Family/History:
It was pouring rain on November 1st, 1808, the night that Artemis Ancarri came screaming into this world. He was born to Tiberius and Amelia Ancarri in Marseilles, France. Tiberius and his lovely wife were nobility and they doted on their new son frequently. Artemis never wanted for much as a child. As soon as he asked for something it was given to him. As Artemis began to grow up he became fond of reading, and began studying to become an author at the early age 10. Books were Artemis' escape from the ever daunting life of a Nobleman's son.
During the winter of 1828 things would change for Artemis forever. Artemis was an incredibly handsome and suave young man. He was attending the university, preparing to become an author and taking time to enjoy life as a young man. The holidays we approaching rapidly and he had made plans to return home for Christmas to see his Mother and Father who since, had brought another child into the world. A girl named, Dahlia.
Artemis was enjoying being home in Marseilles. Life was slower there than it was in Paris where he was attending school. He took long walks around his family's estate with his sister who was now twelve years old. She wanted to know everything about life in the big city and longed to join her brother in Paris. It was during one of these walks that their world's would change forever.
The Christmas chill cut right through to the bone as they strolled their family's acreage. They had just began to turn back towards the mansion when they heard a loud bang. They looked at each other for a long moment before realization seemed to hit them. "Gun fire." Artemis said softly. The two siblings ran as fast as they could towards the mansion. As they approached they saw black smoke beginning to rise into the air as flames consumed the bottom floor of the mansion.
After telling his sister to stay back, Artemis ran into the mansion only to find his father dead on the floor. He had been stabbed in the stomach as was lying in a pool of his own blood. Artemis fought back the urge to break down. He knew his mother had to be around somewhere. He ran into the parlor and found her slumped over in a chair. Artemis ran over to her only to find that she had been shot in the chest. He quickly lifted her up and ran out the front door placing her at the foot of the steps before running back in and dragging his father out. Before long the fire brigade had arrived and they struggled to get the fire under control. In the end, the entire house was destroyed. There was nothing left for Artemis or Dahlia to salvage.
Dahlia was taken to live with one of their aunt's while Artemis returned to Paris to continue with his school. By 1830 he has finished his education and settled into nice home outside of Paris. He was able to live quite comfortably with the money he inherited from his father's estate. Artemis made himself apart of the local social politics and often frequented the high class bars that Paris had to offer. One night Artemis' life took a drastic turn. He entered the bar and immediately became enamored with a stunning blond haired beauty.
She introduced herself as Claudette and the two hit it off. Artemis met with her every night for a week at the same time and was becoming quite infatuated with her.On the seventh night she took him to the roof of the bar and explain to him that she was a vampire. She offered him a world beyond the one she knew. He would never get sick or die. He would live forever as he was now. Artemis accepted.
After that night he never saw Claudette again. She had vanished completely it seemed. Artemis cherished the memory of those few nights he spent with her. He used his new found strengths to weave his way into the upper-class socialites guarantying himself a comfortable lifestyle.
Artemis has found that living forever is not everything that Claudette made it out to be. Watching those he let himself care for wither and die while having to adjust to the changing of the times. Almost two centuries have passed since the night he accepted the sweet crimson embrace the shadows had to offer.
Artemis moves through Europe amassing his fortune and continuing his search for Claudette. In almost two centuries Artemis has turned only one person into a vampire. Marietta De Luca. She was a poor uneducated girl who was pretty and quick witted. Artemis turned her and educated her. She is his only companion as the centuries pass. They have watched as wars and have come and gone. Now, there is a new war on the horizon. Whispers can be heard all over the world. Who are The Seven? Who is this Marsden?
Artemis has arrived in England looking for information on the Seven and their intentions. There's something about this situation that makes him uneasy. Is this Marsden a gift or a curse? That is the question Artemis Ancarri wishes to find an answer to.
In recent times Artemis has met Daniel Marsden and been appointed as the ambassador between the Seven and the rest of vampire kind. Since the disappearance of Marietta, Artemis has grown restless and fed up with human life, choosing side with Marsden rather than keep protecting the humans.
