had been just sick games by the Dark One. She needed Joseph's wisdom and the shielding of Hogwarts. Sasha's eyes glistened with unshed tears as she wondered if she was going insane.
Punta took the Mistress' outstretched hands in his and gently pulled her toward the door. "It is going to be fine Mistress. You will not turn to the Dark Magic. Your heart is too pure. Now follow me and we will make sure you are safe." Punta was able to lead the human female into the barracks and he knew she did not even realize where she was. He continued to hold her hand and tried to radiate the calmness he knew she needed. "Let's go into the dining room and have something to drink. Master Frank will be returning soon and he needs you to help him take care of the human he is bringing back with him." As they entered the dining room, he added, "You are safe here Mistress Sasha... you visions cannot harm you here."

NEO
Neo still did not like this plan. Shaking his head as he watched Linthux slowly sipping a glass of wine at a back table. The man was here to meet Cole, but he was acting like he did not know Cole was sitting at the table in the front of the lounge. The man had the personality of many Neo had dealt with for years, mean and egotistical enough to think no one could hurt him. Neo knew Marcus Linthux was a very intelligent man. He could even be pleasant if he thought that emotion worked best for him. He definitely was more preferable than other members of the Seven who started popping up after everyone thought the organization had been wiped out. Neo never had brought Marcus' s act. The man in Neo's eyes was a snake. Cooler knew that Linthux didn't waste his time with acting harsh or angry with his victims or subordinates, he just carried out his own agenda and moved on.
Neo shook his head once again. Pretending to check to make sure Cole was not making trouble, Neo said, "Captain I wish you would call this off. Marcus should not be under estimated. He's no pushover. Linthux gets what he wants from people ninety-nine percent of the time. When he doesn't get exactly what he wants the person lives only long enough to regret defying Marcus Linthux." Neo knew that he had been put on Marcus' radar. He wondered if that was why Marcus was showing an interest in Kat.
COLE
Cole looked up at Neo. "Don't worry Neo. I know what I'm doing. You just make sure everyone here stays safe. You know you can call on my men if you need them. Now I think it is about time to join the man at his table. Oh, and keep Kat out of here please. Have the bartender bring me some more wine." Cole smiled as Neo nodded and walked away.
Cole didn't like operating where the other person did not think he was in complete control, but he had learned over the years to work around that idea. The best thing for his plan was to let Linthux think he was in control and Cole was doing a job for him. When he got the man to his island then he would find out different. Slowly Cole stood up and walked to the table near the back of the Lounge where Linthux sat. He knew two of his man were nearby in the Lounge, two were in the alley outback and two stood outside the front door. Standing beside the table, he waited for the man to tell him to sit down. Cole bit the inside of his cheek to keep his anger under control.
Marcus smiled and signaled the bartender. Once he was there, "Where is my usual waitress?"
"Sorry Mr. Linthux but the Cooler told her to take the night off. I might be the owner's son but that girl only listens to her brother the Cooler and Gabriel. She doesn't seem to get accepting my offer could make her life a whole lot easier. I thought you might help with convincing her?"
Marcus smiled as he said, "You do know I have plans for that little kitty! Now get her down here or I will just take my business elsewhere."
"No sir please I will get her I promise."
Cole stood with his hands folded in front of him as the bartender scurried away. Marcus was purposely ignoring him and he had to play the game. The bartender could not get Kat to come to the table this he know. Neo would keep her away this he also knew. But Marcus was up to something and Cole had a good idea he was not going to like it and that there was going to be pain involved. His men had been told to stay out of the situation , unless he gave the signal, which wasn't going to happen. No matter what he had to get Marcus to follow him out of the Lounge and down the street about half a block, to the Portkey on the wall of an alley way.
(OOC: This is a combined post by Barbie and Jane. We hope you are enjoying the tread.)
NEO
Neo had heard what was going on at Seth's usual table. It had infuriated him that Marcus Linthux had chosen that table in the back corner of the Lounge. The Cooler knew that Linthux was going to use Kat somehow as the man most likely remembered from talks with Thomas that the Spellman Family and McChey family were extremely close and looked after each other. Neo used the link between the Quints to tell his sister to get to Hogwarts and stay there. His brothers would also, now know where to find her. He smiled as he then did what was expected. He signaled a couple of bouncers just hired that night. As he walked up to the back table he whispered to the Bouncers, "Stay out of this unless I signal you to back me. Time to be nice."
He reached the table and said, "Is this man bothering you sir? I can have him escorted out."
He saw Marcus give a sly smile as the very bouncers he brought with him betrayed him. He was grabbed from behind his arms wrenched to behind his back, as Linthux stood with his wand drawn, waving back and forth between Neo and Fixer.
Neo watched in horror as the one everyone thought was a wimp killed his own father, who was standing at the top of the stairs. The man had dropped where he had been standing. The Cooler hoped his blood brother stuck to the plan as Neo had a feeling Fixer was being tested.
Marcus stood, pushing his chair back with his knees and walked around the table to Neo. He reached out and tested the bonds which were biting into Neo's wrist. "I have the feeling that you have been warning Sasha. Since I have been wanting to talk to you as well I have decided you are going to remain with me for a bit." Marcus reached up and tapped the side of Neo's face hard enough to leave a red mark.
Neo cringed as he heard Marcus turn to the wimp saying, "You don't mind if I borrow your Cooler especially since his sister Kitty Kat is here to keep you company?" Neo bit the inside of his mouth to keep from smiling. Only he and Fixer knew that Kat was no longer anywhere near.
The wimp cracked a grin as he said, "Of course not Sir. In fact I think this will be a lesson to him and her just who is the one they should have listened to."
COLE
Cole had only given the signal to the men inside to tell the men in the back alley to Apparate out and leave the alley clear. When they were outside the point down the alley to another alley about half a block away. He needed to take this to the island, and he also needed to convince Marcus he could still be trusted. Cole started to reach up to rake his hands through his hair, a tell which he couldn't afford to give away now. Instead he fisted his hands at his side and forced himself to stay calm. Using his own link to the elves on the island, a link they had set up, he told them to let his troops know he was bringing unfriendlys, but they were not to interfere. Jack and Tom his two seconds in command were to be waiting at the receiving platform.
"Sasha is in the small building at the front of this alley. There is only one way in and one way out, so we will have to walk to the street." When they were within touching distance of the frame hung on the side of the building, Cole stepped forward, grabbed Marcus and Neo's arms and backed into the metal frame. Within seconds they were standing on the Isle of Perdition. Marcus still had his wand extended, as did the two Bouncers. It wouldn't do them any good though because the island was blocked from the use of magic by the elves. Cole locked eyes with Neo for a second, long enough to shake his head and let the man know he was not supposed to react.
Cole stepped in front of Marcus and said, "Sorry about that, but there were people in the street which did not need to see us. I have brought you too my private island and will have Sasha brought here immediately." He swept his arm toward the Barracks. "Please follow me and we will get you settled. I have an excellent Chef if you are hungry and a wine cellar which holds a very large selection of prized vintages." Cole pointed to Tom. "This man will get you anything you require on the island. After I check in I will join you and if you would like I would be happy to give you a guided tour. The platform only works twice a day," he lied, "and I need to save the other time to get Sasha here, so I am afraid you are here for at least twenty-four hours."
NEO
Marcus smiled at the swiftness of this Fixer. He looked around and said, "So Sasha will be trapped here? Nice! A tour of the island will be welcomed. After of course my chat with my guest here."
He grabbed Neo's throat as he said, "Got any place where I can teach this Cooler that warning Sasha and both avoiding me was not in a certain lady's best interest? Also I have need of finding out a few things from both Neo and Sasha, any ideas? As I told Neo here, I could always send the little kitty to play with shadow." He released Neo's throat only to grab the Cooler in such a way that Neo had no choice but to go to his knees before Linthux. "You will work for me Cooler or you will watch as I order the death of each of those close to you," Lord Linthux began as Neo was forced to look up at him.
"I will start with your pretty little sister's sons! I hope you hold out cause I still need to pay you back for telling Daniel about my interest in forcing Sasha to marry me. You almost cost me my position in the SEVEN! You my little pawn are going to learn what going against my wishes brings you! Then you are going to show your loyalty to me by doing whatever I tell you! Defy me or try and warn Sasha. "
Neo knew that he was about to learn firsthand why people told or did exactly what Marcus Linthux wanted. He tried to shake his head but it only caused more pain to be given. He was in for a world of torture that made him glad his key was locked safely away.
COLE
Cole could see the men around him fighting to stay in control. They weren't used to seeing one of their own on their knees to anyone. Cole knew they would stand down until he gave the orders otherwise. Punta walked up and bowed low. He would also be playing the part of as a subservient elf. "Master Frank, all has been made ready for you."
Cole lightly backhanded the elf and Punta made it look like he had struck him harder. "How dare you talk to me before I have even recognized your existance." Punta cowered and pretended to shake. Cole turned to Jack, "Jennings, take this prisoner to one of the interogation rooms. He is to be placed on the wall. I want him guarded twenty-four seven. One of the other elves can do it, just make sure they understand what will happen to them and their families if the prisoner escapes or dies before we can talk with him."
Jack snapped to attention and said, "Yes, Sir." He motioned two men over and had them grab Neo, dragging him to his feet and away from the platform. Everyone was playing their parts perfectly. Neo appeared to be struggling to being dragged and the men holding his arms were not being gentle.
Cole turned back to Marcus. "We will follow them. First we will stop by my office and have a refreshment and give my men time to hang Neo up and show him some of my favorite hospitality. Don't worry though, he won't be ruffed up too much, at least not where it is visible." Cole added an evil chuckle. He needed to give Jack time to check and make sure Neo was alright and then set the stage. Cole knew he would not be able to block everything which Marcus apparently had in mind for Neo, but he could block some of it or at least give Neo something for pain, by suggesting a drug or two.
(OOC: Punta, Jack and Tom are admin characters)
NEO
Neo pretended to fight as the two men dragged him across the front yard toward the barracks. When they were out of earshot one of the men said, "We have you Sir. Just a few more feet and we can release you." Neo nodded. When they were in the main doors and they had closed, both men steadied him until they were sure he was on his feet and alright. Jack and the guards stepped back and went to attention.
Neo smiled and told them to relax, then motioned down the corridor. Cole and Marcus were slowly headed this way and he had to be in one of the interrogation rooms before they hit the hallway. He choose the one right across from Cole's office. When they were safely inside he sat on the edge of the bed and smiled. "Ok, Jack I figure we have about twenty minutes. This man is real bad news. This is going to hurt." Neo turned to the two guards. "Martins and Jackson, you are dismissed. Let the rest of the troops know they are not to interfere unless the Captain signals. The Captain needs to make this man think he is on his side for now."
Both men snapped to attention, saluted and said "Yes Sir." in unison. Then they left. The information would not take long to travel the whole island. Every man and woman would be watching for the signal. Just before the door closed completely, Mecum one of Cole's specially trained elves walked in. The elf was dressed in clothes which would under normal circumstances denote him as a slave. The five elves on the island were all princes' in their home clans and were respected by all of the troops. They were also in charge of magical security on the island and would be listened too if they gave an order. The Captain trusted them completely.
Mecum smiled and bowed slightly. "It is good to see you again Master Neo."
Neo could tell Jack was not liking this situation. The Cooler shook his head as he said, "We have another problem Jack! One that could cost us dearly!" Neo could not believe that he of all the siblings would forget the countdown. If his brothers could not locate him in half and hour they would start looking. The Shadow lounge would be the first place they would look. All of them knew who the Captain's men were and would be insisting on coming to the island to check to see if their brother was there. Neo knew they couldn't come without Cole's permission, but his brothers had a way of making sure they got what they wanted. He was going to have to get word to them somehow. He cringed as he realized that it most likely began as soon as Kat got to the school.
He was still trying to figure out just how Marcus had found out he had been the one that had told Daniel to get Marcus to back off Sasha or he was going to the Headmaster. Neo had never known what Marcus had been trying but he had seen Sasha go within herself and almost leave school.
Mecum walked up to close to Neo and place two fingers on his temple. The elf closed his eyes and Neo almost slumped forward off the bed. His breath became shallow for a few heartbeats then evened out. The elf had realized he was in pain and had taken it away. "Thank you Mecum. At least for a little while I will not hurt, but I think, my friend pain is coming and not you or Cole can stop it." Mecum just shook his head and bowed low.
Jack watched and listened. He ran both his hands through his hair and then down his face. "Sir, we have to play this out like the Captain wants. He knows how he wants this to go. You know he could order me or Tom to use our expertise on you. It makes me sick to think I can't stop it. The Captain is going to be a bear when this is done, because he is going to be forced to act against everything he believes. I will have both Artkee and Tarka close."
Neo shook his head as he said, "Jack I am not worried about that as much as a certain coward sending my brothers to their deaths. That wimp murdered his own father and plans on forcing Kat into who knows what. He would not think twice about sending Marco, Leo or Frankie to Shadow or worse here. Marcus hates Marco. He also knows about the link and my addiction."
"I will check with the Captain as soon as I can. Until then I will send news to the men at the Lounge to tell your brothers you are safe and will get back to them shortly. I know, Sir, it won't do much good, but it might buy the Captain some time to get you home." Just then they heard a small chime. "That was the Captains signal we have about five minutes. I need to get you up on the wall Sir. I promise we will get you some relief as soon as we can." Jack hung his head. "Please forgive us Sir." Jack took a step back to allow Neo to walk to the wall where he would be manacled in a spread Eagle. "Would you prefer to face the wall or look out, Sir? The Captain did not say which he preferred."
Neo shook his head as he said, "Jack, did you forget I won't be the only one feeling what will happen? The link is active. How is Sasha doing? We need the elves to insure my siblings don't feel this. Also we need to protect the school. Linthux is planning something or he would not have let on that he had once tried to force Sasha into marriage. We need to find out if he is gunning for Tarik or Tia possibly both."
Mecum walked over to Master Neo and placed his hand on the back of the human's neck. He closed his eyes. When he opened them he nodded, "The link is closed with you for a short time period Master Neo. Your brothers and sister will think you are just sitting in a chair in a room somewhere, which they will be unable to locate because you are on the island. I would take away most of the pain, but the man with Master Frank would be able to feel the lack of the pain. I will do what I can when I can though." Mecum bowed and went to the corner on the front wall next to the large screen monitor. He materialized and air-chair and sat on it cross legged.
Neo walked to the wall as he said, "Fixer is coming let's do this. Oh and Jack, the wimp pays dearly for his father's murder! Understand?"
Jack nodded as he motioned for Neo to remove his shirt then proceeded to place Neo on the wall. He let him face out. Jack shackled his arms to the wall and then his ankles. Neo was spread eagle. "I will do what I can Neo. Sasha is safe at the moment. She is in one of the guest apartments and doesn't even know you are here. Messages have been sent to Darik. Jack looked at Mecum and received a nod of agreement. When this is done we will fix you up and find out what else the Captain needs." Jack put his hand on Neo's shoulder. "I am sorry Sir." Stepping back a few feet, he went to attention as the handle on the door jiggled.
(OOC: Jack and Mecum the elf are both admin characters.)
COLE
Cole had given Neo as much time as he dared. He had taken Marcus to his office and given him wine and used the time to discuss what the man might have planned for Neo. The only thing he had learned definitely was he wanted to make Neo hurt badly. He wanted control over Neo, which was not going to happen.
Marcus was getting antsy and wanting to get to the man. He had felt when one of the elves broke the link. As far as any of the Quints would know Neo was being held in a room somewhere which could not be pinpointed. Cole reluctantly led Marcus to the interrogation room across the hall. Opening the door he let the man proceed him into the room. Jack was standing at attention and Neo was spread eagle on the wall, facing out. Cole tried to send him a weak smile behind Marcus' back. He was not looking forward to this.
Cole directed Marcus to a chair across the table from where Neo hung. Cole walked up to Neo and slapped his face two times hard, playing the part Marcus would expect. Sometimes his job really bit. "So Neo, it seems Marcus would like to have a conversation with you before we talk with the beautiful Sasha. You ready?" Cole stepped off to the side, crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back against the wall about two feet from where Neo hung. It would allow him to watch Marcus and still keep an eye on his friend.
Marcus James Linthux
Neo gave Marcus a sly grin as he said, "You should have looked at my boss' well before saying the wimp would ever be my boss! As for Sasha..." He needed to find out if Linthux saw Tarik and Sasha's marriage a threat to his plans. "She is happily married so Stay Away from her or her husband will have your head!"
Marcus heard the Cooler's words and exploded. He hit Neo hard in the stomach and grabbed a handful of his hair and yanked his head back as he furiously said, "She is Mine! You will tell me who this dead man is! Then you will kill him in front of her!" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a needle. Marcus had learned while he was still attending Hogwarts that Neo was addicted to a certain drug. He had talked Daniel into getting a sample. He then spent years tweaking it.
He turned Neo's head hard to face him as he plunged the needle into Neo's neck. As the drug started to work, Neo jerked violently. He said laughing, "This is my own special blend Neo. The shakes will end shortly then the real pain will begin. You see I wanted a drug that would make my victims beg for me to end their pain. By the time I allow your pain to stop, I will have all your secrets. You are mine Neo Spellman!"
Neo shook violently. Through clenched teeth he said, "Not in a million years Marcus! Neither is Sasha!" He was glad that his siblings could not feel what he was going through. He wanted the pain that was everywhere to just stop. Neo could not allow himself to summit to Linthux.
Marcus looked at the elf and at the ceiling, "I want him hanging from the ceiling by his wrists! Now Elf! And don't bind his legs. Then soak him!"
He turned to Fixer, "Got an electric whip?"
COLE
Cole had schooled his face. Slowly he stood up, glancing at Neo. Mecum looked at him for confirmation and he nodded. He had no choice. Neo would survive. He needed the connection to the Seven for the future. Neo knew a little of the plans but not all of them. Hopefully he would understand when all of this was over. Until then he could do nothing for his blood brother.
Mecum jumped down from the air-chair and walked to the middle of the empty space between the door and the table. Raising his hand up, caused a small door in the ceiling to slide open and a large hook dropped down. Neo would be almost on his toes, but it was as low as the hook would go. Mecum walked over to Neo, put his hand on the human's chest, and magically undid the shackles. The hand kept Neo from falling to the floor. Mecum motioned Jack forward and watched as a set of handcuff with a short chain in-between them was fastened on Neo wrist. Mecum took the time to try and counteract some of the reactions to whatever drug had been given the human. Without knowing exactly what it was he was only guessing.
Jack lifted Neo up and clipped the chain of his cuffs over the hook from the ceiling. He winced when he realized the Lieutenant was going to be almost on his toes. Jack stepped back, making his face hard and as expressionless as possible. His anger was growing but he would follow the Captains orders. He watched helplessly as Mecum but a large tub under Neo's feet, noticing that the inside of the bucket was thick in the middle. Neo would be able to stand, barely, but on his flat feet. Mecum walked over to the sink and filled a gallon jug with water and dumped it over Master Neo's head, then stepped back and bowed to Master Frank.
Cole pushed two buttons on the remote control on the table and said, "Tom, report." then he walked over to a cabinet on the back wall, put in the code needed to open it and pulled out a whip. The grip on the whip was longer than normal, because he held a small battery pack which charged the monstrosity. As he walked back to the center of the room, where Neo hung, Tom walked in the door and stood at attention, his eyes questioning Cole. Cole saw the man swallow hard several times as he took in the device in Cole's hands and how Neo was strung up.
Linthux
Marcus smiled as he saw how Neo was even more at his mercy. It had not been easy waiting to have his pet back under his control. He went over to the now drenched Neo. The man's feet hung over a low bucket to catch the water from his body. The drug and the water would insure Neo would feel the whip as if his body was on extreme fire. He said, as he pushed Neo causing him to swing slightly. "My friend Neo, how are you feeling? Feel like telling me about the owner's will? If not, I think Mister Fixer here is going to use some of the specialties of his little army to help convince you that you should tell me anything I want."
Neo had been praying Marcus had mellowed over the last few years, but as the pain shot through his body from even the slight touch Marcus had given him to make him swing, the Cooler knew that the years had only made the man worse. He shook his head only to scream again as the drug made each shake of the head feel like his head was being torn in ten different directions. He concentrated on breathing, but even that hurt.
Marcus smiled walking over to sit in his chair. "Fixer, you can now show me what your men are capable of. I want all his secrets then I want him. If you think he needs another shot, I got more."
COLE
Cole nodded and walked up close to Tom. Whispering in the man's ear he said, "You have to do this Tom. I know it is hard, but we have to make the man think we are on his side. The electric current is set to the lowest setting although it is registering higher. You can do this." Stepping back he said in a louder voice, "Mathews, you will use your expertise and help this man learn that he must answer questions." Cole stepped over to the table, turned the chair closest to the wall with the shackles on it and straddled it. He folded his arms on the table and leaned in, trying to look as relaxed as he could.
Tom tried to take a deep breath without looking like it. he took the whip from the Captain and shaking it out. Slowly he walked up to Neo and ran grabbed the man's neck under his chin. He pulled Neo's face down so their faces were only inches apart. Loudly he said, making it look like he was squeezing Neo's jaw, "This could be so much easier if you just answered the Captains questions." Quietly he whispered, "You need to hold very still please. I will try and not connect hard, but you have to stay still. Understand?" He received two blinks from Neo, telling him the Lieutenant understood his instructions. Stepping casually back, silently measuring the distance, Tom snaked the whip across the floor a few times, then let the tip fly. It barely kissed Neo's skin and he hoped the scream Neo let out was partially for show. Tom let three more tips fly toward his target. The Lieutenant was holding as still as he could. Tom held back the tears and buried his emotions deep. He stepped back and looked toward the Captain for further instructions.
Neo saw Sasha before she said anything. Just as he heard her yell, "Stop you are killing..." He saw Marcus grab Sasha.
He watched as Marcus pulled Sasha over to where he had been by her hair.
Marcus whispered in Sasha's ear, "You want me to spare him. Then give me Daniel's killer. Cause if you don't I will order Fixer to not only continue until Neo is within an inch of life but I will have both your cousin Gabriel and the young princess locked in a room together! Now sit on the floor next in front of me. Your mine Sasha and it is time you learn how to be a good pet."
As Sasha was forced to sit at Marcus' feet, Neo heard Marcus tell Fixer to bring a new collar and chain for his pet Seer! He saw that Marcus now had Sasha by the back of her neck.
Cole watched as Neo's eyes shot toward the door then toward where Marcus stood near the bed. He was watching something but there was nothing happening. Tom was standing back, Marcus hadn't moved. "Neo what are you seeing?"
Neo screamed, "Please Fixer Don't let him hurt her!"
Cole looked over to Mecum who signed that Neo was seeing Sasha. Cole pushed himself out of his chair and walked over to Neo. Taking his head in his hands he said, "Neo, Sasha is not in the room. She is not here. Neo." Cole was shoved away as Marcus took his place. "The man is lying to you Cooler. Sasha is right here. If you don't tell me what I want to know then I will make sure she feels every bit of your pain."
Cole had stood in shock for a moment, when Marcus had pushed him. Not many people had been so brave and no one on his island would be stupid enough to push him unless he had given permission. He stared at the man. Marcus was going to use Neo's hallucinations for his own gain. Cole swallowed hard and with his hand low signaled Mecum and Tom to both stand down. Cole signaled Mecum to knock Neo out. Seconds later Neo hung by his hands, his head dropped forward. He was not moving. Only the rise and fall of his chest showed he was still alive.
(OOC: Tom is an admin character. Neo's part is not really happening, but I did get permission to include him in the scene.)
Linthux
Marcus was furious as he stomped toward where Neo hung. The drug had gotten Neo to a point where the man would have done anything Marcus wanted. "I had him! Neo was Mine! Wake him and bring me Sasha and the young princess. Sasha will join me or watch the drug be tested on her niece. Unless you have a better way?" Marcus was happy about the testing of his new drug so far.
"Mecum see if you can wake the man," Cole said sending a silent message to the elf to not wake Master Neo up. The elf walked forward and held out his hand, fingers spread. To any human it would look like he was attempting to wake Neo, but instead he was removing as much of the pain from the man as possible and making sure he would sleep longer. Mecum turned and said, "I am sorry Master Frank, the human has had a reaction to the medicine which cannot be reversed. My best estimate is that he will be unconscious for at least twelve human hours possibly more."
Marcus was still furious. This hired hand would never have dared talk like he was if all of the Original Seven and it was infuriating Marcus that he seemed to be the only one left. "I want Lord Marsden's Murderer! Sasha knows and I will not stop showing her just how many friends I will go through to get her to reveal what her visions show! Now you dare tell me I one of the Original Seven must ease up so you don't lose your Sources! You want to impress the Seven then impress ME! I want Sasha to realize I will unlike Daniel use her young niece Tia. If you have a way to get Sasha to reveal what she knows then Impress Me by getting it? If not then wake him up or bring me Tia Andreas, your choice Fixer!" Linthux said wondering just what Daniel had thought of this man.
(OOC: I have permission to say what Cole said and did.}
COLE
Cole walked over to the table and straddled his chair. Folding his arms on the table to stared at Marcus. He was the last of the organization which had called themselves the Seven to be alive, but Cole was still researching how many followers this man had throughout the magical world. He had found a small cell of about eight men and women who seemed to think Marcus could do no wrong. Each one of the members was under investigation and Cole was working on getting one of his own men into the group. "I am not worrying about impressing you Marcus. When I have worked for you long enough you will be impressed without me doing something which could tear apart my organization. You want information then I must protect where I get that information for you, or it will dry up. I do not have the option of working from a hidden spot to get what I need. I am out in the world where people tell me things whether they realize it or not. You are going to talk with Sasha, but this is my island and things are done here as I permit, no one else. The children are not allowed on my island. They are being protected by many different people." Cole was not about to tell him, several of the people were his own men and women. "If something happens to any of them, you will never get any information because my sources and possibly yours will dry up quickly." Cole would definitely make sure Marcus' sources dried up. "Neo cannot be woken so what do you say we talk with Sasha?"
Linthux
Marcus was still furious but this man had unknowingly earned the new Seven Organization leader's respect. This mercenary, Frank Cole, was showing a side of himself that reminded Marcus of Daniel Marsden, the original leader of the Seven. Marcus had admired the way Daniel never backed down. Marcus looked at the man as he said, "One day I will chat with the princess with or without you bringing her to me. For now Fixer I would rather get my answers from adults so..." He thought for a minute of how to get another that he wished to talk with brought to the island. He smiled as he asked, "Should Sasha be difficult in giving answers could your people get another adult that she cares for?" He wanted desperately to find out what the Medjai had agreed to. Marcus knew only that the Medjai had backed out of his agreement with Daniel and that had in turn cause Daniel to visit the young princess.
Marcus wondered if the Medjai might have caused Daniel's death. It was still not clear by who's hand he had actually died. Marcus knew the leader was dead before the main dojo had been blown up and the other six islands had been over run. He was still collecting the equipment, information and people who had been scattered because of that maneuver by the Department. "How are your people at handling Medjai? There is one at the school that is in violation of a pack between himself and the Seven! I want to have a chat with him about breaking one's word to the Seven."
COLE
Cole steepled his fingers in front of him, never loosing eye contact with Marcus. "I think that could possibly be arranged. I have a stranding agreement with Tarik that if I ask him to come he will unless he is in class or taking care of one of the children. The man thinks he can use me for information, and I give him a little here and there to keep the ruse up." Cole and Tarik, where not good friends, had a friendship understanding and were helping each other. Marcus did not have to know that. Cole looked back up to where Neo was still hanging from the ceiling. Pointing to Mecum he said, "Take the human down and lay him on the bed. I want him watched."
Turning to Tom he said, "You may return to your duties. Assign someone to the outside door as a guard. If anything happens to this man, you will be held personally responsible. You know what that means." Cole bit the inside of his cheek to hide the smile threatening to fold up the corners of his mouth. Tom stood there and had somehow made himself turn pale. The man knew there would be no punishment because Cole had a plan. Tom snapped to attention, and crisply said, "Yes Sir, I fully understand Sir."
"Dismissed." Tom pivoted on his toes and left the room. "Now Marcus if you will follow me we will see how Sasha is doing. She is in one of the guestrooms at the moment."
Marcus smiled as he walked over to the now prone man. He tapped the man a few times on his chest as he said, "I am not finished with you yet Neo Spellman, but for now I am going to have my chat with Sasha. Maybe she can save you from some more pain. Be assured though you are still mine and you will be leaving with me. You rest because when I get word you are awake, we will continue our discussion on your future."
He followed Fixer out the door and down the hall, making sure he looked back to see a man standing at attention outside of Neo's room. He wondered if he should have had Shadow research this man in front of him first. "Lead the way Fixer, but Neo doesn't leave even after he wakes!"
Cole had caught the elves eyes and when Mecum nodded acknowledging he had received Coles silent plans, Cole headed for the door. Sasha could take care of herself under most circumstances. She was nicknamed the Raven in the Caretaker Group for a reason. But on his island only the elves could use magic. Cole had elfin blood in his veins so he could over ride the block against others using it and do magic himself, but he always tried to abide by the rules he had set forth. Besides it was interesting trying to do things the Muggle way. When his troops were forced to visit the Muggle world, they needed to be able to navigate some of the problems which arose. Problems they would solve, normally with a spell or flick of their wand. Cole was not so sure Sasha could protect herself when she couldn't use magic, so he wanted Marcus' visit with her to be as short as possible.
Tarik also had elfin blood, but the elves on his island could block his magic. Tarik could handle himself physically though. The man could hold his cool and usually did not get flustered. Cole was looking forward to pitting the two men against each other.
When they arrived at the door to the guest room, Cole knocked but did not wait for an answer. Punta was the elf keeping her company, and the elf would have known they were arriving at the door before they were within ten feet of it.
(OOC: I had permission to say what Marcus did.)
SASHA
Sasha had been seeing visions that really had her worried. Neo needed to be warned as did her husband though Sasha had to get out of the room that Punta had brought her to. She looked at the elf as she opened the door saying, "If I am not a prisoner then I am leaving?" Sasha started to walk out the door.
Sasha remembered what she had done to the men that thought she would quietly go to a room. She had told the man who was put in charge of her that she intended to return to Hogwarts. The man and his men had other ideas. She once again looked at the elf as she said, "If it had not been for you my little friend, I would be already warning both my husband and my friend Neo. Your master tells me I am safe but at what cost? I will not allow my visions to come true so I have to leave or your master is going to learn firsthand why I am called Raven. If he brings Marcus tell them both to find me if they dare!"
With that she shut the door behind her. Sasha had seen a cave in her vision of Tarik coming. She smiled as she realized that she had her exit. Grabbing a few branches and other items around she made herself a bow and arrows as she went towards the cave from her vision. Sasha just hoped she was in time to save Tarik from the trap set for him.
COLE
Sasha shook her head as she stared out the window. She had no intention of showing that she was again seeing something in the future. This time it had to do with the man who ran the island and her niece Tia. If her vision was true then she had Fixer pegged wrong. The vision showed the man warning Marco of a coming attack on the school. Linthux had gotten tired of Franco and Cole's stalling when it came to encourage Tia to join the Seven. He had used Ash and a vampire to gain entry into the school. He wanted the Core and had chosen to take the school as a way to convince the Core members to come to him. Sasha was as still as a statue as she watched just what had become of Ashley Wright. The young girl seemed to be just a puppet of her vampire master. Sasha thought of leaving the room though the window but something kept her in the room. She continued to look out as if hoping to see Tarik and showing her the vision to be a false alarm.
Cole didn't knock as he walked into the comfortable guest apartment. Sasha had not wanted to stay in the dining room, so he had a meal delivered to this guest room. By the look of what was still on the table she had not eaten much. He watched her, watch him as he walked over to the small refrigerator and took out a bottled sweet tea. Then he sat in one of the four captain style chairs, opened the bottle and took a healthy swig. It was time to clue the lady in on what was about to happen. She was not going to be happy, but it was one of the very few ways he had of keeping her safe. Another way was being fulfilled as they sat here. Cole had requested ]/i] that Tarik come to the island. Knowing the man would think it was a trap, he had also arranged for the Madjai to think there was a way to rescue Neo. The person was supposedly setting up a way for Tarik to come, get Neo and then get out without having problems with security. Tarik would still be leery, but Cole was running the scenario as he would have done the job, so there were no flaws to the plan.... other than it being a set up. If everything went according to plan, Tarik would be on the island in about two hours. That would give him enough time to talk with Sasha and let Marcus talk with her also.

Cole opened the door, ushered Marcus in and quickly took in the empty room. Snapping his head toward Punta he asked, "Where is she?" The elf pointed out the door. Cole groaned and raked his hands through his hair. Turning to Marcus he said, "Follow if you want, but I'm going to be moving fast. If you can't keep up one of my men will bring you back here." With that he headed out the door. Yelling orders to anyone he passed. He didn't wait to see if the orders were followed or not, because there was no question in his mind that they were followed immediately.
Cole didn't even check to see if Marcus was behind him. If he was fine, his men would watch his back; if the man stayed in the barracks it would be fine also, a guard would be automatically put on him. He would probably be put in one of the guest rooms under lock and key. Either way Cole was not going to wait. Reaching the outside he found his select guard waiting for orders, the IT specialist with laptop in hand, a little blip showing where Sasha was and where she was going and his stun gun. Cole took off running for the forest, knowing he had everyone in tow. The woman was going to be a problem, at least for a little while.
Sasha reached the cave with little trouble, just a few scrapes on her arms from the underbrush. The long slacks she wore protected her legs. She had traveled through the dense wood area, staying off the couple of possible trails she had seen. By her best estimation she had traveled a couple of miles. She entered the dark cave carefully with her bow drawn, arrow notched. The front part of the cave was empty but the dead campfire surrounded by rocks showed signs the cave had been used as a shelter. She quietly started toward the back where there appeared to be a passage. Listening carefully all she could hear was water dripping somewhere deeper in the cave and a whistling wind. The whistling meant there had to be some type of opening at the other end. Her vision of Neo being given a shot by her own husband had taken place in this cave. There were a few pictures drawn on the walls and they had appeared in the vision. Fixer had been talking to Tarik but for some reason Sasha could not understand the words of either men. Neo had been lying at their feet.
She took a deep breath, shook her head and said to herself, "If I have to I will drop the man before my husband is ever forced to go against his heart." Finding a torch and some flint she gave herself a little light to travel by. She held the lite torch in front of her, in one hand and her notched bow in the other. Slowly she headed into the passage.
Cole got to the edge of the cave and stood listening. He looked to see who had followed him and chuckled when he couldn't locate Marcus. Raising one eyebrow to this men he was told the man had stayed back at the barracks. He was also assured the man was surrounded and headed back into the barracks. Cole just nodded and turned back toward the cave. After a moment he heard a couple of stones moving. Sasha was probably about a third of the way through the passage which came out on a small sandy beach in a landing cove. It was one of the few places you could get on the island without using the Portkey pad. It was always guarded from the cliff above the entrance. The physical entry on the outside was also rigged to let security know how many people had entered. It let security know if they needed to trap the people in the cave until they could get to them. Cole motioned for two men to stand at the entrance, and the other four to follow him. He also silently told them Sasha was not to be hurt. The put on their night vision goggles and headed into the cave. Twenty-five feet in and they saw the glow of her torch, just around the corner and moving away. Cole wondered if he should scare her or just follow and let her get to the other end. He decided to follow. She only had another twenty-five feet or so to go and he would much rather see her in the daylight. A few minutes later, Cole stood in the exit to the cave, on the beach. Peering around the corner of the rock facing, he saw Sasha, just standing there looking around. She had realized there was a straight up cliff surrounding three sides of her and the ocean was in front of her, a five foot stretch of sand the only thing separating her from getting wet. She had a homemade bow in her hand. Cole chuckled to himself. "Good going Sasha, very nice". As he stepped out an arrow bounced off the wall about two feet away from his head. "That wasn't a very nice greeting Sasha. Care to put down the bow?" Cole stood there with his hands on his hips. His four men casually stood behind him chuckling.
Sasha shook her head as she said as she notched the next arrow, "Then send me back to Hogwarts! Second don't even think about trying and capture Tarik or Neo. The next arrow won't miss." She started shaking as another vision came. Tarik was lying on the ground with an arrow through his shoulder. Fixer was standing over him staring at him. Sasha couldn't move. She couldn't help her husband. Men were standing around but no one was helping Tarik as he reached out to her before falling back unconscious. Sasha came out of the vision just as Fixer started to move toward her. She quickly notched another arrow and brought the bow up. The arrow slipped out of her hands and flew barely missing the advancing man. "No, you are not going to kill my husband. I will take you down before you can lay hands on him." Sasha fought. Normally she could take this man out quickly, but he grabbed her, spun her around, wrapped one arm around her waist and the other around her chest pinning her arms to her body. She continued to fight, but even her legs were pinned between his. The fight melted out of her as she gave into the frustration. She dropped the bow and fought to not let the tears in her eyes fall. She felt the tight banned hold on her body slowly loosen. She didn't start to fight again. There was nowhere for her to go. She couldn't swim to any other island. In the small part of the ocean she could see, there was no other land in sight. She couldn't climb the cliffs, they went straight up. When she looked to the top, someone waved down at her. She was trapped. She was going to be returned to the barracks. Hopefully Fixer would not kill her or use her against her husband or someone at the school. She shivered when the thought of one of the children being dragged into this, floated through her brain.
Cole gradually loosened his grip. She had relaxed. He saw her look up to the top of the cliff where whoever was on duty, signaled he had eyes on them. The audible sign she realized, saddened him. She had given up at least for the present. "Come on Sasha, let's get you back to the barracks. We will get you something cold to drink and maybe a snack before we continue with the day. By the way, your little run across my island was very well done. You should be proud of yourself. I have had new recruits get lost when they didn't follow the trails." That was a true statement. By the time the recruit made specialist rank they could cross the island blind-folded. He knew he had seen it done... he had done it himself, because he never asked the members of his army to do something he couldn't do. Cole motioned toward the entry to the tunnel. Two men started through first, both with lights, Sasha followed, followed by Cole and then the two other men. Cole stayed close in case the lady tripped. Tarik was a lucky man to have such a strong and gutsy woman as his partner and wife. It only took them about ten minutes to make the trip back to the island side entrance. There was a jeep waiting. Cole smiled. His men were right on target. He decided not to tell Sasha that Marcus was waiting at the barracks. He wanted to get her cooled off and relaxed before he took her there.
As they pulled up to the barracks entry. Cole helped Sasha out of the jeep. Tom whispered in his ear that the "other guest was in a room and was not coming out for a bit." Cole nodded and led Sasha to the dining room where he sat her down and put a large glass of sweet tea in front of her. "Drink Sasha. Then we will talk."
As soon as Tarik was corralled, Sasha and Neo would both be sent home. If Marcus didn't like it he could take his business somewhere else and Cole would find another way into the growing Seven organization. Crossing one knee over the other, he put his drink down on the table and steepled his fingers, "I wish you would have eaten Sasha. It is going to be a while before I can get you more food. First off, I promise you I would warn the school. In fact I will prevent any attack you may think is coming. The children come first in all of this mess. Second, Marcus is on the island and he wants to talk with you."
Sasha was stun as she said almost absent mindlessly, "You do know Frank Cole, your warning comes too late. Marcus will somehow get a hold of a young girl who's twin is apart of the Core. The girl will obey her master and open a way into Hogwarts. How do we ever think we can stop vampires and the Seven? The girl's master turns Ash right in front of her twin then orders her to feed on her twin's girlfriend. I wish I could stop the vision but after my failure today..." Sasha shook her head as she remembered what her failure was about to cost her. She turned to face the man as she said, "Only the Magi ever stood a chance against the power and strength of the vampire clans. The only true Magi left is my husband and thanks to my failure he will die in the very cave you and me fought. That is only after he injects Neo with something that has him lifeless at your's and Tarik's feet. Marcus wants Tarik to fulfill his promise to Daniel then he plans on slowly killing him as a warning to others that dare to think of rethinking any promises made to a member of the Seven." She cringed as her wondered if she would have to agree to Marcus' offer in exchange for Tarik's life.
"Sit Sasha, please." As the lady reluctantly sat, he continued, "We don't have much time and I need to try and convince you of a few things. First, you didn't fail today. Your visions are warnings, as I am sure a certain elf has tried to tell you before. The future can be changed. It often is when a person chooses a different path to follow because of something which has happened." Cole uncrossed his legs and folded his arms on the table in front of him. Leaning forward, he said, "When the Seven were strong, before Marsden died, it was probably true only the Magi could control the Seven and the Vampire world if they combined. The times are different now. There are things and people moving behind the scenes which you have no clue of. Marcus is not as strong as you think. Oh, he is trying to make everyone think he is all powerful, but he is no Daniel. He can be controlled in a way, which I am unable to talk about at the present time. He can still cause a lot of trouble and we are still learning of those he has hood winked into following him but he is not strong enough to hold things together if we can get them to start fracturing around him. His downfall is not going to be soon, but it is coming."
Cole ran his hands through his hair and placed them back on the table. "Tarik is still in danger, because he made promises to the original Seven. Marcus plans on holding him too those promises, and will go after Tarik or those he loves at every possibility." Cole was not sure he should tell Sasha his plan of having Tarik, pretend to give into Marcus. He was not sure he could get the Magi to agree to giving any information to the Seven, even if it was only miniscule bits and pieces. Cole was going to have to make Tarik more afraid of him then the man was of the Seven. "I will tell you I plan on protecting Tarik, one way or another, whether he wants it or not."
Sasha cringed as she said, "Tarik don't lie so if he said his agreement was with just Daniel then the agreement died with Daniel." Sasha was worried and chose to voice her concerns. As she slowly sat down Sasha asked, "what did my protection cost my husband? Please don't do what Daniel did?"
Punta, who had been resting in the corner, sharply looked up. Cole asked, "Problem?"
The elf nodded and said, "Master Frank, your other guest is getting tired of waiting. He is requesting in a very loud voice to see you and Mistress Sasha." Cole raked his hands through his hair and stood. "Well it is about time to get the two of you together. I have other things to do this afternoon and I need to find out if you two can come to any rational agreement." Cole signaled the elf to have Marcus brought to Sasha's room.
(OOC: I have permission to say what Sasha did in this post.)
MARCUS
Marcus had had enough. The elf just sat in the corner of one of its air-chairs and stared straight ahead. Marcus would have thought it was sleeping except it's eyes followed him when he moved around the room. When the elf jumped down from his chair and looked at the door, Marcus was not surprised to see two guards walk in. One of them walked a little closer than the other and said, "Sir, you have been invited to join the Captain and his friend in another room." The man was not going to give Marcus the ability to turn the offer down. It was an order probably from Frank Cole. Marcus turned and nodded. He wanted out of the room anyway and was hoping to see more of Frank Cole's set up. If he ever got the man under his control, this island would make a great place to hide and plan for what he saw as the inevitable future of the Magical world.
Sasha shook her head. "You said I chose when. I choose never!" She had no intention of ever talking with Marcus. Sasha never liked the little tag-along of Daniel's. He was after her husband and she had no intention of helping him or Fixer.
Before she could add anything to her refusal to see Marcus, her door opened and a guard proceeded the evil man into the room, followed by another guard. Cole pushed himself out of his chair and motioned to a chair at the small round table, which was between his and Sasha's. Motioning to the guards to stand close and ready, Cole looked at Marcus and said, "You have asked to talk with Sasha McChey. You will have half an hour to make whatever case you want to make, then the meeting between you two will end. Sasha will be returned to anywhere she wishes to go to." Cole looked at Punta and mentally told him to stay also. Having Punta and Artkee in the room gave him some extra security. After Marcus had taken his chair, Cole again straddled his. Marcus sat back from the table the picture of total relaxation. His legs were crossed at the knees and his hands rested relaxed in his lap.
Sasha stood and headed for the door before Marcus could speak. As she reached the door The Headmistress said as if Marcus had not even entered the room, "You can tell me a few things. One I know what he wants and the answer is No! Two go back into hiding because if he even thinks of talking to me the next time we meet..." She purposely dropped the guard as she finished, "He won't have to worry about Daniel's killer cause I will show him why the Magi call me Raven!" Sasha looked at Frank Cole as she said, "Return me to Hogwarts and then forget it or I exist if you want no problems from me. Daniel brought on his own destruction and I will not ever be a part of those who thought he held all the answers."
Cole did not get up out of his chair. The other guard was helping his team mate up off the floor. The specialist fisted his hands at his side when he was finally back on his feet, but he glanced at Cole who shook his head. The guard slowly stood back up straight and went to almost parade rest. Cole looked at Sasha and ordered, "You will return to your seat Madam. You will not be returning to Hogwarts until you and Marcus have had your discussion. If you choose to not return to your seat voluntarily, I will have you forcibly returned to it. Remember Sasha, my elves can still do magic on this island and they will not hurt you, but they will comply with what I request of them. Now sit."
Sasha who still had no intention of even listening to Marcus said, "You have sealed your fate Mr. Cole. You have shown me you are no better than him. I have chosen to not give the coward the answer he seeks. I have chosen to return to the school. You say I am not a prisoner but will not allow me to leave. I will though say this, if I ever reveal the killer all you have will die with him? Now he has his clue and yours and Shadow's fates along with the killer's is sealed. Though why the man who would run when Daniel needed him most thinks he can take out the killer I will never know. I will say he will fail as Daniel did. Goodbye!"
Marcus was quick as he grabbed Sasha by the throat saying, "How dare you! You tell me that name now!" He squeezed her throat as he said, "What does Shadow have to do with Daniel's murder? I want answers and you My puppet are going to give them. Your gift is mine or your niece will find Shadow the least of her worries! Understand! You Never Threaten Me!"
Cole did not have to signal Punta and Artkee to react. They were both close to Marcus and Sasha in a heartbeat. Marcus found himself forcibly planted back in his chair and so did Sasha. Cole pushed himself up and walked over to Sasha and checked her throat. It was red but there was no apparent injury. One of the elves would tell him if she needed medical attention. Both his guests were magically glued to their chairs. Slowly he returned to his seat. Straddling the chair he folded his arms on the table. "I think we have established Sasha is not going to give up the name of who killed Daniel, even if she knows it." Cole raised his eyebrows in her direction then lowered them and continued, "Is there anything else Marcus you wish to talk to her about, before she returns to Hogwarts or wherever else she wishes to go?" Cole got a mental picture of Tarik being in one of the other guest rooms. The man had arrived, but Cole would finish here first. He still had not decided when he was going to bring Marcus and Tarik together.
Marcus fought his bonds as did Sasha. He was furious as he said, "Oh she will tell me or I will order what Daniel should have a long time ago!" He faced Sasha as he finished, "The Death of every member of your family while you are forced to watch! You, my Seer will be leaving with me as will a few others! Then I will get my answers as you beg to join your family in death but I will never give you either freedom or death!" He knew she had the answer.
Sasha was terrified but refused to show it to the coward before her. She relaxed as she felt her husband Tarik. Both men would see why most feared the Medjai of old. Tarik was an empath but refused to accept the truth that his older brother was a cold blooded killer. She also knew he idolized Darik and it would destroy her husband to learn the truth about the night of Daniel's murder. Sasha could care less about the others but Tarik was her husband and she understood Darik's reasons for the choice the elf made that night. She shook her head as she too could not destroy Tarik by revealing the truth that Daniel had been the reason he had no clue about Khalid's location. She frowned as she knew that even Tarik's blood brother Dempsey had betrayed Tarik.
Cole just sat back in his chair grabbing the back with his hands. "Sasha will not be leaving with you Marcus. Our agreement was that you would be able to talk with her and that I have complied with. She will be able to return to wherever she wishes in a very short time, since you don't seem to have any other questions for her." Cole had seen it in Sasha's eyes when she realized Tarik was on the island. This would mean Tarik also knew she was here. "Final chance Marcus, do you have any other questions for Sasha?"
(a vision Sasha is having)Sasha grinned as her husband came through the door. Her smiled faded as several men who she recognized as Seven dropped her husband. She watched in horror as Marcus ordered them to torture him and if Fixer interfered to kill the girl that brought them. As one of the men reached her, Marcus gloated as he ordered the man to release him. He then got up and reached her in seconds. Bending down he undid her binds as he again grabbed her throat saying, "I already have Tia and Tarik how many must died before you understand I own you and as such threatening me only kills those you love?" Sasha's body shook as she understood either way Fixer had by protecting her destroyed his cover. He was a marked man and he had chosen but it sealed his fate.
Marcus smiled as he sat watching the beautiful Sasha. Her eyes showed she was again getting a vision and from her shaking it was terrifying. She would be his and then her gift would help him gain control of the world. He said, "Sasha, I have you and soon I will break you. I wonder if I should use what is in my pocket on you?"
Cole slammed his palms down on the table, the sound vibrating through the room. He shoved his body out of his chair and now stood next to Marcus. "I allowed you to medicate her once Marcus, but I think we are done. Sasha will not be yours and apparently I am also going to break off relationships with you." Cole knew he could get some of his troops into the organization, he had just been hoping not to have to send anyone under cover. He would protect the men and women of his army, but each of them had been told from the beginning what might happen if they joined him. A few had backed out, but the majority of those he asked to join had jumped in with two feet and were fierce in their loyalty to each other and to him.
"I think it is time for you to leave Marcus. If you ever need my services again, I might be available for the right price. I will not be a party to you terrorizing those who I consider worthy of my protection. Remember that... because I never lie. Mess with those I protect and take your possible future deeper into darkness." Cole motioned for Punta and Artkee to release the man and take him to the exit platform. He considered where he wanted to send him too. Slowly Cole smiled as he whispered in Punta's ear. The elf smiled broadly and nodded. Marcus was man-handled out of the room. Cole was going to have him dumped into the middle of one of the Muggles garbage barges which were in some of the major cities of the Muggle world. The idea of helping the Muggles get rid of some of the millions of tons of garbage they created had come in front of the Council, but no way could be found to hide the use of the magic which would have been needed. The magical world did help where it could though, especially in the rural areas where Muggles would not notice a ton missing here or there, like in landfills.

SASHA
Cole turned back to Sasha and had the elf Tarka, who had entered when the others had left, release Sasha. "You will now be returned to Hogwarts or anywhere else you wish to return too. I will continue to have people watching the school." When the look of horror and anger jumped across Sasha's face Cole clarified his statement. "They will be watching to make sure no harm comes to the school or the children which we can prevent. The drug Marcus gave you will wear off in about twenty minutes. There are no side effects, Sasha. I know you don't understand why this had to be done this way, but it was necessary to control your visit with Marcus and this was the only way I knew how to do that. I promise you, you were in no real danger at anytime. Now, Tom will show you out. Take care and watch your backs. Let the Caretaker Group know what happened today. You have friends you don't know about Headmistress. Someday maybe I can tell about all of them." Cole motioned toward the door, where Tom stood holding it opened.
Sasha smiled as she asked, "Neo and my husband? You do know Marcus will mark you for death? I am sorry Gatherer but to give up Daniel's killer would destroy my husband. I, like Darik do not have the heart to do that. watch how much you trust your father in law. Daniel forced the man's hand but the man is truly a cold blooded killer. I doubt he can be saved but I also think it is not salvation he seeks but revenge. I hope you still know the difference between Justice and Vengeance."
She looked at Tom and said "Take me to my husband!"
Tom looked at the Captain for his orders. When the Captain shook his head no, he prepared to have to fight to get the lady off the island. He didn't like fighting women, even when he knew for certain they could defend themselves. It had always been one of the hardest parts of his training to get though. Whoever was running the classes knew this and they always pushed him to keep fighting and not worry if the opponent was male or female. He knew the Captain was apprised of the problem, and he also knew the Captain would feel sympathy for him. One other thing was certain though, if he brought the subject up, again he would find himself with only female opponents for a very long time when he was in training. And the Captain's small force was always training in some way, the Captain right beside them.
Cole shook his head. Tom was not going to like what might happen next, but the man would not disappoint him. Sasha would not be hurt, but she needed to leave the island. Tarik was being shielded from most of her thoughts and feelings by the elves. The Magi would know his wife was on the island, but he would not be able to tell how she was feeling or what she was going though. Cole had originally brought Tarik here to talk with Marcus, but that had changed. Now Cole was just going to explain what had happened to his wife and send him home. Easy right? Cole tried not to cringe at the thought of going up against Tarik. The man was his equal and the only thing which was going to allow him to not end up in a knockdown drag out fight of fists, legs and magic was the presents of the elves. "I'm sorry Sasha. I need to talk with Tarik, then I will be happy to send him back to you. Please follow Tom." Cole planted his feet shoulder width apart and crossed his arms across his chest, daring her to fight him on this.
Sasha shook her head as she said, "No he knows I am here and I won't have you on the receiving end of his fury! Sorry but I know my husband and he will tear this island apart looking for me. You kept your promise to him and I will not allow Marcus to use you as a scapegoat for what he did. Ask the elves as I sense that Tarik's gift is giving even them trouble. Fixer I need to calm him down as like the elves he felt the drug enter my body and since we are connected you can understand what the drug is doing to his control." She was worried but only because in this drug induced state her husband was suggestible.
Cole rubbed the back of his neck, while staring at Sasha. He was trying to figure out if it would be better to bring the husband and wife together or send Sasha back to the school and talk with Tarik alone. He had kept his promise to the Magi and kept Sasha safe. It had possibly cost him an in with the Seven unless Marcus needed something he could give him. Over the next few weeks he would be seeing who he could get to infiltrate the organization. Marcus was smart, but not as smart as Daniel. The man did not have the knack of knowing what was going on behind his back. Marcus thought he was too powerful, that no one would dare go against him. This meant he would not pay attention to what the little people in his organization were doing around him. If it worked out right Cole just might be able to get someone up the rungs into an authoritative position. Any men or woman he sent in would have more than one escape route and they would be followed by others who only job it was to help them if they needed it. Cole always made sure each and every one of his troops knew that they all counted and were all important.
He walked over to Tom and whispered in his ear, for him to bring Tarik into the room. Turning back to Sasha he said, "Please have a seat Sasha. I have sent Tom to get Tarik. Remember though, magic only works on this island for the elves and those I agree to have them allow to use it. There is no way off this island but through me. I will not hesitate to take any one down, including you, if you decide to fight me. Don't make me restrain you or otherwise treat you as guest on my island."
Sasha smiled as she sat down. "Of course, Frank what about Neo? Marcus hurt him just to get me to get visions. Can you do something?"
She turned her head as she said, "Be careful Tom. My husband can be deadly when his gift gets out of his control." Her head was getting clearer and she was wondering why she was acting as if she trusted this man. Had she forgotten what her vision had revealed about the man known as Fixer and who he worked for. She shook her head to clear it.
She went to stand as she said, "Nice try Fixer but my answer to any meeting with Marcus is No!" Her mind was clear but she had a bad feeling that the meeting had already happened. Her hand went towards her throat as she remembered Marcus' words. She stared at Fixer as she said, "So I guess you have finally chosen? Stay Away from my niece cause I will not allow you to corrupt her or Lance."
Tom left to bring the Magi into the meeting. Cole turned, placing his hands on his hips he said, "Sit back down Sasha. You are feeling like you are because Marcus shot you with a drug which allowed you to see clearly without preconceptions of how you are supposed to feel creeping in. At the moment we are going to talk to your husband about what has happened. I have chosen to let you stay, but..." Cole walked over to her and got in her space, "that can be changed very easily. Now either sit back down, or I will have you delivered back to Hogwarts." Tarik was due to walk through the door any moment. Cole didn't mind Tarik seeing Sasha in the room. He had promised the Magi he would protect his wife and he had done that. Tarik's blood magic would be kept under control by the elves so he wasn't worried about that. He just hoped the man would give him enough time to explain what Cole knew he had felt through his empathy abilities before he started to fight. Cole silently told Punta, Artkee and Tarka to stand back but be ready to assist.
Sasha shook her head as she said, "I don't care what Marcus gave me. You are not getting what you want from my husband Tarik! Not now, Not ever! Now send all three of us home!" She was scared cause a deal like this is how Daniel almost got the translation. Her husband had never agreed that he would exchange the Runes Translation for protection for Tia but that is what Daniel believed. Her mind showed her Daniel's anger when Tarik refused. She remembered the vision that had sent her to confront Daniel at St. Mungo's.
Sasha shook her head as she said, "It has given my husband enough pain. Leave Tarik alone and unless you want to learn firsthand why the Magi call me Raven, Leave my family out of yours and Khalid's revenge! I have insured Tarik never learns the whereabouts of his elder brother so leave him be or I will destroy your father-in-law myself!"
Cole was about to tell Sasha to sit down again when the door opened and Tarik entered followed by Tom and two other specialist. Tarik's robes were rumbled as if he had been fighting, but there were no marks on his face or on any of the others. Cole moved around Sasha and walked to where Tarik stood, looking back and forth between him and his wife. Bowing slightly Cole said, "Welcome Tarik. Please have a seat at the table." Cole looked at Tom and signaled that he wanted to know why Tarik had been able to keep his robes. His lieutenant just shrugged. The two specialist had not taken their eyes off the Magi. Both of them stood with their fists balled, ready to swing. "Gentlemen," Cole said in their direction, "You are dismissed." The two troopers looked one more time at Tarik, went to attention, snapped salutes and walked out. "That's better. Tom you can stay but stand down, please."
"Yes Captain, as you order." Tom took one step back toward the door, but he was still on point if needed.
Cole looked back to Tarik, who had not moved. "I have asked that you please be seated Magi. Your wife has requested to stay. She was given the option of leaving but has instead decided it would be better if she was here." Turning slightly toward the three elves, Cole added, "The elves behind you are Tocoferty Punta, Tocoferty Artkee and Tocoferty Tarka. They have all had special training by Tocoferty Darik." Cole hoped if he used the elves titles, Tocoferty meaning Son of Person Who Gives Life or Prince in the Muggle language, he would show Tarik, he had not changed since the last time they had talked at Tia and Landon's wedding on the island. Cole again motioned toward the chairs.
Tarik shook his head as he motioned for Sasha to follow him saying, "I came for my wife, Mr. Cole and now that I have her we will be leaving." He turned to face Tom as he said, "Tom, you need to teach those other two that when I say nobody touches a Magi's robes, they really need to listen. I will kill them next time they try to remove my robes." Tarik watched as Sasha stood beside him. He was puzzled as his wife was still worried though her mind was finally clear.
He asked, "Sasha what is wrong? We are headed home."
Sasha smiled as she held Tarik's hand. She shook her head as she answered, "Neo! We can't leave him here. Also Fixer is up to something." She visions were showing her that Fixer was not intending them leaving yet.
Tarik smiled as he looked at Tom saying, "Where is he?"
Cole didn't answer Tarik. Slowly he went and sat in one of the four chairs around the table. He leaned back in the chair, placed his elbows on the arms and steepled his finger in front of his face. Resting his lips on the tips of the fingers he studied them for a moment. He dropped his fingers on his chest and smiled. After a moment he motioned toward the other chairs. "Please be seated Magi. You and your wife are not going anywhere until we talk. Neo is sleeping comfortably in another room. He will most likely be allowed to leave with you, if he wishes but at the moment he is of no concern. Now please be seated or I am afraid I must ask the elves to assist you." Cole didn't want to forcibly make Tarik and Sasha sit. He knew the elves would remove Tarik's robes before they would force them into a chair. He needed Tarik to understand what Marcus was planning or at least try and plan. Sasha would never tell him all of it, because she was afraid of having her husband hurt, and mistakenly thought if she kept Marcus' intent from Tarik, he would not go after the man. Of, course Cole didn't want him going after Marcus either, but he needed the Magi to take what was happening seriously.
Tarik shook his head as he said as he relaxed, "no concern Mr. Cole! I think not. Neo is a concern for my wife which means he is leaving with me and Sasha now! We have nothing to discuss as I know exactly what Marcus Linthux and you tried in regards to my beautiful Sasha."
He looked at the elves as he said bowing, "I respect you my friends but stay out of this and the robe stays on me." He reached into his robes and pulled his blades. He knew Fixer would recognize them from their first meeting at Hog's Head last term. He looked at Fixer daring him to try and stop him.
Tom smiled. Acting as if he was going to make his way to the table, he reached out and pinched Tarik's neck, hitting the one pressure point that would drop the man to the floor. He caught Tarik as he sank to the floor making sure the man's knives stayed clear of his own body. When Tarik was all the way down he stood and looked at the Captain for any clue on how to handle Sasha. The elves had already started to carefully remove the Magi's robes. They would lay him out on the bed until he was revived.
Sasha was furious at Tom and chose to teach the man not to blind slide her husband.
Cole smiled and pointed to Sasha, who had taken a very defensive stance, close to where the elves now had Tarik's robes off and folded. He was being carefully raised off the floor with the use of Elfin Magic and floated toward the Queen size bed. Cole was interested in how Tom would handle the situation. He knew Tom was having trouble with the idea of attacking and possibly hurting a woman he admired, and who he knew Cole would have a problem if he seriously hurt her. He also knew Sasha was well able to fight. When Tom pulled his knife out of his boot, Cole raised his eyebrows but quickly nodded his head. Tom was backed up to the edge of the bed and threatening to cut Tarik. Cole looked at Sasha.
Sasha sadly shook her head as Max's godson threatened her husband if she tried anything else. "Let him go or I drop your boss, Tom!", Sasha said knowing it was an empty threat. The fight in Sasha was gone as she watched helpless.
She turned to Fixer as if asking what he was planning for them. She was scared cause Tarik had openly threatened Fixer.
Tom shook his head. The woman had no weapons and the Captain had not moved from his chair so he was not worried about the threat from Sasha. The Captain was smiling. Tom mentally gave himself a high-five. He wouldn't step away from the now reclining Magi until Sasha sat back at the table but his mussels were more relaxed.
Cole nodded to Tom and smiled. The man had handled the situation with finesse. Later he would re-establish his rank to Lieutenant. It had been removed, not long ago because he had put Tia into a dangerous situation, without thinking. "Sasha please have a seat and I will have the elves wake Tarik, but not until you are seated."
Sasha shook her head as she said, "I will stay with my husband and suffer his fate," She would protect Tarik even if she had to deal to save him. "I will give Marcus the killer just don't..."
Cole pushed himself up and walked to where Sasha was sitting. He reached down and gently stood her on her feet. Her fight was gone. "Come Sasha, have a seat at the table and then we will get Tarik awake." He lead her to the table and pulled out a chair for her making sure she was comfortable. She had not taken her eyes off the bed. Cole signaled Tom to step away from the bed and for the elves to wake the Magi. Standing over Sasha, in a threatening manner, to try and prevent Tarik from acting irrationally, Cole crossed his arms across his chest.
Sasha was scared as she was lead to the seat she sat in earlier. All she could do was pray that Khalid wanted his baby brother alive. She asked again, "What are you planning for my husband? I know he pulled his blades but please Fixer..."
Tarik was furious as he opened his eyes and grabbed the man he had known all the boy's life. He noticed where Tom's eyes were so he released him. "Well Fixer, you Marcus' puppet now? Where is my robes and blades?" Tarik knew it was unlikely he would get either back. Narrowing his eyes he promised, "Hurt her and you will live only long enough to regret it! Now release her!" he said still not thinking clearly. The elves had been kind but there was still after effects of their magic.
Tarik stood and shakily made his way over to the table, staring first at Cole, daring him to do anything. Tarik reach for Sasha's hand and gently squeezed it as he said, "No Sasha you said Daniel brought about his own death and it was self defense. You will be marking a man. Marcus will destroy the man and his family. You saw it happen in your vision. Please sweetheart you don't ever have to comply with the likes of Linthux." Still holding his wife's hand he looked back up at Fixer. "What now?" The man had his wife and he would do anything to protect her. Fixer knew this. He had to protect Sasha. "Send her home and I will stay." Tarik tried not to plead, but for the love of his life he would.
Cole calmly returned to his seat and motioned to the chair between him and Sasha. He was purposely letting Tarik figure he was between them. As Tarik sat down, Cole began his explanation. "First Sasha is not going to give Marcus anything." He looked at Tarik. "I promised you I would try and keep your wife as safe as possible and that is why I set up the meeting between Marcus and Sasha here. He was determined to talk with her." Turning to Sasha, who's eyes were glued to Tarik, he continued. "Sasha, he was planning on kidnapping you anyway he could so he could talk with you, and none of you realized the pure evil intent of what he was planning. I am sure I have pulled his attention more in my direction." Cole held up his hand when Tarik was about to speak. "No, I am not saying you all need to let down your guard. The man is not as good at accomplishing what he wants as Daniel was, but he is egotistical and thinks he has power, and that fact alone makes him more dangerous." Cole raked his hands through his hair. "I will double my guard on the school and the children, but you know I still have to stay behind the scenes as much as possible. I am still hoping to get someone into his organization."
Cole looked up at Tom when the man took a quick step forward. "No Lieutenant you cannot go in. Marcus knows who you are, number one and two, I need you here. You do need to help me watch the men and see who might be good for the job. It will have to be a man, because Marcus does not trust women to be strong enough to do what he is going to want done. It also has to be someone young, because Marcus would consider them not very experienced and impressionable enough to be able to be turned. If you get someone you think might fit the bill, you have my permission to start training them. If you can get them to a point where you think they will work out, I will interview them and see what other training they need for the black ops job."
Tom saluted and said, "Yes Captain. I will start looking as soon as we are done." By the look on his face, Cole knew the man realized he was returned to Officer duty. Turning back to Tarik he said, "Magi, maybe it is time to bring your lovely wife up to speed on what is happening around her." Turning to Sasha he continued, "I am not the enemy Sasha, no matter what you think. I have been protecting the school for a very long time. Yes I do work in some ways for Khalid, and I cannot explain to you why at the moment, but know this, I will never purposely allow one of the children or even another innocent to be hurt. There is a much bigger picture going on and will continue indefinitely until all of the people are in place to take down the Clan and then the Dark Wizards. All you have to do is protect the school as much as you can." Cole stopped talking and waited to see if any of the information he had just given had sunk in.
Sasha shook her head as she said, "Tarik, Marcus either has or will have Ash. In my vision Ash was obeying a vampire. He ordered the vampire to turn her in front of her twin Luke. Her first meal will be Star if Luke does not do something Marcus wants done. My vision did not show what but it must have to do with the school or Tia because Marcus loved the inner pain the choice caused Luke."
Tarik nodded as he said, "Sasha the drug Marcus gave you? You okay from it?" He knew Fixer was not done with him but asked anyways, "So my blades and robes or am I staying a while? And Sasha has seen why you are working with my brother, Fixer. She has not told me the vision but I do know she has decided to not to ever trust you or my brother. I have decided not to push the issue with her. Also you have somebody in the Seven already or did you forget one Khalid and two Chameleon?" Tarik looked deep into Sasha's eyes and knew she had seen a vision.

(OOC: I have permission to say what Cole said and did.}
